Full Name: Aura Sapphire
Nickname/Alias: Other Gargoyles who know who she is often refer to her as "Mother" or "Mom"
Age/Date Of Birth: Ancient, May 10th
Race: Gargoyle
Occupation: Alpha, Sculptor
Species Group: Creature/Gargoyle
Play-By: Gemma Arterton
Abilities
As the Alpha of the Gargoyles, Aura is exceptionally more powerful than any other Gargoyle. Salt does not effect her and she can cross salt lines with little issue and if it touches her skin it will be more of an annoyance than an actual trigger of pain. Breaking through to her stone heart to destroy it is also an exceptionally hard task as the stone that makes up her body is much heavier and thicker than other Gargoyles and it requires a lot of effort to break through it to get to her. She carries a link to Eve as well as a telepathic connection to all Gargoyles. At any point, she is able to summon friendly or indebted spirits to her aid as well as other Gargoyles who will heed her call. She can also break their daytime paralysis and operate at any hour of the day with a bit of effort.
Her Gargoyle form resembles her in human form in its stone features, standing taller than many Gargoyles and is clearly more feminine and regale in appearances. Her stone is a sleek, beautiful white and her wings are much larger and powerful looking and lined with various precious stones along the edge. A beautiful and deadly creature by all accounts.
Using a similar ritual to how Eve brought her to be, Aura can craft other Gargoyles out of stone with a complex ritual. The ritual involves sculpting a Gargoyle's body out of stone to a very specific standard so it may hold life - Aura often puts painstaking detail into this stage of the ritual as she wants the new being to be comfortable in its body and it could take her weeks, months or even years to properly finish a single statue depending on how much detail she sees fit. Once the body is crafted it initiates the second phase of the ritual where Aura must craft the creatures heart and etch runes into it with her blood in her human form, should these Runes be even slightly off, the heart will not take to the body and will turn the entire sculpture into dust. But when done correctly, she can conduct one final ritual where she can bind the heart to the body and insert it and bring the Gargoyle to life the following New Moon.
-Immortality, Gargoyles do not age.
-Supernatural Strength, all Gargoyles are strong but with being the alpha - Aura is exceptionally more so. She can easily crush stone, lift heavy objects and even kill other Gargoyles with ease.
-Invulnerability, Gargoyles are immune to normal weapons effects when in their stone form.
-Wing Manifestation, Gargoyles can manifest stone wings which allow them to fly in both their human and creature forms. In the case of Aura's they are much larger than other Gargoyles wings.
-Physical/Astral Dual Existence, Gargoyle's exist on both the physical and astral plane. They can see and interact with the spirits they are tasked to protect those who haven't moved on. They are able to easily drain or rip apart a spirit and even grab onto them. This ability is often used when an evil or vengeful spirit gets out of hand.
-Shapeshifting, Gargoyles can shift between a stone creature form or a human form.

★ She wants to ensure her race and her children are not driven to extinction

Personality:
Aura is a caring creature for the most part. She is a motherly, caring being towards those she decides to be - but at the same time can be a powerful, frightening enemy that can strike terror into those she labels as enemies. She is capable of showing great amounts of love and caring for the people she cares about and extreme ruthlessness to her enemies. She seeks to give her children and allies the best she can manage out of life and puts painstaking hours of work into helping them live a happy existence in life. She's a natural born leader who puts her people first in every choice she makes and is willing to make the hard choices for their sake... even if she has to do bad things in order to keep them safe - her Gargoyles or people she cares about always come first.
Aura is also a very charismatic and artistic soul - she sees her creation of new Gargoyles as an art and she puts painstaking detail into them. People tend to want to listen to her, and she is very convincing and charming with a natural aura around her that makes people want to trust her with her kind nature - though this can be a fatal mistake, because if you are in her way to a goal she will manipulate you consistently until she gets what she wants. She isn't easily shaken from her goals - especially those involving her people. She is very passionate about protecting her species and being a Gargoyle and her pride shows as, when questioned on her species, she will never deny what she is.

