Abilities
Voice Mimicry: Sydney has all the basic abilities of a regular Crocotta, including vocal replication. Just by hearing a snippet of a person's voice, Sydney is able to flawlessly replicate mannerisms, lingual tics, and unique qualities with a second's worth of observation and analyzation. So far, no human has ever distinguished Sydney's voice from her target person.
Soul Consumption: As her physiology requires, Sydney has the innate and instinctual ability to harvest souls before their death and eat them. While all Crocotta are able to sustain themselves with regular human food, their supernatural powers and intelligence dimmer without the nutrition provided by souls for their bodies. This quality allows Sydney to essentially grow exponentially in power with the more deaths surrounding her.
Shapeshifting: Sydney is in a perpetual guise of a human. The shapeshifting abilities granted to Crocottas allow them an easier hunt and, when worked together with Sydney's voice mimicry, could create a suitable disguise in any plausible situation. Unfortunately, beings who could sense Sydney's metaphysical embodiment render this skill useless.
Super Strength: All Crocotta have strength slightly stronger than a human at full physical capabilities. While not as strong as other enhanced creatures or beings, Sydney uses this as a basic provision and a tool for distracting enemies or hunting prey.
Superhuman Agility: Sydney's speed is comparable to vanishing and appearing at an instant. Slower than stronger deities or creatures with the ability to teleport or beings such as Mercury, Sydney's agility is a useful asset and dangerous in battle.
Electrokinesis: The livelihood of Sydney is to work as a hacker. Never pursuing in that field of education, Sydney retrieves information, destroys systems, and plants corrupt data or other acts by using her inherent electrokinetic powers. All forms of electronic technology like phones, computers, toys, or even wireless connections can be manipulated fluidly.
Enhanced Lifespan: A characteristic trait of all Crocotta is their unnaturally long lifespan compared to human counterparts. However, this could be prematurely ended by a well-placed stab near the nape of the neck.

Personality: Her sadistic tendencies doesn't endear her victims and her hatred for weakness makes them cower. Before becoming Sydney Hare; electronics specialist and technological advisory member for the local engineering and machinery club, Sydney Hare was a reclusive murderer. She still is, in a way, when she drives the socially awkward students under her care to suicidal children and, when she consumes their souls without remorse, shows her bland indifference to death. Ironically, when presented the same pain, Sydney'll be terrified out of her wits.
Crocotta aren't known for immense, deafening fears, but Sydney is an exception. How few her terrors are exemplifies her feelings of horror when witnessing the profound nightmares. Thus, no matter where her loyalties lie, Sydney is extraordinarily selfish and cowardly in spite of her boastful habits and cruel methods.
However, Sydney has the capability to manifest a sense of bravery and sacrifice. Underneath her treacherous, cunning, and manipulative exterior, is her lonely self with no one there. It's at these moments that Sydney's confusion worsens and she doesn't know how she feels, what she's fighting for, and why she does what she does. Sydney is uncertain of her own existence and personality, merely being a figment of replication. Depressingly, Sydney has small psychotic breaks which she defends as killing her benefactors. She reasons that her existence is granted by other's and she collects parts of what she sees and integrates it into her own body into what she thinks is a mutilated and repulsive being.
Either way, Sydney remains a dangerous enemy by utilizing any resources available in her environment and surroundings. She sets fair ground from her own genetic weaknesses as a Crocotta by engaging in psychological warfare and estimating any action her enemies may take. Due to this, Sydney remains vigilant in her analyses and pays special attention to detail.
Her loyalty may also be unquestionable once completely and truly earned, as exemplified by her efforts to resurrect her long-dead non-blood brothers despite no obligation requiring her to do so.
Still, Sydney's values are not without fault as her own boredom leads to her monologuing, leaving her open to attacks and unguarded while conversing. Her arrogance in her own intelligence may be another exploited weakness though she reprimands herself immediately after mistakes.
