Likes:
❤Marine life- She spent her whole life around them so it reminds her of her childhood
❤Good Manners- Everyone has their protocol
❤'Antiques'- The things modern people call old still fascinate her
Dislikes:
✗Historic atrocities- She's been around for a long time and all the atrocities bother her greatly
✗Rude people- They are irritating and shouldn't be dealt with. Or should at least be taught proper manners.
✗People who get the story of her grandfather wrong- At LEAST get some of it right!
Fears:
☬Dying - She's lived so long that death actually terrifies her because it holds so many unknowns
☬Technophobia (Fear of Technology)
Goals:
★Find out why she was chosen and do her duty as a chosen one
Personality: Kaeda is a very straight-laced, by-the-books kind of person. She follows rules to the letter and is very good about enforcing them. Otherwise, she's a very caring individual once you get past the stoic exterior. She will gladly bear the loads of others, as was the norm for her back in her time. She has no qualms with helping others out in whatever way she can. She's also very fond of those in close-knit families. She's quite driven by a sense of duty and family. However, she's very old-fashioned, to the point of having an older air about her. She's often mistaken for being an actress because of her severely old-fashioned ways. She's also easily led to a cause that sounds both beneficial and helpful as a whole. If beneficial enough and if the cause will, to her, help a majority, then she views the cause as valid and will fight fiercely for it.

History: Born as the oldest of Leif's grandchildren, Kaeda automatically had the weight of a lineage to carry from the moment she was born. Her childhood years were spent learning the history of her people at the hands of her grandfather, and learning how to live at the hands of her parents. Kaeda, however, always wanted more. She was an adventurous child. One summer, the village could not find the young child and flew into a panic, fearful that a bear or wolf got her. Leif set out by boat to cover more ground. As he did, he found his granddaughter swimming with migrating whales. She swam fluidly and the giant mammals accepted her presence. From then on, she earned the loving nickname 'Iron Fish' from her grandfather.
Because of her vast likeness to Leif, she eventually did what no woman had done before in Viking lore- She learned to fight alongside the men and had the duties and job of men. This did not bother her one bit, however, for she enjoyed it greatly. When her brother Phineas was older, the siblings would spar in the village, practicing for when they went out hunting with the men. Their grandfather and grandmother laughed in delight. These were strong heirs to the Eriksson name.
Soon, however, Leif and his wife passed on. Kaeda took charge for her father, who had grown ill after his father's passing. The family and village looked to Kaeda as they had Leif and many began to wonder when she would wed and should she wed, if her husband would take over. Kaeda heard the whispers and firmly made a choice few women did- she chose never to wed for the sake of her family.
This choice became a good one as countless other vikings or explorers would travel to her village and attempt to knock her from her metaphoric throne. None, however, were successful. She was fierce with a blade and even more fierce with words and politics. The Eriksson line was a desired breed under her era.
Soon, as all empires do, her reign and family fell. A rival clan attacked her home and slaughtered her people and her family. Kaeda lay on the beach, bloody and wounded, the only survivor, left to die slowly and painfully. Then, an old witch by the name of Zaida came to her aid. The old witch brought Kaeda to her hut and nursed her back to health. The witch was known to Kaeda's family as it was said Zaida was a witch of great power and strong vision. Zaida told Kaeda that she was 'chosen', but would not say what for. Simply that she had to go out into the world and find her purpose.
Time passed slowly for Kaeda. She saw many wars, witnessing some first hand. She adapted to the ever changing society, though her heart lay eternally with the old Viking ways. She lived life as a drifter, adopting a nickname 'Kae' from any who met her and attempted to befriend her. She spent the next thousand years adapting and changing. And missing her home and family.

Angie swept back her hair from her eyes, putting a strand behind her ear as she glanced at the map she held on the steering wheel. From her research- and digging through her grandfather's things most of the summer- she was close. The witch she was after was only a few miles away at this point. Apparently she opted to live on a farm house, away from any unsuspecting humans who would stumble over her. And anyone who was stupid enough would never be found again. After all, a thousand things could happen out in the middle of nowhere. A frown creased her lips at that. Everything was just too perfectly set up. She wouldn't be surprised if the witch answered looking like an old woman. It would be a sick sense of irony that made her stomach flip. Humor in the moment was lost to her.
Turning the black truck down the gravel road towards a distant farmhouse, Angie quickly put the map on the passenger seat. It was only a mile away, but it felt like a lifetime. With her pistol hidden inside of the jacket she wore, she quickly adjusted her hair and her appearance to look like that of a ditzy college student who had lost their way. It was the only way she'd be able to get through the door. Inhaling for a moment, she reached in her pocket and pulled out a stick of gum to chew on, snapping and popping it to get in the feel of it.
Moments later, she parked her truck beside an older car in the driveway. Apparently brooms are out of style still. she thought sourly. The farmhouse was brightly colored with a wraparound porch. It looked like a grandmother's house with the lawn ornaments and everything. Tricky witch. She moved out of the truck and walked up to the door, ringing the doorbell before looking around, feigning interest. In all reality, she was looking for any exterior telltale signs of witchcraft. Nothing looked out of the ordinary. But inside would tell her different. A moment later, an older woman answered the door curiously, smiling a bit, clearly surprised. "Hi. Sorry to be a bother, but my truck is completely out of gas and my cell is out of service. Can I borrow your phone to call a tow truck?" The older woman nodded and allowed her in. The gun in her pocket felt heavy. At least with it being a farm house, no one would know what happened. Taking her first step into the house, Angie knew that there was no more going back after this. It was just the beginning.
