I try not to think too much into it until I have the words memorized, but even then, sometimes, with Queensryche, it's better not to ask. Unless it's Operation: Mindcrime, in which case, you should know the plotline better than the back of your stinkin' hand. Oh, Nikki. Why'd you go and make your life a mess? *someone sings An Intentional Confrontation in the background* ... Aha, I hate Operation: Mindcrime II. A couple decent songs. Altogether, though? Noooope. Does not live up to the first at all.
