★ Finding her husband's murderer
Personality: Phay can easily come off rather basic and unimportant, she tends to not stand out in a crowd. Making little waves she sorta floats down the river of life with a very laid back but positive attitude towards most things. She does help others whenever she can something as small as helping an old lady cross the street to something bigger like exercising the old ladies dead husband. She never turns down a call for assistance.
Don't be fooled though behind that cheeky airhead lies a woman who often knows far more then she lets on. Phay is cunning when it comes her enemies playing the damsel to lower there defences before striking them hard. Its hard to get her cross but if you manage there will be very little words and mostly action. Phay struggles with her true emotions often forcing herself to smile then be affected by loss, keeping everything tucked away till it eventually explodes in her face at the worse possible moment.

History: Phay grew up in the countryside with her uncle Hayden and her cousin Luke. Her mother had her young, too young as her uncle put it and it wasn't long after her mother disappeared leaving Hayden with two young mouths to feed. For the rest of her youth, it was just the three of them, Phay proved to be braver then her older cousin holding a gun at five and shooting it at six. She was adventurous, playful and sometimes a bit brash this was a polar opposite to her shy cousin who's timid nature often got him into trouble. Every holiday was spent in the brush her uncle teaching her how to hunt and track, to use the environment to her advantage. As they grew it seemed as if Phay and Luke switched temperaments, Luke coming out of his shell during his middle school years and Phay becoming much more mature and calm but she never gave up the trade of hunting were as Luke found his one true love with computers. School seemed to finish as quickly as it started Luke went Northwest to study technology and Phay stayed with Hayden learning all she could about the flora and fauna. It was around that following early spring that she met Todd. The snow still laid in patches along the ground when Todd managed to creep up on her without her noticing. His eyes had been so cold Phay ended up scolding him for such a heartless look. His expression quickly changed to that of a softer one explaining that it was simply his game face. When Phay asked what he'd had been hunting he changed the topic.
Two years later they were married, her uncle followed Luke up into the city leaving Phay and Todd in charge of the homestead. It went on like that for several years, Phay hunted less and less, becoming much more of a housewife while working at a small port side restaurant. Todd continued his central trade as a welder. He'd often make Phay train with him in hand to hand combat even swordplay much to her displeasure though she ended up getting very good at it. It was around spring when her husband suddenly began spending more and more time in the forest that lined their yard. It began as several hours eventually turning into several days, each time he'd come home nicked and bruised, legs weak from running, his face full of contempt. Whenever Phay asked he'd simply try to redirect her thoughts and when that began failing he just look at her hopelessly. Phay could tell, whatever it was scared him to his core and she decided to let it go. One night however Phay awoke to find Todd missing along with his rifle, fearing for his safety Phay followed into the woods after him, the rain having left tracks in the mud for her to follow.
Several hours later, Phay found Todd slumped against a tree, his clothes ragged and covered in blood. His face filled with fear as she approached him, Todd's voice was a jumbled mess his words coming out frantic and muddled. There was a snapping of wood as Phay attempted to pull Todd up, turning her eyes widen as several people made a crescent ring around Todd and her. Phay felt her blood run cold as the male in the center stepped out of the darkness and into the moonlight, eyes as black as the night. Phay felt Todd stand up using his body as a shield to hide her behind. His voice was pleading almost begging as the creature before them just chuckled at Todd's words. Fear gripped Phay in a way she'd never felt before. Her mind was frozen as they ripped Todd away from her, the man's voice taunting over Todd's own pleads as the other 'humans' stepped forth.
. What they did to her that night would forever be embedded in her soul, the pain as her skin was flayed, the cries as her body was ravaged. Todd's own screams echoing along with hers begging for help...but nobody came. Phay later awoke in a half buried grave with Todd nowhere to be found. Her heart pounding in her chest as she crawled her way home, only to find it burnt to the ground. Everything she had ever loved was gone and with that, something inside her snapped. Phay quickly picked up her husbands' secret trade taking whatever hadn't been destroyed in the fire with her. She travels the stateside following whatever clues she can find to her husbands murderers and helping anyone that might need it.

RP Sample: 0.Phay raised her head slightly, her nose becoming exposed to the chilly air from underneath her heavy woollen scarf. Light hung low in the sky, its soft reds becoming drenched in blues. Lanterns flickered on as she stared forward. People walked past her, some coming or going to work, others jogging or walking there dogs. Even a few couples clasp hand in hand, trying to get whatever was left of the shortening summer days.
You could smell autumn in the air, making its approach. Phay sighed sinking further into the wooden bench. This park was the quietest place in this town. The outside world was forgotten and it was in this rare moments Phay could let her guard down...just a little. Her body was stiff from not moving all day, she didn't dare try to get up yet not when she'd been waiting so long. She needed to see him again...even just for a second.
