Full Name: Emma Rose Serdyuk
Nickname/Alias: Just Emma
Age/Date Of Birth: 21st of june, 1990
Race: Creature
Occupation: Former theatre director and screenwriter
Species Group: Skinwalker
Play-By: Elizabeth Sawatzky
Abilities
Enhanced Strength - Their strength seems to be greater than the average human's, as in its dog form it was able to kill humans. Their strength appears to increase with rank (much like vampires), as the Pack Leader was able to beat Lucky around with no difficulties. It seems that it's only in their canine form that they possess their strength, as when confronted by Sam, Lucky chose to run rather than fight.
Super Speed - Skinwalkers, in their animal form, can run and move faster than humans.
Accelerated healing - They appear to be able to heal themselves much faster than humans. A skinwalker was hit by a minivan, but when he returned to his human form he appeared to have no physical harm. The same skinwalker was shot with a bullet later, but the wound healed extremely quickly.
Super Senses - They can smell far better than humans, in either form. Using this ability, they can tell if they are being followed or if someone is in the vicinity, within an approximate range of 100 yards or more. Also, a skinwalker's hearing is comparable to that of a dog.
Infectious Bite - Like Werewolves, skinwalkers possess a venomous bite; if someone is bitten by a skinwalker, he or she will also become a skinwalker.
Shapeshifting - Like werewolves, skinwalkers possess the ability to transform into canines. Unlike werewolves, however, skinwalkers transform completely into an animal rather than a hybrid man/wolf creature. Skinwalkers can change from their human to animal forms anytime without a full moon.
Invulnerability - Like many other shapeshifters, skinwalkers can only be killed by silver bullets to the heart or head. They can, however, be injured.

Personality: Emma, the woman who randomly dances to an imaginary tune or quotes a poem that caught her attention or heart. The one with the quirky ideas of how to soak up every little moment in life in her own way, as long as she’s in the right emotional place. Ever since she was a kid she’s been sensitive, not only to her own enriched feelings but also to perceptual stimuli. And becoming a Skinwalker have only enchanced it even more. She’s caught by the most peculiar things around her. It might be the way a leaf falls for a tree to the way the nightsky displays itself in front of her, or the softest touch from a pair of fingertips. Every small experience ignite her in a way that might be hard for her surroundings to understand, and is quickly followed by a mental response. A philosophical idea or a thought process that can keep her occupied for hours, in which she uses as an inspiration when she writes or create. And she loves to inspire others, to show the world the way she sees it, and usually does with great enthusiasm. Those were the sides she used when she was directing a play, with deep passion for the art itself but also the people around her. Even in an unconventional way, it also makes her a good leader. She has no problem to tell others what to do just like she sees every member of a group constallation and does her best to find their place.. At least in her own subjective opinion.
But all things come with a downfall, and even if joy is displayed and felt in the most intense ways, so is other emotions too. She’s not afraid to cry when she’s sad or moved by something, just like anger is shown in a fiery blaze. But it also makes it hard for her to control herself and her instincts, when they kick in. She knows the consequences of her actions, since she have experienced them, and she have slowly gotten to know herself in that process. Knowledge doesn’t make it easier for her to control her somewhat unhinged emotional life, but she can prevent herself from ending up in situations that might provoke her to much. Despite that, she have embrassed her abilities. She loves being in her dog form, especially in absolute solitude, and let those senses take her over. To her, it can be kind of therapeutic and fills her with inspiration and energy. It’s well needed. Emma can go through dark periods, filled with anxiety and compulsive thoughts, sometimes even to the extent where she have a hard time eating or even get out of bed. Emma can’t hide what she feels and therefore, it might be a challenge for the people closest to her. But the dips aren’t as frequent or deep as they once were, but they happen, and a part of her is scared for the consequences of them. She knows what rabbit hole she can fall into.
Her mother calls Emma her Metélyk, her butterfly, not only for her colourful person. Emma loves the concept of love, she loved the feeling of infautation and being completely consumed by another person. But when it all fades away she have the habit of doing the same, and from giving her all to calling a relationship off can be rather confusing.. If she’s even willing enough to be exclusive. Some might say she have a fear of commitment, in which isn’t entirely wrong, but for most parts it’s about protecting her sensitive, fragile heart. Emma herself isn’t aware of the fact that she does. She does what she feels and if that means leaving a connection or a relationship she do. It doesn’t mean she’s superficial. Even during her short romances she loves deeply, just not always directed to the person themselves. This fact is also appliable to other aspects of her love and passions. Emma can be completely consumed by a movie, a project or a concept only to, in her own saying, become bored. And to be really commited, the leading star for her is to feel in whatever way there is. The theatre though, along with writing, directing and her love for making short films are the few things that are timeless to her.
Emma isn’t naturally sarcastic but rather witty, and can be quick with her comebacks just like she loves intellectual intruiging conversations and a challenge. She does it with graciousness and style, and loves physical closeness. There’s a sensuality to her, and one she’s not afraid to use when called for it. Or sometimes, to be in the center of things. Emma doesn’t always seek attention but thrives in it, foremost in her professionalism but also, to be desired by others. She's not vain but she can be needy in that request, just like her intensity can take a lot of energy from those around her. But she gives back twice as much when given the opportunity.

