Personality:
Aella is a no-nonsense who masks a number of insecurities behind a tough facade that she keeps up as an attempt to make the pack feel safe and protected. She make a concentrated effort to help where she's needed and keep her hands busy in one way or the other - and even though she trusts a few of the pack members as far as she can throw them - ine at least one such case she's actually tried throwing them - she puts up with their bullshit and will come up to the bat for them regardless, with or without Lux's command. While she has the groups best intentions in mind; she is known to be a bit ill-tempered towards the petty bullshit that often comes up from the likes of Danny or Vanessa, and often needs Lux or Jedrek to step in to remind her not to fly off the handle. Truthfully, while she tolerates the troublemakers because she's told to, she'd have them gone in a second if she was running the show - not that she ever intends to. She's confident and content with Lux's leadership, and feels he has his head and heart in the right place when he runs things. For the most part.
Her leadership skills don't show much outside of fighting on the packs behalf, where she's probably the best person to have on hand for when shit hits the fan, dishing out advice to Lux and quick orders to nearby members in true military fashion before she takes up the front line with the likes of Jedrek to make whoever is encroaching on them with intent to do harm pay for every damn step. Other than that - she usually doesn't take the initiative to make decisions that would direct the pack in any given direction and leaves those to Lux. He's the boss, after all.
Given the fact that she is already dead and has a soldiers heart - Aella will throw herself into the line of fire for a friend at a moments notice. Bullets just sting a little, and its nothing she hasn't taken before. And although she likes the chance to use her powerful abilities that she has spent a decade mastering, trying to have a healthy social life within and out of the pack has been a bit rough due to the nature of her abilities.

History:
Aella was born into a devoutly religious military family, and while she took to the military lifestyle well - it became readily apparent from a young age that her mind was occupied with basically anything but God's good graces. Far more interested in practical things and childish habits as opposed to the church sessions she was forced to go to every weekend. But the catch about the family she lived in was a hell of a secret that decades of learning to balance two lives had even so much as made possible - they were all Skinwalkers. Hell, her mother even spent time serving as a Army K9 Unit, with her father functioning as her handler in the field.
It was a strange situation, but it was all Aella really knew in life - and she knew she wasn't to tell anyone the truth behind the common family camping trips, or the late night excursions to hunt. It was just... a life. And Aella was a bit more interested in the aforementioned hunting than anything else.
They never really had issues with hunters - no one really expected a military man and his family to be creatures of any kind, and they specifically only hunted animals outside of the military base at night. And besides all of that, Aella's life was... rather unimpressive. Keep the secret, tolerate church, made great grades in school, and she moved around a lot due to her parents occupation - living everywhere from Germany to Korea to Hawaii by the time she was sixteen years old, and even more than just those. It did contribute a bit to her lacking slightly in connections as a child, but that never really bothered her so long as she had an open space to occupy herself with, even if as time went by her parents frustrations with their daughters clear lack of religious fervor began to show more and more. It subsided a bit, at the very least, when she joined the Army.
Aella, having already had protocol and workouts drilled into her by her father from a young age, took to the soldiers life well - so well, in fact, that she was shooting high at the time. She didn't just want to sit behind a office desk, play field medic or work from a camp - she wanted to be the first woman to done the Army Rangers patch right and proper. She wanted to be on the top of the heap. Sure enough, she had her work cut out for her but - in her eyes at least - if anyone could do it, she could.
And hell, she almost did.
She qualified - and she didn't just qualify, she did far better in the training than most of her male peers. Gunplay, protocol, tactical knowledge and leadership skills, she could match up with the best of the best and - truthfully - her parents couldn't have been prouder.
But, as things so often do, things fell apart from one simple thing.
Don't Ask, Don't Tell.
Aella had spent most of her life in the closet - quiet about being bisexual, and during her time qualifying for the Ranger academy she had taken to one of the woman working on-hand as a nurse named Jamie. She and Jamie dated in secret, but at some point it got out and her male peers who had decided they didn't want to be shown up by "some bitch" anymore, took it right to her commander. Jamie's name wasn't given, but Aella's was. When she was confronted about it, she told the truth, but didn't give Jamie's name. She didn't want to destroy her career over this too.
Aella was discharged from the Army and disqualified from qualifying as the first female Army Rangers. Her family didn't take it well. At both the revelation that their daughter was bisexual and the fact that she'd been kicked out of the military from it - they violently ejected Aella from their life and put her out to dry as it were, cutting contact entirely. Things were... rough for a bit. So Aella took what funds she had and decided to travel with them, a sizable amount sitting in her bank account that had accumulated through her training. All the training in the world, however, couldn't save her from dying.
Wrong place, wrong time. At least it was quick.
A hunter was chasing down a teenager named Jedreck through an abandoned building she was passing through in her canine form, for reasons Aella didn't know at the time. All she saw was an armed pursuer going after a kid who looked worse for wear. Military training kicked in, and Aella laid into the hunted, disarming them of one gun in her skinwalker form, then quickly reverting back, grabbing the gun and turning to fire. The hunter had drawn another handgun and when both of them had aim on one another, they fired at the exact same time.