Her friend, even though she couldn't be sure if he would recognize her. They had lived two very different lives she imaged. In her years of searching she had often thought up the moment of them reuniting again what it be like. The embraces she would feel from him, the tears she probably shed. The new promise she make to him... “I'd never leave you again.” Phay let go of a breath she had been holding. It didn't happen like that, and like all things she had found him where she had least expected it.
Though really what had she been expecting...? Him locked away in some castle, half frozen with fear and unaware of the unknown? Tortured. Cut. Hurt...Dead? Worse- “No...” She looked up, at the center of the park where a small band had begun setting up. Phay had found him safe and warm, happy even. Basic and ordinary...how lucky for him. “Holy crap girl, is that resentment I hear in your voice?” Phay chuckled to herself the bitterness rising like a sour taste in her mouth.
“Do you always talk to yourself?” Needles ran up her arm as she jumped her eyes darted to the sound of the voice, the shock they held hidden under her baseball cap and hood. She quickly looked away, tipping her cap further to hid her face. It was him...he, how? She couldn't dare herself to steal a glance as he took a seat next to her.
The wooden bench creaked under his weight. A brown bag filled with groceries; he must have just gotten off work. “So...do you like the park?” She didn't response, too distilled in her own insecurities. “Or is it the music? A jazz fan maybe?” Her eyes peeled over to him, even sitting his height was noticeable, she could only see his chest and shoulders...or maybe she was just slouching? “It's quiet.” Like her words just now, she wondered if he'd even heard her. “Heh, yeah I get that. It why I came here at first.” He shifts the bag down between his feet, fingers folding together to rest on his knees as he leans forward slightly.
A sudden rumble from her stomach catches her off guard and she huddles in slightly wrapping her hands around her waist. Turning away, Her face felt as warm as a cherry pie. He chuckled...and she melted slightly. “Are we hungry?” There's a happy hum in his voice as he begins to rummage through his bag. “Here.” Phay turns to see a sandwich in his hand. “They're my favourite but I think I can part with it for tonight.” Staring she took the sandwich, careful not to touch his hand. “Roast beef with mustard and pickles...” She caught his blink of surprise his voice stuttered slightly after that. “Y-yeah, wow you guess that without even taking a bite. Is it safe to assume you are a sandwich master like myself?”
Phay smiled, just a little. Her fingers pressing into the soft plush bread. “Thank you.” Flavors entered her senses and she swallow the lump in her throat. Maybe he hasn't changed.... “So, you gonna tell me why you've been following me the last few days.” Phay froze in mid chew, her sweat ran cold as her fingers locked with fear. His voice hadn't changed, but the amusement it once held was gone but then again there was no anger to be found either. “I...I'm...” How do you start off something like this, the mental scripts she had written seemed blank and her mind filled with her inner contempt. He seemed to catch the hint and smiled.
“Well my name's Orion.” He held out a hand towards her. This time Phay looked up her eyes bright like jades as her gaze went from his eyes to his hand. She stared at it for a moment, a frown; then a mask of a smile. “My name is...” Amelia. “Phay.” Orion beamed shaking her hand. “It's nice to meet you Phay.” She couldn't stifle the bitter chuckle from her mouth. Memories of childish nonsense filled her mind but with the look on his face, it seemed unrequited. “Yeah...nice to meet you too.”
The park clock suddenly chimed in, its hollow bells felt as empty as Phay hand when Orion turned to look at the clock. “Ah geez is that the time? Suri is going to be mad.” He stood up and Phay didn't stop him, her hand falling to her lap. “Sorry to cut this short, It was nice meeting you.” Phay nodded but didn't look up. “Likewise my friend.” Orion picked up his groceries. “So same time tomorrow?” Phay blinked looking up. “What?”
“Same time tomorrow, you'll be here won't you?” Phay looked puzzle. “I'm assuming you want to know more about me?” She lifted an eyebrow at the bold expression. “Why not just tell me now?” Orion gave a small laugh. “Cause I gotta go, besides I'd like to see you again.” She wasn't convinced, standing up she got defensive, it didn't matter who he was, she wasn't up for games. “I wanna know more about you too.” Her feet felt like ice, unable to move a gasp caught behind her teeth. “So I'll see you tomorrow, I'll bring some lunch okay?” Phay shoulders slumped. “Okay...” He gave one more smile before heading home. Phay watched until he was out of sight, till the band that had been playing went home, till there was nothing but the singing of crickets and the fireflies that blinked to the music..
“That's the last thing you wanna know...”
