Abilities
*Immortality- As a Pagan deity, Ganymede is immortal, and cannot die via disease, aging, or conventional weapons.
*Invulnerability- No conventional weapon can harm Ganymede, as he is impervious to harm as a god.
*Superhuman Strength- Ganymede is far stronger than any human, and many lesser supernatural creatures such as vampires, werewolves, some demons, and others.
*Teleportation- Ganymede is able to teleport at will, disappearing and reappearing somewhere else instantly.
*Telekinesis- Wit a flick of his hand, or concentration on his part, Ganymede is able to throw people and objects around with intense power.
*Lust Invocation- As a god of love and lust, Ganymede is able to induce lust in his victims and worshipers, creating in them a heightened sense of arousal.
*Power/Wish Granting- Like many of his kin, Ganymede is able to grant wishes to his followers or certain worthy individuals, and can bestow power to those in his favor.
Weaknesses
*Holly Stake- Being originally born in the land of Troy, modern day Anatolia, Ganymede has a weakness also born of this area- a stake made of holly wood. This weapon, blessed with the blood of a goat, and divine magics, is able to kill him.
*Ambrosia- Though this sweet liquid made Ganymede immortal, it can also weaken him. If a weapon is dipped in this liquid, and he is stabbed or shot with it, he will lose many of his abilities, and suffer temporary mortality.
*Primordials- Primordial gods/entities such as God, the Darkness, or Archangels are capable of easily destroying Ganymede.
*Other Deities- Gods of greater power, such as the Olympians, are capable of destroying or at least weakening Ganymede. Their weapons may very well be able to destroy him.

Likes (At Least 3):
❤Men- This like is rather obvious, given Ganymede's nature as the God of Homosexuality. He adores men, and while he may associate with women from time to time, he will always choose males first.
❤Other Gods- Ganymede adores his fellow deities, watching and learning from those of his elders. Even if they harm him, he can't help but act on their behalf.
❤Immortals- As Ganymede falls for many men very quickly, he also loses them to time very quickly. Either the Fates kill them, or he outlives them. Thus, those of his immortal lovers with whom he finds himself, are often among his favorites.
❤Hellhounds- Though they are creations of God, Ganymede adores these creatures. And though he cannot control or corral them, he finds them to be tamed when it counts, and can often be found attempting to get their attention if near one.
❤Art- A patron of Greece and all its glory, Ganymede loves the artwork and poetry that came from the nation. Over time, his adoration of it has grown existentially, even going so far as to enthrall him in the sights of artwork in galleries or walk-displays.
❤Fashion- A form of expression in this god's eyes, Ganymede adores the purchasing of expensive clothes, specifically those of Armani and Gucci.
❤Humanity- Being human once himself, Ganymede adores the young mortals around him. While their lives fly by in the blink of an eye, he can't help but seem them try to act boldly, strongly, and eternally.
Dislikes (At Least 3):
✗War- A common distaste among the gods, Ganymede himself abhors its ideology- that to achieve change, war must occur. Throughout time, Ganymede has even fought with Ares and bickered with War himself, in an attempt to prevent some of the greater atrocities in history, including the war between his people and Greece.
✗Demigods- Most often considered the bastard children of the gods, Ganymede finds that he distrusts these beings, as they are often self-motivated, and go out of their way to be disloyal to their parents. That, and he is incapable of birthing them himself...
✗Demons and Angels- The greatest creations of God and Lucifer, these creatures will always upset Ganymede. As many of his kind do, he believes that the Pagans came first, and that God was just an afterthought. Angels and Demons both undermine this claim, as both were around long before him, and can easily overpower him in groups.
Fears (At Least 2):
☬Loss of loved ones- Being immortal, Ganymede fears losing those around him who he loves, as he often outlives them. When mortal lovers die of age or mortal injury, he mourns for years before finding another.
☬Death- Despite being immortal, Ganymede knows that all things end, and he will be one of those things. When Death himself rises and comes forth, he senses that change, and fears that one day, that entity will come for him too.
Goals (At Least 1):
★To ensure peace in the world, and equality for those of his “children”.
Personality: Ganymede is considered the black sheep of his family, the cliche rebellious teen. Most of his 'family' or the other gods, view mortals as weak prey to destroy, while Ganymede sees them as the beings that may one day take their place. Hope, love...these are the things he believes are worth fighting for- something that irritates his family, and often pushes them to reject his ideals and identity. Where all others fight to keep him from doing what he desires, he does all that he can to do get his way. Whether that is literally collapsing buildings that his fellow gods enjoy, defying the rules and doing what he wants instead, or simply ignoring all statements made to him as an act of rebellion. No matter what he may do, he never does this out of cruelty or spite.
By his and others' opinions, he is considered to be one of the kindest among the gods, and while he does sometimes do more harm than good, he does not truly attempt to endanger others. Where he does create chaos or destruction, he attempts to fix his mistake. This often entails deeply rooted apologies, recreating what he destroyed, and enlisting the help of others to rectify what he started. Ironically enough, this is more often than not what happens during his speeches for the LGBT. He says the wrong thing, insults one sect over another...and thus offends a collective. Later, he rectifies this, though it is never overlooked or forgotten, enforcing change in his personality over time.
On the topic of the LGBT, Ganymede is rather protective of this society. He feels it is is his duty to give them a place in the world, and will do anything he can to ensure this. Since the reveal of their community in the 1900s, he has fought to expand the fickle minds of the humans who would oppress their rights. Where his people have been struck down, shot, or abused, he fights back and often obliterates those who harm them. When youths are kicked out of their home, beaten down and fear for their lives...he gives them a home, and makes sure they can live lives of love and joy. Most of his money goes towards the charities for this, even if it is hosted by a Christian church- the more people help, the more respect he gains for those he would otherwise despise.
Traits
✧Kindness and Sincerity- Despite being a god, and often being thought of as bitter and arrogant, Ganymede is exceptionally kind and considerate. He does his best to make others feel loved, cared for, and welcome in his homes, no matter what. He rarely lies, and if he does, he comes clean about it when confronted.
✧Love- His defining quality, Ganymede is known to be among the many gods of love, and is renowned for his capacity for it. He refuses to exclude anyone from his regard for love, even if it is not as a romantic partner. Friends, family, lovers, and...others, are all forms of love that he endorses, and goes out of his way to enjoy.
✧Creativity- Ganymede is said to have inspired his fair share of artists, and he himself is an artist. Many of the sculptures of his form were either made by him, or those who knew him.
Negatives (At Least 3):
✦Lust- As the god of homosexuality, and having been made a god in his youth, Ganymede experiences intense bouts of lust. This makes him prone to foolish decisions, and easily manipulated.
✦Gullibility- Even being ancient and powerful, Ganymede is often too easily distracted or fooled, his mind swayed quite swiftly.
✦Possessiveness- For all of his partners, Ganymede is known to be quite possessive. He likes men to be loyal to him, and will often try to keep hold of them. However, this does not always mean he will do them or others harm out of jealousy.

