Nickname/Alias: Eli
Age/Date Of Birth: 16 (June 19, 1997)
Race: Human
Occupation: Student

Abilities
POWERS AND ABILITIES:
Audiokinesis (Sound Manipulation). Eli can create and modify sound waves to mimic, intensify, hush, and distort, as well warp, strengthen, echo, speed up, and slow down sound, using it as a powerful physical force and high-speed movement. He is able to amplify sound or nullify it completely, giving the impression of deafness. He is also able to project sound to an alternate location, similar to ventriloquism, though the ability works for any sound as opposed to only his voice. He has impeccable hearing and is immune to things that normal humans may find uncomfortable or even damaging, such as extremely loud noises or music or high-pitched screeching, etc.
Note: Eli has not fully come into his power yet. At the moment all he really knows is that he can throw his voice like a ventriloquist, loud sounds don't really bother him, and he has really good hearing.
Marksmanship. Excellent shot with firearms or a bow
Forensics. Eli is good at picking up subtle clues at the scene of a crime or attack and putting them together for a case.
Science. Definitely his best subject in school. It's something that he excels in and he applies his knowledge to various situations on a daily basis easily.
Covert. Camouflage, disguise, stealth, lockpicking, safecracking, forgery and pickpocketing are all skills he has been trained in by his parents.
VULNERABILITIES AND WEAKNESSES:
Bad Driver. He has his learner's permit but hasn't yet perfected the art of driving.
Panics Under Pressure. When things get hectic, Eli has a hard time keeping a level head, especially if a loved one is involved. He doesn't always think things through carefully if someone is in danger.
Math. Hates it. Horrible at it. Usually has to count on his fingers.

Personality: In many ways, Eli is a fairly average teenage boy. He likes music, video games, sports, action movies and, of course, girls. He worries about fitting in with his peers and about his grades, even though he is pretty convinced that a future other than hunting isn't in the cards for him. But he's grown up differently than a lot of boys his age. He's had to be responsible for things most adults would find difficult. He's seen things that would drive the average human to the nuthouse, or worse. And through it all, he's remained strong, loyal, and brave.
Eli refuses to sit idly by if someone needs help, no matter how great or how small. He's been raised to have good manners and usually tries to remember to use them, but when he is feeling stressed or panicked, he isn't always the most gracious person around.
Eli tends to use sarcasm as a defense. He's not always trying to be disrespectful, just sometimes when he isn't sure how to handle a situation, it's his natural response. Until very recently, Eli tried to rebel against hunting a bit by acting disinterested in what his father was teaching him and just not trying very hard to pitch in. Now, however, he's realized just how serious things can get, and he's becoming more dedicated to the life of a hunter and all that it entails.

History: Eli is the only son of two experienced hunters, Nathaniel (Nate) McKinley and Sara McKinley (née Coleman). He grew up on the road with them, being home schooled by his parents while also learning the ins and outs of hunting, such as weapon training and lore. It wasn't exactly a conventional childhood, but they were a close family and things were good. At least, they were to Eli... he didn't really know otherwise.
Throughout his childhood, Eli developed an extremely close bond with his parents, which made it all the more difficult when his mother was bitten by a werewolf during the hunt and his parents made the painful decision together that would change his life. At the age of twelve, he didn't fully grasp the concept of a no-way-out situation, so he faulted his father for pulling the trigger that ended his mother's life that night.
For the last four years, Eli has held a grudge against his Dad for what happened. Not so much that he hated the guy, but enough that he started to rebel a bit... sneaking out late at night, half-assing his lessons in combat and ignoring requests to do research on a case. Or if he did pitch in to assist his Dad, he would do so begrudgingly, usually adding a few rolls of the eyes and mutterings of choice swear words under his breath.
But recently his father became involved in something that landed several demons on his tail. Since Eli had become so insubordinate, his father hadn't trusted him with the details of what exactly was going on, so when the demons came to their cabin and kidnapped his father, he was beside himself with grief, confusion and regret. Now, Eli is trying to gather clues on what exactly his Dad was hiding and why the demons wanted him (alive, apparently), and now he searches for the one parent he has left while trying to avoid being picked up by Child Services and placed in a home.

RP Sample: The woman in the photo smiled at Eli as he stared at her, his hands trembling as he tried to block out the sounds of struggle above him. There was barely any light in the little secret cubby under the floorboard in which he hid... just the random beams that shone through the slats, but it was enough for him to see her face clearly. It probably helped that he had stared at this picture of his mother so many times that he had memorized it. And it was a good thing, too. As much as he hated to admit it, the more time went on, the harder it was becoming to really picture her face... to remember what she looked like before she died. And that was why he kept this photo on him - in his pocket - at all times.
Eli managed to get so lost in thoughts and memories of his mother that it escaped his immediate notice that the noise above him had died down considerably. He swallowed a thick lump in his throat, his heart beating so loudly that he was afraid the things would hear him and find him in his hiding place. He hadn't wanted to hide, but his father had insisted, knowing he would be outnumbered by the demons who were coming for him. And now that things were quiet again, he waited for the sound of his father's voice telling him that it was safe to come out.
But it didn't come.
Eli wasn't sure how long he held his breath, waiting. He didn't even really mean to. He was just so terrified and tense... but then he finally let it all out in a deep sigh, swallowed, and carefully pushed open the hatch, peering out of it and looking around for any sign of his father, or of the things that had come for him. What he found was nothing but a bit of splattered blood. No demons. No Dad. Eli gripped the edges of the little hole and pulled himself out of it, calling softly for his dad as he grabbed the shotgun that was leaning against the wall and began carefully searching the old rustic cabin for any signs of life... or otherwise.