History:
When Eve created the other Alpha's in the beginning of Earths existence, Aura was among the last made. Eve fashioned her body from stone and crafted her heart from precious stones and - unlike the ritual now used - bonded a spirits energy to it before placing it into her stone body and was brought into the world as a tall stone statue. She learned early on in her life how to take on a human form and to adjust her body accordingly and often spent as much time as she could with her mother, Eve. She soon began to feel lonely, however and in response to such, Eve taught her how she was to craft other Gargoyles.
She didn't wander as much as other Alpha's might, often focusing her efforts in crafting her race from stone in what would later become the European or Middle Eastern parts of the world and placing herself as a guardian of the spirit realm along with the Gargoyles which she created. They were forced to take on human appearances for most of their time on Earth and blend into society for many years, conducting their duties for the spirit realm in secret so not to draw attention to them as a species and keep humans blissfully unaware of their existence while they weaseled their way into many cultures - everything from Ancient Greece to Egypt.
When she finally decided that she had crafted enough of her species, having a stable following that would come to her beck and call, Aura decided to finally wander the world. She saw many things in her travels and would craft even more Gargoyles as she went, everything from the early beginnings of Asian empires to the start of many cultures - she even spent a brief period in Atlantis while it was under her Brothers rule, though she ended up circling back to the European area during the early onset of the middle ages where she ended up befriending a dragon who went by the name La Gargoille as he was called by the townsfolk of the nerby settlement in Rouen - she actually formed a brief relationship with the dragon, but it was cut short when the dragon was slain by a Christian Priest named Romanus who hung up the dragons body and burned it at the stake as an example after hanging his head up on a wall. This led to the origin of Gargoyles as people know them today, because soon after the death of La Garoille, the priest Romanus vanished before Aura could catch up with him. In an attempt to find him, she ordered every Gargoyle to perch atop churches and watch for the man - and thus led to what people know as Gargoyles today in myth... though not quite the guardians they think they were.
Romanus was never found again by any of the placed Gargoyles, and it left Aura in a frustrated state. She departed from Europe once more. This time, she crossed the sea. She began exploring the world in a larger scale and every night when she awoke she would simply pick a direction and fly in it. She observed early Native Americans before they were touched by European explorers for about a century, and even took a role in Abenaki mythology.
It was a brutal instance where the tribe was being haunted by a evil spirit that was aptly named "The Ghost-Witch" in the English tongue. This spirit was a Draugr, the angered spirit was of a woman who was murdered under suspicion of being an evil sorcerer that was cursing the tribe. When she came back in her own corpse, she began attacking and devouring members of the tribe and no warriors could best it when she attacked. It being a spirit - Aura stepped in. She landed in the middle of a thunderstorm with six other gargoyles to ensure that the powerful spirit did not escape - it actually proved to be a problem even for her to handle, but in the end the seven Gargoyles overpowered the angry draugr and killed the spirit. The tribe witnessing this named their seven protectors the "Badogiak."
When she reverted to her human form following this instance, the tribe treated her as a god and... honestly she enjoyed it for a time. She lived near the tribe, having taken a liking to the people and made it her personal mission to keep them safe from the supernatural elements of the world. She likely would have remained there when she received a telepathic plea for help from a Gargoyle overseas during the time of European expansion - a group of witches were targeting Gargoyles in the masses - and the scarier part was that an effective large group of them with the help of a powerful witch that simply went by "The Father" and his two apprentices.
In a hurry, Aura crossed over the sea again in order to save her children, though by the time she had arrived many were already dead. It came to light that The Father and his apprentices were gathering Gargoyle hearts - seemingly for some kind of ritual. Aura herself confronted him and his apprentices - Matilda and Marcus Stone - on many occasions. Each time she came close to killing them, however, they would vanish or escape by magical means. It grew desperate as more and more Gargoyle's began to die as the Fathers group - as well as Hunters who took notice in the conflict - began targeting her children. They began to die in larger numbers by the month. It looked bleak until, finally, Aura caught up with the witches and slayed The Father in his sleep. This act scared off the Stones and then the only matter was the Hunters involved.