All in all, Sydney is a calculative and ruthless Crocotta with no solid ambition and a willingness to dominate with logic over emotional values. But it remains the same that one goal, no matter how twisted and diluted it may be, is to find a family where she could experience emotions she can sense from the souls she consumes. She yearns for the dull notion of happiness no matter how abstract it may be to her.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Regularly, Sydney is a smiling jester who's a large ham. Her boisterous personality guises her true intentions while she embeds herself into society. This proves that Sydney's acting skills are superb and the basis that she avoided being caught in the same time for the entirety of her life remains an achievement. Other than social difficulties while acting freely and her psychological troubles, Sydney acts as any productive member of society and is fully integrated with humanity.
The scariest part of Sydney, however, may be that all her acts are completely legitimate and that she could change them in an instant.

Important Others: Nathan Renard & Joey Clause
History: Originally born in Sydney, Australia in St. Vincent Hospital, Sydney Hare moved to the United States before she was one. Her mother and father were Crocotta and so was her elder brother, Esteban, who was born in Israel before the family had to move. In remembrance of their old home, her parents named her after the city in Sydney Cove. Sydney grew a happy child, albeit with more corpses and a different nutritional diet than others. She went to a Baptist School in Roanoke before settling down for a few years in Wolf Trap, Virginia.
Still, her father followed a new cult led by a Witch in the town. They preached for the coexistence of humans and supernatural beings. Helen, being a staunch believer of traditional methods, continued to kill much to her husband's disgust. With a heavy breath, Paul decided to sell her out to Hunters in exchange for what he believed was peace. Instead, Hunters came and purged the entire premises, thinking it was a trap. Helen died bloody and Lilli, now two, died. By then, Sydney was eight years old and Esteban was thirteen. Seeing his mother get killed fueled a rage for Esteban, pledging to avenge her.
Wanting to put the family tragedy behind and mourn in peace, Paul moved to Boston, Massachusetts with his two children.
Esteban became a ruthless killer, eating and killing indiscriminately. He rebelled against his father in many forms; he slept with numerous women and killed them afterwards, did reckless acts, and jumped in broad daylight before Hunters. Paul ceased his previous notion of coexistence. Sydney, however, felt nothing but misery in her mother's passing and in Lilli's death. The barest mention of their name(s) was taboo and so was their race, leaving Sydney to feel estranged from her peers.
One day, when she was nine, a year later, Sydney walked home from her first day in fourth grade. Two boys, so similar that they could be twins, named Nathan and Joey interrupted her lone walk and spotted her lift a car tire with her pinky in amusement at the junkyard. Terrified, Sydney didn't know the repercussions if everyone knew but she saw what happened last time. Sydney began avoiding the boys through their pursuit and her paranoia grew. What if they told?
She plotted on killing them one night, finally accepting an invitation to meet in the graveyard. As she was readying the handle of her blade and sharpening her tiny teeth, they exclaimed praise. Nathan was asking if she had superpowers and Joey was thoroughly amazed at her ability. Surprised, Sydney granted their request of lifting massive objects such as small boulders and lifting tombstones from the ground, desecrating the dead. Proud for the first time in her life and happy, they became friends.
It was another year, when she turned ten, that she learnt their story. Joey and Nathan were twin brothers before their parents split and divorced. Clarence Clause and Jeremy Renard, a Bostonian woman and a Frenchman, were their parents before a fight over secretive jobs and neglect. Sydney promised to help them with their powers soon after and the brothers were elated, excited for their parents to get back together. Sydney's friends remained unknown to her father and brother.
Sydney feigned the departed couple's voices respectively to arrange a meeting and later planned a small revelation over what they didn't know about each other through hidden text messages and technologically recorded information. Curious, Joey and Nathan looked as well. Jeremy Renard, a handsome man and ladykiller, was a hired killer. Shocked, Joey and Nathan called off the plan immediately, never wanting their mother to be married to such a man. However, they loved their father. So Joey and Nathan resolved to follow in their father's footsteps and, to Sydney, promised to be her brothers. Sydney, who had by then forgotten the term, fell into perpetual bliss. The most joyous day of her life.