History: Emma was born as the youngest one out of three, right outside Red Lodge in Montana. Her parents met during high school and was considered a rather odd pairing. Her father, Roger, was a silent man who had grown up on the same farm Emma was born. Her mother Inna, on the other hand, was indeed a very kind woman but she was also imaginative, a dreamer with ambitions to become a writer. What brought them together is something Inna liked to faith, and one she was willing to loose herself for. Emmas grandmother was never a fan of her mothers choice. After fleeing the conflicts in Ukraine during the fall fo the Sovjet union, she had always wished for a better life for her beloved daughter. It was Emmas grandparents only child, and being a former member of a rather artsy yet posh community in Kiev, she always pushed Inna to follow her dreams. Even if they’d chosen a calm life for themselves as they arrived in the states, it was never her intention for her daughter to do the same. Sometimes scars linger despite the young age if a trauma and even if rarely talking about it Inna remembers a lot from her turbulent childhood. And Inna loved Roger, just like Roger loved her. The farmer and the writer, who decided to become a teacher.
From the day Emma was born, Inna knew there was something about her. She was a charming child, one that stood out from the masses. One that favoured attention and liked being in the center of it. And growing older that didn’t change. It wasn’t the fact that she was constantly seeking it. But Emma liked to act, to dance and to use her body to express herself and she also liked sharing that. She was the child with the colourful clothes that danced around the streets while singing on a cheerful tune. Roger, being a mellow man who didn’t like attention, always had a hard time to handle Emma. He told her to be more like her siblings and tried to quiet her down when she went out on a limb. Sometimes his methods to make her listen to him became rather harsh, and from time to time they even became physical. Their relationship became restrained and Emma started to feel from an early age that she wasn’t enough in her fathers eyes. But she always had her mother, whom was also her biggest fan. When her and Roger grew apart her and her mother became one, to the extent that Inna sometimes gave all her attention to Emma. It wasn’t always apprecieted by her older siblings, when they danced to Fleetwood Mac in the kitchen or read poems together without including them.
Being the brightest colour isn’t easy. Emma tried to find her place in school, but she was very different from the rest of the people around her. There was more than one time where she wished that she was like everyone else, but how can you hide the feathers of a peacock? And the older she got, the worst the words became. When Emma reached middle school it wasn’t only the loneliness that got to her. She was bullied at every occasion given and it cut her deep. Emma was highly sensitive, a being that felt every emotion through every fiber of her body, and knowing that she wasn’t wanted.. It slowly broke her down. The only thing that kept her going was her love for both acting, for writing and standing behind the camera, to make short movies of her interpretation of the world. To be a part of school plays and stand on stage. But when she reached adolescence, it wasn’t enough. Emma fell into a deep depression, to the extent of not being able to get out of bed. To punish herself she stopped eating. It became a sport to count her ribs, or count the days without food. Her light slowly faded until it was just as hollow as her cheeks, and lost her hunger for life. By the age of 15, she was diagnosed with anorexia when she was hospitalized due to her low weight. It was also there she tried to take her life for the first time. Her body wasn’t strong enough to carry her to the window, and a nurse found her crying on the floor, begging to just let her die.
It was a dark time in her parents life, in which Emmas grandmother was a big support. She was a harsh woman yet caring and she was there for Inna so she could be there for her daugther. Slowly, Emma got better, enough to go back to school and eventually graduate. She already had her eyes set on Chicago College of Performing Arts where she dreamed of becoming an actor. So she move to Chicago, and soon discovered her love for screen writing and directing. It didn’t take her long to change her major and was soon enrolled into a world that was just as colourful as her. For the first time in her life, Emma felt like she had found home. She found her first real friends and thought that maybe happiness was for her. It didn’t take away from the periods of darkness she faced, but they weren’t as long and hard. She fell in love with the arts and lived her artsy life to the fullest, as a free spirit and filled with inspiration to create through body and mind. For three years she soaked up every wisdom there was and as she fell in love with the town of Chicago, she decided quickly it was also the place she wanted to root herself in. But all good things doesn’t last forever, and when Emma graduated there was a cold and cruel reality awaiting her.
