Full Name: Sydnee Cole
Nickname/Alias:
Age/Date Of Birth: 1st February, 1985
Race: Skinwalker, Belgian Malinois
Occupation: Police, Search and Rescue K-9 division
Species Group: Skinwalker
Play-By: Tasya Teles
Abilities
Shape-shifting - Like Werewolves, Skinwalkers possess the ability to transform into canines. Unlike werewolves, however, skinwalkers transform completely into an animal rather than a hybrid man/wolf creature. Skinwalkers can change from their human to animal forms anytime without a full moon.
Infectious bite - Like Werewolves, Skinwalkers possess a poisonous bite; if someone is bitten by a Skinwalker, he or she will also become a Skinwalker.
Enhanced Sense of Smell - They can smell far better than humans, in either form. Using this ability, they can tell if they are being followed or if someone is in the vicinity, within an approximate range of 100 yards or more. They possess this ability even in the human form.
Super-hearing - A skinwalker's hearing is better then humans, like a dog's.
Accelerated Healing - They appear to be able to heal themselves much faster than humans.
Enhanced Strength - Their strength seems to be greater than the average human's, as in its dog form it was able to kill humans. Their strength appears to increase with rank (much like vampires), as the Pack Leader is able to beat lower ranks around with no difficulties. It seems that it's only in their canine form that they possess their strength.
Super Speed - Skinwalkers, in their animal form, can run and move faster than humans.
Invulnerability - Like many other shapeshifters, Skinwalkers can only be killed by silver bullets to the heart or head. They can, however, be injured.

Personality: Sydnee is one of those types of people who are hard to get along with until they either get used to her behaviour or downright ignores her. She doesn't care if people hate her or not. All that matters is what Tobin thinks. She isn't afraid to speak her mind and can be bratty if things don't go her own way. She is also the type a friend has to warn others about. Even in dog form, her personality doesn't change much. The only difference is the lack of ability to talk. She tends to be more careful as a canine as she doesn't want to turn anyone else into what she is. Sydnee likes to try to take charge and go straight into a situation without thinking. Normally it is her life long friend that pulls her out of a tight spot or is able to prevent a situation happening. At work though she takes her job seriously, even if the police only know her as a dog and not a person. It is hard for her to make friends, obviously but when she has one, she is loyal to them for life. Only those in her closest circle can see she does crave some interaction but never knows how to show it. If she likes someone, she is a pain in the arse. If she hates someone, she is a pain in the arse. Good luck figuring it out.

History: Sydnee had a decent childhood growing up with same sex parents. She never really had any friends at primary school though due to her behaviour with others. Sometimes she could have been a little troublemaker causing trouble and other times just be sitting alone quietly reading a book or an attempt at study. Her resting bitch face was always on. During year 7 she had made her first real friend, Tobin McCray. On the first day of class they sat beside each other with all the other seats filled up. Having most classes together, they became firm friends after that. One class they really got competitive with each other was gym. Always tried to outdo the other. Through out high school they were always together and causing trouble for students and teachers. Pranking everyone they could regardless of who they were. She was never popular and had a reputation of losing her temper one too many times but Sydnee didn't care. She thought the different types, like jocks, cheerleaders etc, were overdone. All that mattered to her was Tobin's friendship.
Finally high school was over and she had graduated, surprisingly. Her grades had not been told range but they weren't all D's. It wasn't her fault her attention span wandered in every class but gym. The teachers could have made them more exciting at least but a pass was a pass. With the long grueling years finally over, she wanted to get out and explore. The furthest being the gun range and then back to bed while the moon was still up. Of course she spent that time off glued to Tobin's hip. Wherever he went she went and vice versa.
Fascinated with law and order, she wanted to join the police force but wasn't sure on what area. Tobin made that decision for her. During their time off any education he had wanted to sign up with the K9 Search and Rescue squad, so naturally she followed him, like a lost puppy. Before they started, they had moved into an apartment together close to the school so that way they would get there easily and wouldn't have to actually stay there on campus. Of course during that training time in the academy, she tried to outdo him every time.
On a weekend night they had gone down to the amusement park just to take a break from their studies. Sydnee dragged him over to the little shooting range where you shoot tin ducks with a bad shotgun. She won of course. Tobin might deny it but she new the truth. Shortly after she saw a dog that was just missing from its owner. She had hurried off ahead of her friend to give it a pat to try to calm it down since it looked scared, which was a con job. It had instantly bit her arm as she had knelt down. Sydnee had not thought to be more cautious around a strange dog, considering she was going to be working with them. It had run off by the time Tobin got there.
She just had the bite bandaged as the animal had drawn blood and didn't think much of it after that. During an cross country training, she ignored the itching and was trying to out run Tobin like normal. When it came to crossing a river she had instantly put on the breaks, refusing to go any further. By then everyone else had overtaken them at her stopping. It was one of those unfounded fears she had since a kid, used to believe people could get sucked down the bath drain. He had tried to drag her to the water by the hand with her trying to dig her heels into the dirt. Suddenly then she changed before his eyes into a dog and went bolting off. Following her tracks, which changed from dog to human again she was huddled behind a rock, naked and freaked out at what had happened.
Unable to believe what had happened, she had dropped out of the police academy and locked herself in her room, always shouting at Tobin to stay away from her. It took some time but with their stubbornness she had learned control of the transformations. Now she joined the K9 Unit as an actual canine. Tobin had insisted that he be the handler seeing on how she is "better behaved" with him and trouble for the others. She still hated the water but she forced herself to go through with it, plus food bribes helped. Even still she won't go in any water unless she had no choice.

RP Sample: "Don't do that." called out over the top of her computer without even looking at a teen trying to dog ear a page in a library book. To her that was sacrilege. Tamara looked over the top of the monitor staring at the teen coldly until he merely shut the book and pushed it aside. Nothing was more sinful than a damaged book. She was angry before, but that just added to it. It had been more than a week since she heard from Matt. She was mad and worried that he had not called. It was not the first time he had gone more than a month without making contact. Either it was for her protection, or he just forget, she still couldn't help but worry. Worried that the next news report was of his body being found, or locked in prison for protecting someone.
Finally it was closing time. Tamara just locked the doors when someone grabbed her from behind. Gasping in fear, she spun around, trying to go for the mace in her bag when she saw it was one of Matt's hunter friends and shut her eyes, putting a hand over her racing heart. "Wear a bell next time." she said, looking up at him calming down now.
"And give up on these nights? I don't think so." Rick said with a smirk.
She lightly slapped his chest, pulling the strap up higher on her shoulder. "Got plenty of left overs, just needs to be reheated." With a grin, Rick walked Tamara to his car. He stopped by every couple of weeks for home cooking, otherwise it would be nothing but noodles and take out, which littered the floor of his car. "Still living clean I see." she said arching a brow as she lifted an empty burger wrapper and threw it over to the back seats.
"You know if I clean, you'd have nothing to complain about." he said with a cheeky grin. She scoffed, climbing into the car. "No wonder you and Matt get along so well." The smile slowly drained from her face. "Has there been any word?"
Rick had to look at the road as he pulled out from the side and started driving. He heard nothing from Matt either. "No. Not a word or peep. I'm sure he had lost his phone or been busy and lost track of time. " They were close friends, even been on a few hunts together when they came up against something more than one alone could handle.
She looked out the side window, lightly chewing on her thumbnail in worry, trying not to let her imagination get the better of her. Tamara was sure Matt was safe, just being his usual forgetting to call self. When he came home, he was going to be grounded until he turned forty.
