Will haunt in spite of how I’ve tried.
To let this lie.
And leave the past behind.
But the past will never go.
For the things we never show.
For what we can not atone.
I feel fucked up!
Lookin' for a feeling that I can't remember.
Head down!
Hands up!
Going hard, I never learned how to surrender.
And we’ve done so wrong, My God.
But is it better to be good or just a great pretender?

Personality:
Evaline is a bit of a mystery even to people who know her. She had a tendency to keep a lot of her emotions in, and tries not to give too much away in fear of what people would think if they really got to know her - but at her core, she is an incredibly genuine person, who is rather confident in herself and her thoughts towards other people, but at the same time conflicted on her views of herself and the things she accomplishes. She believes firmly in the idea of a greater good and ensuring what she's doing lines up with that and helps people, and all in all the thing she wants most in life is to be able to have a place she can call home, a nice writing career, and a close circle of people she cares about. Especially with how alone she has been lately - she's more than a bit touch starved.
She doesn't like talking about herself to people - but often concedes regardless when they ask - and has a deep preference to listen to what other people have to say about themselves, and she very rarely forgets when someone tells her something about themselves, and at her heart she is more of a story recorder than one who tells it - she likes to play the archivist, to learn and sort details as opposed to tell people tales - at least verbally. Writing is an entirely different story, she loves to write, and it's possibly the only time she ever feels entirely at home when she does so, but she isn't exactly confident enough to share her writing.
Traits
✧ Very knowledgeable about the supernatural
✧ Loyal to the people she cares for
✧ Perceptive

✦ Extremely hard on herself
✦ Restless

History:
Once there was a girl named Evaline, who was adopted into a family that wasn't her own. Her mother was a teenager, and didn't want to deal with the effort of raising a kid, so she didn't. She handed her off to a family in the church and skipped town with her own - and Evaline was raised in a heavily religious environment. That probably wouldn't have been much of a problem were she not a bit different from the rest of them. Were she not interested in different things. Eva didn't care about gender - in fact, the first person she ever kissed was a girl - which she knew her family wouldn't like. When she was finally confident enough to speak about it with them; she wasn't met with a warm, supportive reception.
She was met with the door of her house slamming behind her as she left with a bag of clothes and nothing else to her name.
So she ended up becoming a hitchhiker and nomad for a long time, eventually settling in to sleep in a storm drain for a while, up until she met a man named Jack who - simply out of the kindness of his heart - began bringing her foot and clothes on the regular. This surprised her, as her track record with peoples generosity had been abysmal, and for a while she was feeling like he wanted something but, no, ultimately he was just a kind man, a soldier who didn't have much in his life either. So he opened up his home to her and gave her a chance to find her feet - and it was around this time that she really found her love for writing, and Jack was more than happy to support her in that while he continued to work.
It wasn't long before they were together, and later married, and then they had little Nadine - the light of Eva's entire life. She would never classify herself as the best person to be a mother, but from the moment she held little Nadine in her arms she loved her more than anything else in the world - it was just in that issue expressing those emotions that she would later find regret. She'd learn Jack was a hunter and begin working with him, delving deep into the lore of supernatural beings, and they were a wonderful team. And then Jack died - killed by a demon that would relentlessly pursue his family.
So Evaline took Nadine and ran away to the other side of the world, to London, where she thought they wouldn't be found. Where she could give Nadine the life she deserved and all would be well. Ultimately, this fell flat, when Nadine would ultimately pass away - not from a demon, but simply from Evaline's own negligence when she allowed her teenage daughter to drive the car and she was in a crash. She died on impact. Done. Over.
It left her in the lurch for a long time - resorting back to her nomadic tendencies. She buried her daughter, and then traveled across Europe with nothing but a backpack, and then Asia, and then Australia, before going back to the America's - hunting at every stop, but never staying in one place, as she was just... trying to find a feeling she wasn't sure she even remembered anymore, of belonging somewhere.

Revan let everything Lucy was saying hit her at once, and it felt like the feeling the Angel got when she was still powerful, when someone shot her with a shotgun. She felt terrible, like someone had punched her in the gut, or hit her with a baseball bat. She turned around and her hand went over her mouth, feeling like she was going to throw up. It was better that Lucy was dead than deserving this... No one deserved to be a ghost, the sad, sad existence.
Her throat tightened and tears began to well up, trying a hard as she could to keep from breaking down here on the floor.
She turned to Lucy, seemingly three shades paler, her hair not nearly as vibrant as it seemed to be three years ago, her grey eyes dulled to a shade of black. "Lucy... its 2013..." Revan hadn't been keeping track but she had counted three New Years celebrations since Lucy's death. Her hands went to her face and then back to her sides, her nails digging in to her palms until blood leaked down her fingers. "Three years.. I've counted. Three years I've slept alone in the bed. Three years I've drowned my sorrows I alcohol... Three years with my heart ripped from my chest without you here, Heaven and Earth becoming a living hell to me, leaving me with what options?" Revan wasn't going to lie, she had tried her hand at writing stories like Lucy, but that was the best poetry she could do, even if it was free verse.
Tears were dripping down her cheeks again now, and with the flick of her wrist the TV blinked to life and flicked to the news, where the date would be shown. "Everything I told you... Everything you thought I was crazy over, everything you would joke about... About me being an Angel was not a lie." Revan looked up at her again and then to the floor. "I m-missed you so... s-so much." Revan's legs stopped supporting her then and the pink haired woman fell on the floor, her head tilted down and her face in her hands, sobbing. She knew she shouldn't, but she felt as she did on the day of Lucy's death and funeral. Like all the life had been sucked out of her seeing the person she loved at this fate. But there was a part of Revan that was revived with this, the part of her that she had thought was buried with Lucy... Selfish as it may be to her, Revan was so, so happy Lucy was back.