”To make it in showbiz, even in the world of theatre, you have to be willing to give what it takes” her teachers usually told her. Emma struggled to get a job and to be taken seriously. Unfourtunently her gender and looks stood in the way, and she was usually casted for a small role instead of considered good for the job as a director or a screen writer for the theatre itself. And at the end of the day, she was used. Used by men and women with power, those who wanted her body or her company. The peacock is more colourful than anyone else and she was a trophy. Emma did things, unforgetable and sometimes even disguisting, to reach her goal. She let her body be violated and somehow just became a vessel. It was the only thing that kept her from falling back, the dream she had learned to chase. And as she came closer to it, she didn’t hesitate to step on some toes as well. Those actions really got to her, to lie and deceive to get her way. That’s when she met Iyaan. He was the head chief of James M. Nederlander theatre, and he swept her off her feet. The romance was blooming and there was something so luring about him that she couldn’t put her finger on. It was toxic though, one that her friends warned her for continueing, but he gave her the job of dreams as a theatre director.. In exchanged for her full loyalty, of course. And if she’d listen, it wouldn’t be too late. She came home to his apartment one day, and was met by it echoing empty. Not until she was to far away from the door, did a big, dark mastiff turn up. He bit her, and the days of pain following was excruiating. Iyaan was a Skinwalker, and as she turned he promised her a better life. One without the depression and anxiety. Maybe it would’ve worked, if Emma didn’t fall victim for her own lust of blood. She killed a man in rage when in dog form, for reasons she can’t remember, and the event caused her to isolate herself. Instead of directing, she wrote deep and dark plays, as she fell back into the darkness. And in that lonliness, she planned her own goodbye.
Emma thought about how she’d be taken away from this life. After a tearfelt phonecall to her mum, she took a shitload of pills and drank a bottle of alcohol. It was the last thing she remember before she woke up in the hospital. Inna knew something was wrong and quickly found her way to Chicago, followed by Emmas best friend and the police she came to her apartment to find her daugther lifeless on the floor. No doctor could explain how she then survived the attempt of suicide, but Emma has miscalculated the abilities of her new form. Inna stayed with her daughter until she got better, through therapy and moments of nothingness. And slowly, very slowly Emma came back to her old self. She started directing again, to write again, to indulge in lifes all pleasures. Like a pollinating butterfly she went from flower to flower, to fall in love in the concept and idea of love. In passion and in sex rather than a real connection. But she was no butterfly, and with the heightened senses she was constantly reminded of the smell of blood around her. Iyaan was her place of hell and her safe haven, and when things got to rough she always fell back on him. With the pack he presented, Emma learned more about what she’d become. About what to avoid and how to control herself when things got to much. What had once been her downfall was now the strenght that she needed. Emmas and Iyaan relationship could never be platonic though, and she knew that one day, she’d be forced to leave the life she had created. It took her several years though, to come to the the decision to escape. She lived hidden for a long time, mostly in her dog form as a brown Saluki, until she by accident found her way to the hellhole of Zeppelin…

How did you find us?: Disboard
Experience: I roleplayed a lot on forums when I was a teenager (proboard was one of them), for around three years, on different types of servers. On Discord I've been roleplaying for about a year now.
Other Characters: Ruby Harris
RP Sample: Together they walked towards the entrance. "Existentialism is a peculiar concept to play with. Challenging, but the impact of one's mind if it hits right can be truly changing. And I see Sartres point. We're formed around the concept of acceptance, of identity. To belong somewhere, and to be a part of something bigger. And the judgement when we go outside that box is tremendous, but it also causes us to withdraw parts of one self. So I guess that's a concept of hell." The conversation changed when they entered the big room, and she asked him to turn around. She noticed the sceptisism on his face. It only caused her smile to widden, and even more so when he decided to stand besides her.
"So.. When I walk into a new theatre, I really want to take it in. Every detail of it. And to do that, I do this. Turn my back to it at first, to really feel it in. To listen. To smell. To feel. To engage all senses and then, finally, put it together with my sight."
Her eyes lingered on him as he closed his eyes, before she closed her own. The footsteps of a pair of high heels amplified in the great hall as she did, the smell of old furniture together with the perfume with a flowery touch teased her nostrils. The chilly air caressed the thin skin of her cheeks just like his hand felt warm in hers. "Okay, let's turn around.. Now!" She let go of it momentarily, to turn around and take in the room. The high ceilings, the detail's carved in the rail of the staircase, the red ton on the furniture. Her eyes swept the area while she took Iyaans hand again, and finally looked at him. She didn't say anything at first, but just smiled. "Common! Now is the time to be silly!"
There was a sparkle of mischief in her eyes as she started to walk through the hall, their fingers entwined. She smirked towards Iyaan, right before she dotted the shoulder of an older gentleman. He turned around and she in response shrugged. "It wasn't me." She said and pointed discretely at Iyaan, the man huffing with annoyance, before she pulled Iyaan with her to continue through the room. Momentarily she turned around and walked backwards, Emmas expression deliberated yet cheeky as she did, only to put her focus on their next victim. "Oh, sorry love. An emergency!" She apologised to a middle aged woman and took her glass of champagne, without stopping, and increased the speed of her steps straight after. She giggled as they reached the very end of the room, and dragged Iyaan in behind a big, red curtain. She took a sip from the glass, and gave it to him. "Strangers reactions to unexpected events? Priceless!" Her eyes held his, before she grabbed the collar of his shirt to pull him closer to her. Without another words, she kissed him passionately.

He got frustrated with her sometimes because of the way she could go from conversational to closed off, from crying to wild laughter, making a joke and moving as close to his body as she could, kind of like a small child. But he loved her and treasured the childlike way she dealt with feelings. He let those parts of her run freely because like a child she was mad, and like a child she was pure.
