Personality:
The best way to describe Aethelind is... a bit off. She hasn't seen a whole lot of social interaction in her life, and it shows. On the rare occasion that she gets to talk to anyone but Sunny, she tends to be more than a bit 'spacey'. She'll often zone out, thinking of something else in the middle of her current objective unless someone snaps her back to attention. She also has the habit of talking to herself a lot, without thinking about it. Simply a habit she has picked up from a long life of isolation. Another strange habit of hers is a tendency to "personify" objects, often naming inanimate objects and, on occasion, having one-sided conversations with them. These strange habits of hers are all direct results of her appearance leading her to spend her life in hiding away from the public eye.
Aethe absolutely adores stylish clothing. One of the main things she focused on in her isolation was reading through clothing catalogs she would pull from the trash, flipping through them and imagining herself wearing them, and she wishes nothing more than to have a few nice dresses, even if wearing them is questionable at best even in the best case scenario. She also greatly enjoys playing with make up, and can apply it rather well for someone who has barely, if ever, stepped out into the public. She puts a lot of effort into finding ways to try to slip out into human society, even if it has to be at night when no one is around to really get a look at her.
Although her isolation shows heavily to most people - the break in this rule comes with one Sunny Smiles. Sunny appears to be the only person to be able to get her to really focus - mainly because Aethe focuses on her. Heavily. To say she's infatuated with the woman might be a bit of an understatement, and the odd physical relationship they've developed hasn't deterred this in the slightest.

History:
Aethelind couldn't tell you where she came from, who her parents were, or why she was abandoned - simply because the Gorgon never remembered any of those things. She was raised in uncertainty, and had to fend for herself. Despite this, and her... odd appearance, Aethelind has kept up a startlingly positive outlook on life. She moved a number of times in her life, living in the outskirts of society of the southern US. Often she would take up residence deep within forests, swamps or buildings where no one ever went as interactions with humans rarely ever went well, although she didn't blame them for such. The Gorgon lived most of her life isolated, living off of animals - her interactions with other living beings usually being in the form of unfortunate urban explorers who would run away from her... or turn to stone, or hunters who came in search of reports of a strange snake creature, which she would flee from.
Aethelind never intended to hurt anyone, she believed herself to be something of a pacifist and, truthfully, wanted to spend most of her time just reading through fashion magazines she managed to scrounge up, spending most of her quiet life alone thinking up day dreams of being somewhere else, someone else, in those expensive clothes. The magazines and books she found managed to bring a lot of joy to her, which is why it was a bit of a tragedy that a hunter managed to sneak up on her while reading through those with a special weapon enchanted by a witch, slashing it across the Gorgons eyes. This enchanted blade disabled her regeneration, and her petrifying gaze. And though Aethe had never intentionally hurt anyone before - that hunter did not walk away from the encounter, and, ashamed, the Gorgon fled elsewhere. Luckly not fully blind thanks to the snakes that connected to her skull. She fled, this time further away from society and into the deepest part of the Louisana bayou, where she took up residence in an abandoned homestead.
The hunters followed, but this time they were not looking for her. A group came searching, for a Fenrir. The Gorgon happened to be caught in the crossfire, watching as the humans brawled with the creature from a hiding place they had chased her to, up until there was a single woman left. Shrugging off the fear she had, she charged into the fray and fought off the Fenrir. Despite the hunter coming after her, she didn't want them to die. Aethelind managed to chase the creature off, and then assist with the woman named Sunnys injuries. She was the first person Aethelind ever properly spoke to and, honestly, the snake woman was a bit fascinated by her. Her personality, her skill, her looks and - perhaps most of all, her odd black blood that tasted funny. She was too injured to move for a time, so Aethelind took care of her. It was... uncomfortable, for a while. Her own blood didn't work on her, so it was a slower process in caring for her in a rougher situation, but Aethelind was competent enough to care for her, supplying food, water and comfort.
It was in this extended period of time with Sunny that Aethelind began to warm up to her greatly. Hearing about her life, and the world that the Gorgon had been mostly disconnected from due to how she looked. The hunter seemed to look past her appearance enough to get to know her as a person.... among other things, providing whole other experience for Aethelind that she had neither experienced, nor thought about before. And after Sunny was healed up and prepared to leave, the Gorgon requested to come with her. Sunny, of course, realized this would be a challenge but was fond enough of the Gorgon to try, letting her ride in her trunk while finding ways to conceal her appearance at least a bit - including a wig and a series of long coats. It's not a perfect solution, but it works.

Revan let everything Lucy was saying hit her at once, and it felt like the feeling the Angel got when she was still powerful, when someone shot her with a shotgun. She felt terrible, like someone had punched her in the gut, or hit her with a baseball bat. She turned around and her hand went over her mouth, feeling like she was going to throw up. It was better that Lucy was dead than deserving this... No one deserved to be a ghost, the sad, sad existence.
Her throat tightened and tears began to well up, trying a hard as she could to keep from breaking down here on the floor.
She turned to Lucy, seemingly three shades paler, her hair not nearly as vibrant as it seemed to be three years ago, her grey eyes dulled to a shade of black. "Lucy... its 2013..." Revan hadn't been keeping track but she had counted three New Years celebrations since Lucy's death. Her hands went to her face and then back to her sides, her nails digging in to her palms until blood leaked down her fingers. "Three years.. I've counted. Three years I've slept alone in the bed. Three years I've drowned my sorrows I alcohol... Three years with my heart ripped from my chest without you here, Heaven and Earth becoming a living hell to me, leaving me with what options?" Revan wasn't going to lie, she had tried her hand at writing stories like Lucy, but that was the best poetry she could do, even if it was free verse.
Tears were dripping down her cheeks again now, and with the flick of her wrist the TV blinked to life and flicked to the news, where the date would be shown. "Everything I told you... Everything you thought I was crazy over, everything you would joke about... About me being an Angel was not a lie." Revan looked up at her again and then to the floor. "I m-missed you so... s-so much." Revan's legs stopped supporting her then and the pink haired woman fell on the floor, her head tilted down and her face in her hands, sobbing. She knew she shouldn't, but she felt as she did on the day of Lucy's death and funeral. Like all the life had been sucked out of her seeing the person she loved at this fate. But there was a part of Revan that was revived with this, the part of her that she had thought was buried with Lucy... Selfish as it may be to her, Revan was so, so happy Lucy was back.
