Personality:
Ripley is as sweet as it gets, trying to be nice to everyone and make everyone smile with her nerdy in-jokes, her goofy demeanor and sunny disposition. An optimist to her core the young woman finds herself always having to remind people that "things will work out" or "it'll be fine!" regardless of just how bad things might be. Her natural inclination to help people has sprung from some semi-recent idolization of Hunters and a drive to be one herself in order to help people. She already has a few key traits down to make her into a good hunter, mixed in with all of her goofiness, she is recklessly selfless and brave, more than willing to run in and help people even at the cost of her own life.
In stark contrast to her want to fight monsters and help people, Ripley can't remember things to save her life. She's naturally forgetful - while intelligent, she can't seem to remember finer details of things to save her life - likely literally in the case of the occupation she is looking to dip her toes into as a monster hunter. Her inherent nerdiness also bleeds into this, as due to the fact she has never seen real combat, she has a very glamorized and unrealistic view on it as far as how things really are, warped by action movies, video games and books - this doesn't help the fact that she is trying to teach herself to be a hunter, versus actually going to the classes that are open to her, thinking she can learn better from books and the field.

History:
Ripley has had a very normal life up until the past couple of years. She was adopted by Bill and Jacob young, and named after their favorite movie protagonist from Aliens. There was nothing truly remarkable about Ripley and her parents living in Florida. Bill was a High School teacher while Jacob was the head chef of a successful local restaurant. They were pretty well off, and Ripley was the apple of both of her fathers eyes, and with her grandmother who moved to live with them when Ripley got a little bit older.
Life was pretty unremarkable. They were a normal, happy family - and it was Jacob who would introduce Ripley to the "nerdy" interests of he and Bill. Video games were a common thing for household bonding, as well as board games, Dungeons and Dragons and watching really bad movies on weekends. Her grandmother never fully understood these things, but Ripley held them close to her heart because it was all of these things that led to her having such a strong bond with her fathers like she did, regardless of tension it might've caused with her more traditional grandmother, who tolerated the families habits only barely due to Bill's relationship with his mother.
Things continued as normal up until, while out for a drive to a school function, Ripley, her fathers, and their grandmother ended up on a road they didn't recognize, and eventually wound up at a house to ask for directions to figure out where they were exactly, instead they learned the reality behind their situation from one of the residents of the house and - despite repeated attempts - realized that the people were not crazy. The supernatural was real, and they were in some kind of limbo. So Ripley and her family tried to make the best of a bad situation, while remaining in the background as best they could.
Eventually they settled in the town, and Ripley got to go to school. Things seemed like they could be looking up, but they wouldn't stay that way. Ripley and her parents got sucked into the attacks on the town, the largest of which that nearly destroyed the town took the lives of both of her parents. Then there was the animals, where she was saved by Andy Sulivan and Sylvia Thresher in the bowling alley, This inspired her. She wanted to help people, much to the annoyance of her grandmother.
Ripley and her grandmother barely got along, but the young woman had a new inspiration in life in addition to her hobbies; seeing the heroism of the people who saved the town, and her family before they died, she wanted to be like them, and has since attempted to teach herself hunting and enrolled in special classes.

Revan let everything Lucy was saying hit her at once, and it felt like the feeling the Angel got when she was still powerful, when someone shot her with a shotgun. She felt terrible, like someone had punched her in the gut, or hit her with a baseball bat. She turned around and her hand went over her mouth, feeling like she was going to throw up. It was better that Lucy was dead than deserving this... No one deserved to be a ghost, the sad, sad existence.
Her throat tightened and tears began to well up, trying a hard as she could to keep from breaking down here on the floor.
She turned to Lucy, seemingly three shades paler, her hair not nearly as vibrant as it seemed to be three years ago, her grey eyes dulled to a shade of black. "Lucy... its 2013..." Revan hadn't been keeping track but she had counted three New Years celebrations since Lucy's death. Her hands went to her face and then back to her sides, her nails digging in to her palms until blood leaked down her fingers. "Three years.. I've counted. Three years I've slept alone in the bed. Three years I've drowned my sorrows I alcohol... Three years with my heart ripped from my chest without you here, Heaven and Earth becoming a living hell to me, leaving me with what options?" Revan wasn't going to lie, she had tried her hand at writing stories like Lucy, but that was the best poetry she could do, even if it was free verse.
Tears were dripping down her cheeks again now, and with the flick of her wrist the TV blinked to life and flicked to the news, where the date would be shown. "Everything I told you... Everything you thought I was crazy over, everything you would joke about... About me being an Angel was not a lie." Revan looked up at her again and then to the floor. "I m-missed you so... s-so much." Revan's legs stopped supporting her then and the pink haired woman fell on the floor, her head tilted down and her face in her hands, sobbing. She knew she shouldn't, but she felt as she did on the day of Lucy's death and funeral. Like all the life had been sucked out of her seeing the person she loved at this fate. But there was a part of Revan that was revived with this, the part of her that she had thought was buried with Lucy... Selfish as it may be to her, Revan was so, so happy Lucy was back.