Parents: Tros of Dardania (Father) - Calirrhoe, daughter of Scamander (Mother)
Siblings: Ilus and Assaracus
Other Family: Greek Gods of Olympus (Divine 'Relatives' and Lovers)
Important Others: Zeus (First Lover / Consort), Eros (Other Lover / Consort), Hebe (Predecessor)
History: Little is known about the history of the god Ganymede, and even less about what became upon reaching Olympus. It is said that millennia ago, the founder and king of Troy- Tros of Dardania, married the beautiful Callirrhoe- the daughter of the river deity Scamander. The two birthed four children- three sons, and a daughter. Among these children, was Ganymede, who was said to be the most beautiful and seductive of the three males. He was raised alongside his siblings as royalty, yet more caring for the lower folk and their tasks.
According to legend, Ganymede had taken to tending sheep on Mount Ida, some day in his adolescent years. It was then that Zeus, the King of Olympus, flew down to the boy. He had watched him for some time, admiring him from afar before making his choice. Upon arriving, he claimed the boy for his own, and transported him to Olympus as an eagle. Two events quickly followed- Tros was plied with horses as a sort of payment for Ganymede, horses that were said to be ridden by the gods themselves. Then, Ganymede was given ambrosia- the drink of the gods, and thus made immortal.
His father blessed him, happy that his son would live on as his immortal heir, albeit of a much higher stature. From this point onwards, Ganymede became the replacement, the supplicant, to the goddess Hebe- the wife of Heracles. As her successor, he took the role of Cupbearer to the Olympians, pouring their wine and ambrosia, and making love to Zeus- a fact that drew Hera's spite. Centuries later, he was left by Zeus, who took on many other lovers. This prompted Eros, the god of lust and love, to take him as his lover, claiming the boy for his own.
Over the course of time, Ganymede gained the title and power of the God of Homosexuality, Love, and Desire- making him one of the many lesser gods of romance. As such, he gained the right to his own place on Olympus, while taking many a mortal lover. None of the names of his mortal consorts are known, but it is said that they were of varying status, all of whom having worshiped him in some capacity.
In the modern era however, Ganymede has been forced to abandon his old ways, and take on the role of a model and spokesperson for the LGBT. He spent many of his earlier days in the occupation trying out new outfits, and making many of his own, while beguiling his employers. When on the streets, protesting indifference or marching with his followers, he often radiates a presence of pride and power, refusing to back down even in the worst of circumstances...

Experience: I have over 4 years of roleplay experience, from Facebook, to Google+, to sites like Mythic Reign, but not a lot of Proboard experience, if any.

RP Sample: A gasp- so loud and so simple that even the most base of creatures could hear and understand its meaning. A gasp that spoke volumes, as its producer rose from the oaken slabs of his elaborate coffin, and glanced around at his environment. "Where am I?" Was only the first question to come from the ancient's mind as he arose- the first of many. He glanced around the room, awe in his eyes. The room within which he stood, was one marble and wood, polished and shined from end to end, corner to corner, and head to head. Whoever cared for this place, had known well enough how he liked it.
Another gasp was elicited from his lips as he realized something else- his throat was as dry as dust on a chandelier. He hadn't fed in...however long it had been, and right now, he could use a drink. So he stepped from his ancient, polished coffin, and wandered towards the large ivory doors before him. Without daring to hesitate, or even caution himself against such a decision, he flung them open...and flooded the room with sunlight so bright that it would blind any man...
