I'm not much of a hunter myself, but when I heard about this case where people were being lured into the woods and then getting killed? It felt right to try to help, since I know those woods more than most people as far as I know. So I went to the police station to get the information; there were two hunters when I got there, Amaya and Willow, and we got the information and files from one of the officers. I think his name was... Landon? He told us about how three people had gone missing after they said they were talking to dead people, their loved ones supposedly who were asking them to meet them in the woods. All three of them went through the same according to the witnesses, and then turned up dead.
And so we went to talk to a girl named Lily, she was the girlfriend of one of the victims, Carl Tatcher. She wasn't comfortable with the fact that we were asking questions and since she got a little pushed by one of the hunters, she ended up leaving without giving us much information. But with what we had already, Amaya and I decided to go research and try to find options to know what this thing could be while Willow decided to go talk to a second witness.
Amaya ended up finding information about Crocottas, creatures that live in the woods and lure people in by mimicking the voices of their loved ones, telling them to "come to them", which matched the reports. We found out that the way to kill them was to damage the spinal cord, and we decided to try to decapitate it to make sure it would work. Willow informed us that she talked to Mrs. Duncan a couple of days later, but she didn't get much information other than the fact that she believes that there was nothing wrong with how her husband had been talking to the dead before disappearing and dying. With all this information, we finally went out to get the monster.
We met at the house, right outside of it and close to the woods, but I had to go find my gear while Amaya and Willow did and by the time I got back, they were gone. I couldn't find them in time and got lost in the woods, so I went back to the house to wait and stayed there until they both came back after successfully killing the crocotta. They weren't harmed, at least not that I could see, so this is when I headed here to the station to make my report and inform that the monster was dead and that its body was left in the woods.
