Dislikes (At Least 3): ✗ People ✗ Loud noises ✗ Being sober
Fears (At Least 2): ☬ Losing her mind ☬ Being cut off from the bottle
Goals (At Least 1): ★ Just to get drunk each day until she eventually dies.
Personality: Diya used to be a somewhat out going person, when her girlfriend dragged her out of the farmhouse to go engage with other people. She did it grudgingly but did it to make her happy. Before the death, she was tolerable to other people, actually making some effort to talk to others. But now she keeps to herself, preferring the bottle over people. If someone buys her a bottle of the strong shit, she will engage, until the bottle is empty. Will either sleep with the person in thanks or just grunt in thanks and leave.
Positives (At Least 3): ✧ Good marksman when sober ✧ Decent rider ✧ Friendly to those she is close with
Parents: Margret Holloway (mother), Arjun Hollway (father) Siblings: Other Family: Important Others: Janet Smith (skinwalker lover, deceased) History: In her 20s, Diya worked out in a horse ranch working full time caring for the animals, feeding, training, mucking etc. She enjoyed her work there prefering animals over people. She pretty muched lived at the ranch to, lifting in a small granny flat on the property behind the stables. So if there was anything wrong Diya could get there quickly. She didn't have much interaction with the bosses, which she preferred. Other stablehands did that. A few days a week she would go to one of the open fields to pratice archery with a crudely made human dummy made from straw. She used a compound bow, the only decent thing she owned as a gift from her parents. It was there, one night, she met her girlfriend, in a way. A wounded dog limped over to her, a bullet in it's torso. Abandoning archery, she went to the dog and called an oncall vet. After a silver bullet was removed she cared for the animal, eventually adopting her.
Wherever Diya went, the dog followed. And in private, the human ranted her daily bitching to the bitch. Some days though when she left the dog at the granny flat and came home she noticed food was going faster, her tolietries were running out faster. She started to think one of the new stable hands had been helping themselves to her things, so of course she ranted that to the dog saying she was going to murder. She was all talk though. One day she had come home to find a woman in her bed wearing her clothing. Demanding who the woman was, the woman said she was Diya's dog. Striping she changed into dog form and back to human form. Of course Diya thought she was hallucinating first. She yelled at the animorph to get the frak out. Dog lady said she had nowhere else to go with her pack/family dead. Of course Diya kicked her out anyway too freaked out to feel any bit of sympathy for her story. The next day she saw the dog again sleeping in one of the stable stalls. Of course she threatened to kill the mutt lady but the skinwalker didnt't believe her since she was all talk and no action. Diya eventually stopped trying to shoo away the freak, she grudgingly helped her out.
Eventually they started to become friends. Janet, she finally shared her name, stayed in dog form in public but in private she stayed human. Diya would never admit it but she was grateful for the company. A cot had been put into the granny flat for Janet to sleep in but eventually they shared the bed. And eventually Janet got a job even though Diya said she didn't have to, that she'll be the bread winner. Janet wanted a job to buy a gift for her girlfriend. She worked for years doing cash in hand jobs until she finally had enough. The skinwalkers surprised Diya with a colt. A three year old friesian andalusian cross breed.
In the past Diya did have a drinking problem but she had worked through it, Janet being the final push to never touch it again. They had dated for six years now when Janet was killed by a rogue hunter. Police had found the body. Someone knew her from a off the record job. Diya was called to identify the body. After that she hit the bottle hard. Now she went to work drunk, but managed to hide it most days. The farmhands that worked with her did their best to cover her.
After Janet's death she couldn't bear to look at the horse since they had both ridden the stallion but she couldn't bear to sell him either. During the rare occasions she was sober, twice a month, was when she took him out riding, otherwise Leslie was the only one she trusted to look after Andy, the horse. She had worked with Leslie Attwater for a few years now. Strangely she trusts him. Now with her being a drunk, he somewhat takes care of her. Gives her water instead of vodka, makes sure the bosses don't see her drunk, makes sure she doesn't choke on her own vomit.
Alias: Tamara/Singingdoughnut How did you find us?: Magical orb Experience: I dunno Other Characters: Richard Calhoun, Tina Dukes, Sydnee Cole, Misty Bales, Tamara Young, Raven Reuven RP Sample: "Don't do that." called out over the top of her computer without even looking at a teen trying to dog ear a page in a library book. To her that was sacrilege. Tamara looked over the top of the monitor staring at the teen coldly until he merely shut the book and pushed it aside. Nothing was more sinful than a damaged book. She was angry before, but that just added to it. It had been more than a week since she heard from Matt. She was mad and worried that he had not called. It was not the first time he had gone more than a month without making contact. Either it was for her protection, or he just forget, she still couldn't help but worry. Worried that the next news report was of his body being found, or locked in prison for protecting someone
Finally it was closing time. Tamara just locked the doors when someone grabbed her from behind. Gasping in fear, she spun around, trying to go for the mace in her bag when she saw it was one of Matt's hunter friends and shut her eyes, putting a hand over her racing heart. "Wear a bell next time." she said, looking up at him calming down now.
I (Diya Holloway) have read the site rules and understand them. The code word for the rules is: (Batman sucks)
