‘Growing up skin and bone I was told to watch my tone.’ - Jeremy Jordan | My first enemy
Arabella grew up having to be perfect. Her father was a prominent New York doctor, her mom was the perfect trophy wife and she was the Prima ballerina of the American Ballet Company. She was trained to have body dysmorphia and she still struggles with liking how she looks, especially now that she is at a healthy weight with decent curves and no longer looks like you could knock her over if you looked at her too hard. With being forced to be perfect she now naturally hates the mere thought. Over the years Bella has developed a short fuse, a vulgar mouth and near crippling depression. Despite that she still has a strong desire to help those in need but never mistake her kindness for weakness. She may be small and sensitive but she has no problem throwing down. She is protective to a dangerous degree and will gladly jump in front of a bullet for a stranger, mostly because she doesn’t value her own life at all. Which is where the self-sacrificing trait comes in. Always willing to volunteer for dangerous tasks.
‘For goodness sakes where is my self-control?’ - Falling In Reverse | I’m not a vampire
Bella will admit she is a mess. She spent the first 17 years of her life being told what to do, what to think, what to wear, how to act. Every minute of every day was planned for her and with one fatal car accident it was all ripped away. She was lost for a while, especially because she couldn’t dance after the damage to her knee. She didn’t know what to do but thanks to her uncle taking her in and teaching her how to live, how to be free, she found herself. She is 30 but she is still constantly working on her personality.
‘How come no one heard her when she said maybe I’m better off dead.’ - Sleeping with sirens | Better off dead
Should Bella be medicated? Absolutely. Is she? Only if alcohol counts. She was a little unstable after the accident at 17. Things got worse from there but it wasn’t all bad. Her uncle brought out her real personality and taught her how to be happy and helpful and extroverted. He helped her graduate Nursing school and when he taught her how to hunt he accepted and embraced her spitfire personality. When her uncle died on a hunt she felt like her heart had been ripped out after it had just been put back together. She had no one. What was the point of staying alive when no one would even notice if you were gone? She hit the bottle hard for a while. Eventually she got tired of peeling herself off the bathroom floor and threw out the bottles. She stopped cold turkey which was extremely difficult and dangerous. She just finally got over the copious amounts of vomiting and still has the shakes from time to time which is a little concerning when she is holding a gun but she is still a fairly decent shot don’t worry. Bottom line is she is constantly working towards sobriety and whatever the next step down from happiness is. Mostly because she doesn’t want to push the bar too high. She is back to her almost normal self and the depression is starting to get better the more she meets people. She is still looking for her family and for a reason to keep pushing on but for now energy drinks, coffee and music will have to be what keeps her head above water.
‘Face down in the dirt she said this doesn’t hurt, she said I’ve finally had enough.’ - Jimmy Eat World | The Middle
When it comes to specific personality traits Bella is sarcastic, caring, hot headed, helpful and prone to emotional outbursts. She is over dramatic and does have a bit of a hero complex when it comes to helping people. She can't help it she grew up with a father and uncle that were both great at what they did in the medical field. She brings a certain grace to hunting and might add a twirl or two if her knee allows it. Her biggest fault is her mental stability. She really is working on that. She is dedicated to those she considers family and fiercely protective. Another talent she has is acting, she is great at lying when the situation calls for it. She is ever evolving and still trying to find herself.

History:
Arabella Pandora Way was born August 12, 1992 to Donna and Theodore Way in New York City. Theodore Way was one of the top Cardiovascular Surgeons in the state and Donna was a loving trophy wife. Arabella started ballet pretty much when she could walk and became one of the best and youngest principal dancers with the American Ballet Company out of New York City. When Bella was 17 she was on the way home from a performance with her parents, it was a cold snowy December day and the roads were icy. They wound up in a collision that killed her parents and left her with damage to her right knee to the point where she could no longer dance. Bella thought her life was over because all she had ever known was ballet and now she could no longer do it.