Throughout Elementary and Middle school, Sydney was inseparable with the boys. The boys grew into foul-mouthed fighters while Sydney remained reserved. Still, she picked up on a few of their traits; namely their overconfidence, habit of monologuing, and destructiveness. It was by this time that Esteban was going to college. By then, Paul, her father, had the notion of Crocotta superiority instilled in him from his years of mourning and suffering. Esteban, disliking humans, decided to integrate himself with them to enrage their father.
During a furious lashing, Sydney's brother and father fought. Neither came out unscathed or alive. Joey and Nathan, however, were caught in the battle while trying to visit Sydney. Overcome with sadness and loss, Sydney murdered her weakened family and carried Joey and Nathan's bodies out, burying them in a wooden sepulcher in the graveyard where they met.
The next few years were spent in feeding and endless sadness for her. She had no reason to continue on. However, she knew that, with all the creatures out there, the potential to revive her brothers exist. She would do it herself, with no help. She resolved. She would do it and free her brothers from the grasp of Heaven or the chains of Hell.
This remains her sole motivation and drive for what will be the entirety of her life. After the incident, Sydney manipulated electronic records and intercepted phone calls, successfully weaving a story to the authorities that Sydney Hare never existed. The townspeople know different yet they knew nothing of Sydney and no proof could be gained. By then, Sydney's half-way to Black Ax, California.
She spent the last recent years of her life searching for a way to revive someone and training her abilities to the fullest extent. She made her living by volunteering at the local electronics, robotics, and engineering convention for youths, twisting their minds into suicidal thoughts before consuming their souls. The rest of the time, she worked as an underground hacker known as "Little Birdie" able to obtain anything.
Now she's setting off, packing everything into her Chevrolet Malibu, and twisting her guise into a new identity. She'll be actively searching now.

RP Sample: Wind brushed past the cat-tails lining the bank of the river. Some salmon were jumping to the top of the water, sliding back in like flawless dolphins, and they sure looked like it from the way the sun shone at just the right angle, giving a perfect glimmer and beauty. The stretches of the stream was lined with rough patches of grass and pale dirt or sand rudiments lying around. Sydney smiled and unrolled her knapsack, picking up the Literary Magazine and reading a passage of The Necklace.
Several other things tipped up from the lid of the knapsack. A Swiss knife, for one, was well-used if determined by Sydney's callous hands and small cuts; cuts which resembled the edge of the the knife's blade. Other things were there too; a small teddy bear, a gun, some ammunition, and several knives. A wad of bills were propped out of a leather wallet and some car keys jingled as it caught up with the wind.
Sydney breathed, "She was one of those pretty and charming girls born...." and she continued on, and droned on, because reading aloud filled the silence. Reading aloud was like reading to someone, like a kid on your lap, or your old grandmother, or your lover as they fall asleep. It makes you feel like you're not alone. Sydney liked that feeling, so she just kept going on, even when she was finished with the story. She would go to the next page, read nonsensical words, and flip the page without reading the text yet saying what was written.
Tears slipped past, unbeknownst to her. A mouse jittered past, making way towards her sack in search of food. Its eyes glowed in fear yet it held on, hungry. So desperate, she noted from the top of her head. Animals had souls too.
So she grabbed the mouse, the tiny thing trying to gnaw and paw and just try to get out of her grasp. Tiny scratches were forming and dotted lines of red made way around her hands. Carefully she lifted the mouse to eye level, wanting to look into what interested her so much. And she dug a finger into its dots and gouged it out, blood seeping through the now-empty holes. The mouse squealed and stopped for a moment before clawing harder than before.
The situation; it reminded her of something. She didn't remember what finished the thought so, ridding the mouse of its beautiful eyes, she carried it next to her mouth. And bit. Chewed, salty, yet the soul was bright and large. It some ways, it was a better breakfast than most, including her appetizing humans.
She turned to her book, her hunger sated. And filled the silence again, with the wind billowing in her ear.
It's been a great day today.