Her race was forced to go into hiding for a very long time, and so Aura ordered that all remaining Gargoyles were to find a safe place where they were with others and go into a deep sleep, to remain still for as long as it took for them to fade from notice. The plan ended up working, and eventually the hunters stopped seeking out the Gargoyles - though in this time, many evil spirits ran wild. Aura went into a deep slumber for many years.
Upon awakening many years later from her long slumber - Aura found herself in a very different world and place. She had been moved to a museum in Industrial London. She wasted no time in escaping it and locating the other remaining Gargoyles finding that there were even fewer than she initially believed. She couldn't waste any time and gathered up all of her people and crossed the ocean back to America to start a new. She and the remaining Gargoyles began integrating into society at a rapid pace while Aura took up the long task of rebuilding their race. She began constructing Gargoyles as quickly as she could, it took her so long to craft new ones, however, that she was forced to bring in help. She went to the oldest of the remaining Gargoyles which she believed she could trust named Mathias and taught him ritual to create other Gargoyles.
She and Mathias worked to restore their race, but Mathias had other plans. When he made a number of Gargoyles - all of which were more "quantity over quality" in their creation against the few that Aura had created - which had more care put into their creation - Mathias revealed his real motive. He sought to overthrow Aura and take her place as the leader in belief that she had failed. He rallied up his Gargoyles that would join him and killed ones that resisted and attempted to kill Aura.
Needless to say, he lost and Aura was forced to rip his and other Gargoyle's hearts out. While she hated herself for it, it solidified her position as the leader and made any who were considering taking the leadership role from their Alpha reconsider when they realized just how she had brought them into the world... and how quickly they could remove them.
Aura began spending as much time as she could building up Gargoyles, while making money off of sculptors that she would sell for money. She managed to pull in quite the fortune, actually in more recent years - adding on to much of the money she and her children have gathered through the years. She began posing as a famous sculptor as her cover story - hunters would be more hesitant to attack her and she would have an excuse to spend all of her time she was willing to commit crafting new Gargoyles in order to bring her species back from the brink.
When Eve returned, Aura was eager to see her mother again. She offered her assistance to the mother of the Alphas in any way that she might need it, but before Aura could do anything substantial - the Winchester brothers killed Eve once more and she was returned to Purgatory... which left Aura rather bitter towards mention of the famous Winchesters.

Revan let everything Lucy was saying hit her at once, and it felt like the feeling the Angel got when she was still powerful, when someone shot her with a shotgun. She felt terrible, like someone had punched her in the gut, or hit her with a baseball bat. She turned around and her hand went over her mouth, feeling like she was going to throw up. It was better that Lucy was dead than deserving this... No one deserved to be a ghost, the sad, sad existence.
Her throat tightened and tears began to well up, trying a hard as she could to keep from breaking down here on the floor.
She turned to Lucy, seemingly three shades paler, her hair not nearly as vibrant as it seemed to be three years ago, her grey eyes dulled to a shade of black. "Lucy... its 2013..." Revan hadn't been keeping track but she had counted three New Years celebrations since Lucy's death. Her hands went to her face and then back to her sides, her nails digging in to her palms until blood leaked down her fingers. "Three years.. I've counted. Three years I've slept alone in the bed. Three years I've drowned my sorrows I alcohol... Three years with my heart ripped from my chest without you here, Heaven and Earth becoming a living hell to me, leaving me with what options?" Revan wasn't going to lie, she had tried her hand at writing stories like Lucy, but that was the best poetry she could do, even if it was free verse.
Tears were dripping down her cheeks again now, and with the flick of her wrist the TV blinked to life and flicked to the news, where the date would be shown. "Everything I told you... Everything you thought I was crazy over, everything you would joke about... About me being an Angel was not a lie." Revan looked up at her again and then to the floor. "I m-missed you so... s-so much." Revan's legs stopped supporting her then and the pink haired woman fell on the floor, her head tilted down and her face in her hands, sobbing. She knew she shouldn't, but she felt as she did on the day of Lucy's death and funeral. Like all the life had been sucked out of her seeing the person she loved at this fate. But there was a part of Revan that was revived with this, the part of her that she had thought was buried with Lucy... Selfish as it may be to her, Revan was so, so happy Lucy was back.