She was taken in by her uncle Robert who lived in Texas which meant she had to leave behind her old life in New York City and move to Corpus Christi, Texas. Her uncle Robert worked at the local hospital much like her father did. He was an emergency room doctor but spent most of his time doing other things. He was gone a lot and told Bella that he was away on business but when he came home a little banged up she started to wonder what kind of business he was talking about. Once she turned 18 he decided that she was old enough to know what his side hustle was. Robert helped hunt supernatural creatures in the great state of Texas and started to take Bella with him on some of the easier, less dangerous hunts. As she got older he taught her more and encouraged her to take up hunting as a replacement for not being able to dance anymore. But he also encouraged her to go to school so she would have something to fall back on. That was how she wound up graduating from nursing school but missing her graduation because she was helping her uncle hunt down a rogue ghost in Sterling City. She has found that her medical skills have helped in hunts because she can patch up people that get injured and everyone can avoid a trip to the hospital because let's face it, what hunter wants to try to explain their special collection of injuries to an emergency room doctor?
As the years passed things got harder for Bella. Her mental health started to decline and she started to fall into deeper levels of depression. She tried pouring herself into working at the same hospital her uncle worked at but that didn’t help and she eventually quit. When he died on a hunt she completely fell apart because she didn’t have anyone left. Her parents were gone and the man she considered a father for years was gone. She had no siblings, no cousins, nothing. She tried to find answers in the bottom of a bottle but of course found nothing except more sadness and a couple fist fights at local bars. Bella is hot headed and when she drinks she has no filter at all. She curses like a sailor and that frequently gets her into trouble. She likes getting into trouble. She found herself waking up on the bathroom floor one too many times and got fed up with it and decided that she was tired of doing nothing with her life and she wanted to honor her uncle so she started hunting again. Now she is trying her hand at sobriety which is really freaking hard and dealing with mental instability. She left Texas and is following stories in the papers (both physical and digital) looking for hunts and reaching out to fellow hunters that need help. She desperately wants to find somewhere to settle down, somewhere she belongs with friends and she wants to find a family even if it is makeshift. Till then she is throwing herself into dangerous situations and doing her best to get better. She is determined to improve not only her mental health but her hunting skills because let’s face it, she doesn’t have that many.

There were days that Bella would wake up in a shitty motel room in some state that she couldn’t remember and she would just pull the blankets over her head and wish she was back home in New York. This was one of those days. She was tracking rumors in the hunting world of some vampires making a mess in Texas; vampires were her least favorite thing besides ghosts. They were relatively easy to hunt but because of what happened to her mentor in the past with a hunt gone wrong she hated them. Bella sighed and looked up at the white ceiling in her motel room and she wished that she was back in her comfy bed in New York getting ready to go to the dance studio and spend several hours doing ballet because that was what she should be doing. She shouldn’t be getting ready to go lie to federal agents just to insert herself in a crime scene to see if it was vampires, then she shouldn’t be getting ready to go chop their heads off with a machete because that wasn’t the real world. Unfortunately that was her world now.
She sighed deeply and finished the rest of her redbull as she parked her old red jeep a couple blocks away from the crime scene. She hated dealing with the feds because it was damn near impossible to pretend to be one of them when they knew what an actual FBI agent was supposed to look and act like. It always made her nervous. She preferred hunts where she rarely had to pretend to be someone else, thankfully she was very good at acting and had a wonderful fake badge to go along with it. She was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans and boots since it looked a little rainy outside and she had a nice long black pea coat that cinched at her thin waist. She was short and she got some looks as she walked up to the tape and flashed her badge to walk in.
This was clearly the work of at least one vampire and she hoped she was dealing with a singular one and not a nest, nests were always harder to get rid of when you were working by yourself. “I can guarantee you won’t find a single drop of blood belonging to the victim anywhere either. Or defensive wounds.” He wouldn’t have been able to fight back if he wanted to. “Hi sorry. My name is Arabella Way. I’m from the New York branch. Anything you can tell me about the victim?” She asked curiously. It might help if she could know a little about why the man was killed or if it was a random attack. She did however know that more bodies would start piling up and it was up to her to make sure that didn’t happen. No pressure or anything.