Aella took a silver bullet to the heart and fell through a plywood wall and down a stairwell. She fell six floors, shifting into a dog on the way down, slammed into railings on the way down, and remembers every second of it until a sickening crack on the bottom concrete floor where things finally go out in a harsh cutoff.
She died protecting people. As far as she was concerned - that was a soldiers duty.
Only she didn't die.
A moment later, she took in a sharp intake of breath and her entire body was seizing. The bullet popped out and she could hear, throughout the building, more hunters. Jedreck was running down the stairs to check on his savior and saw this strange woman twitching on the floor, before she started a grotesque transformation. The canine form that she'd previously taken's eyes began to glow. Something happened that... shouldn't have. Green smoke billowed out of her nose and mouth and she... stood up.
And then in a fit of scared, violent rage brutally murdered every single hunter in that building.
Their blood was enough to pull her out of it, and by the end of her feral rage, when she turned back to look at the kid that they had been chasing - in his place was a massive wolf. Both of them terrified and confused about what the hell had just happened - they fled, running for hours to get away from the scene, stealing some clothes along the way. And all the while Aella's canine form began losing patches of hair, skin... it wasn't a pretty sight.
When they finally arrived somewhere safe and changed back, then got dressed, Aella was effectively catatonic for days following once the adrenaline wore off. She'd just gone through something incredibly traumatic and she didn't know how to process it. She was like this for a long time, just sitting in an old chair with a blank look on her face until she finally started to come to a bit. Jedrek, in this time, had taken care of her and the two of them started to get along rather well, even though the freshly undead woman was still coming to terms with what the hell she had just experienced and wasn't exactly... alright in the head. For the time being, Jedrek handled hunting and finding things for them while they tucked away in an abandoned house. And one day, he came back with friends.
A man named Lux and his friends Lyra and Rylan. Aella was a bit fishy of them at first - given what they'd just dealt with - but once it was revealed they were dealing with other skinwalkers she loosened up a bit, and actually grew to like the strange trio quite a lot. So much so that when construction crews showed up to fuck up the house they were squatting in, Aella and Jedrek headed out with them.
Aella took to a pack that cared for its members rather well, and she found plenty of use in her military experience and new abilities once she got the hang of them among the group. Lux let more people in over time, most of them Aella had no issue with - others... she did. But she didn't plan on stepping on the toes of the pack leader, or anyone else, unless she absolutely had to. And she wouldn't hesitate to bust some heads if Lux asked. She became a bit hesitant to use her Skinwalker form unless she absolutely had to due to it disturbing a lot of the other members.
With what money she had left, which was still no small amount to scoff at, in the interest of keeping the pack safe, Aella invested in quite a bit of military surplus that she keeps on hand in a crate she lugged around from place to place before they settled down, including an automatic rifle, a few crates of ammunition, full body armor and some extra guns she picked up along the way in case she or the rest of the pack need to arm up. Old habits die hard. Even when you yourself have died.

Revan let everything Lucy was saying hit her at once, and it felt like the feeling the Angel got when she was still powerful, when someone shot her with a shotgun. She felt terrible, like someone had punched her in the gut, or hit her with a baseball bat. She turned around and her hand went over her mouth, feeling like she was going to throw up. It was better that Lucy was dead than deserving this... No one deserved to be a ghost, the sad, sad existence.
Her throat tightened and tears began to well up, trying a hard as she could to keep from breaking down here on the floor.
She turned to Lucy, seemingly three shades paler, her hair not nearly as vibrant as it seemed to be three years ago, her grey eyes dulled to a shade of black. "Lucy... its 2013..." Revan hadn't been keeping track but she had counted three New Years celebrations since Lucy's death. Her hands went to her face and then back to her sides, her nails digging in to her palms until blood leaked down her fingers. "Three years.. I've counted. Three years I've slept alone in the bed. Three years I've drowned my sorrows I alcohol... Three years with my heart ripped from my chest without you here, Heaven and Earth becoming a living hell to me, leaving me with what options?" Revan wasn't going to lie, she had tried her hand at writing stories like Lucy, but that was the best poetry she could do, even if it was free verse.
Tears were dripping down her cheeks again now, and with the flick of her wrist the TV blinked to life and flicked to the news, where the date would be shown. "Everything I told you... Everything you thought I was crazy over, everything you would joke about... About me being an Angel was not a lie." Revan looked up at her again and then to the floor. "I m-missed you so... s-so much." Revan's legs stopped supporting her then and the pink haired woman fell on the floor, her head tilted down and her face in her hands, sobbing. She knew she shouldn't, but she felt as she did on the day of Lucy's death and funeral. Like all the life had been sucked out of her seeing the person she loved at this fate. But there was a part of Revan that was revived with this, the part of her that she had thought was buried with Lucy... Selfish as it may be to her, Revan was so, so happy Lucy was back.
