Info So Far: He spent most of his life being the odd duck out in a crowd, being an outcast in school. Raised by a single mom who'd had him when she was a teen, many liked to gossip that his wierdness came from having such a young "incompetent" mother and no male figure in his life. But that was just the gossip of old church going women who disliked everything about his small family. Miguel's life was great, as far as he was concerned. He gained a love of art through his mother, who was an artist in her own rights. They would spend many a day doing a variety of arts and crafts, and she fully encouraged him to hone his talent. He fell in love with comics due to one day wanting to make his own, so he spent hours reading them and studying the art. As he grew, he found himself turning to his art and comics to hide from the bullies at school and the general loneliness he experienced. Teenage mutant ninja turtles was always his absolute favorite series, and he got a tattoo on his shoulder of Michelangelo (courtesy of Micah as his first professional tattoo).
Miguel has avoided umbrellas with a passion for some unknown reason most of is life, having a strange fear that somehow one of them will be his undoing in a storm because of the 'possibility of lightning striking', despite the many reassurances that such a thing won't happen. It really stems from a combination of a deep fear of lightning, the idea of being electrocuted to death, and the knowledge that metal attracts lightning. That's not the only weird aspect about him though, as he's also an avid collector of stamps. An old man hobby made pretty impossible now since Zeppelin has a serious lack of stamps. In one minute he had collected all the stamps to be had. Not too mention he lost the rest of his collection when he got stuck here.
Miguel isn't one for sitting still or doing nothing for very long, so the longer he has to be stuck in such a situation, the more likely he is to start bouncing on the balls of his feet in restless agitation. Miguel also tends to be rather quick tempered, and is prone to running his mouth at the wrong time and to the wrong people. As such, he's gotten into his fair share of fights growing up, and spent many an afternoon in school in detention. His mother was no stranger to calls from the school office. He'd rather be out doing some crazy stunt to get his adrenaline going versus sitting around on his thumbs, pretending he's sorry for things he said. One of his favorite things to say is "I don't know, honey" when he wants to be a smart-ass to people. He and his mother ended up in Zeppelin one day when he was midway through grade 10, and it was hard to adjust to the freaky new area. But he met a teen his age named Micah in school, and the two became fast friends. The friendship helped him settle into life in Zeppelin City, and they were notorious with the bullshit they did together. His poor mother and the calls she would get.
Fast forward to the present, and he's still good friends with Micah. Even though he works a dead end job at the local gas station, he has aspirations to make his mark with his art. He doesn't show it that often, but he does what he can to support his mother, as she always stood by him (despite his bullshit antics) and had always been a primary advocate in his life. He doesn't tolerate anyone who messes with those he calls family, and he'll fight to keep them safe. Even if he kinda sucks at fighting. While he'll normally be rather outspoken on how he feels about things, there are some that he'll keep on the down low.
