Abilities
- Superhuman Speed,
Maxine is able to move at amazing speeds for a good amount of time. When entering this speed, to others, she will be little more than a gust of wind while to her, she will be moving so fast that it will seem like time has slowed down by comparison to her. This gives her the ability to manipulate the battlefield to her liking in a matter of seconds if she so chose to.
While moving at high speed, she will be able to run along walls, ceilings, and any hits from her will be devastating to the enemy from the force behind them. On the down side, if she collides with anything at high speed head on, it will hurt much more. This ability requires Max to eat - a lot. She needs to have the calories to burn to put this to use, so she’s almost always eating and never putting on any weight. When on Angel Blood, Max can break the sound barrier.
-Superhuman Endurance
Maxine is able to take a ridiculous amount of damage for a girl her size, her skin and bones being much tougher than the average human being. She’s able to take attacks that would kill a normal human being, and weapons that would normally end a human beings life will only wound her.
Comparable to creatures with this ability, she is able to take gunshots to the body and shrug them off for a while until they break her skin, but if repeated, they will injure her. She can withstand massive amounts of damage in comparison to the normal human and then walk it off. On Angel Blood, Max seems to become almost borderline indestructible by physical attacks, able to shrug off even the strongest of hits.
-Shamanism
Max is no where near the skill level of her mother, but she has a grasp on the craft and is trying to expand her knowledge of it the best she came. She is able to conduct rituals that will strengthen her or people around her by calling for help from friendly spirits.
She is also able to enter the spirit realm and ‘heal’ damaged souls, much like Stephanie can. Max, however, spent less time invested in the spiritual aspects of being a shaman and more on the physical aspects. She has become decent in the use of the animal spirit rituals which allow Max to ingest parts of animals and gain their abilities - such as a bears strength, or a cat’s night vision.
She is able to combine these on a minor level, but she isn’t very good with mixing them yet, as the ritual to do so is complicated.

Personality:
Max is a total tomboy, she was never one for pretty dresses or barbie dolls, she was the girl with the leather jacket and the motorcycle who would - and still will - punch you in the face. She’s never really been one for working with others, and she’d often try to do everything on her own, even if she’s well aware she would be biting off more than she can chew.
She’s tough, and she feels like she has to show that so people don’t figure her for a weak little girl living off of her family and it’s respectable name, as Jane, Cecil and Elias left big shoes to fill with her last name.
She’s not afraid of getting her hands dirty - she prefers it, in fact, being mostly unarmed in her combat style. She would rather spend her time working on an objective or working out, known to be restless. She can be a bit off putting and seem cold to other people, but she has good intentions in everything she does - even if the ends justify the means.

History:
Max was born very soon after Stephanie and Elias got married, and she was always a big of an odd kid. It was clear from when she started talking she was going to be an interesting kid - her first word being “Shit!” - which her parents would often blame on Jane due to her excessive cursing. As she grew, the girl showed more of an affinity to boyish things. She liked watching football with Keeper and Cecil, she would prefer to play with toy soldiers in comparison to Barbie dolls, and she’d work out with Elias from a relatively young age. When she became seven, she even signed up for a girls football team.
Her household was pretty well balanced, all things considered. Cecil would watch over her often, her silent guardian - she grew to idolize her great-grandfather and loved listening to his stories, but the person she really took a strong liking to was her grandparents, Cody and Jane. She had a strong love for the pair, and whenever she had the option she would stay at their place for the night - it was her favorite thing to do as a child “staying over at Grammy Jane’s and Popop Cody’s house”
At first, Max wondered if she wasn’t gifted with abilities like the other members of her family, and she started feeling self conscious about this, to make her feel better about this, Stephanie offered to start teaching Max shamanism when she was about ten years old - and it was a good thing to fill her time with. It was figured for a while that Max had somehow bypassed the families powers, that was, until one day, when going out on an early morning jog with Elias and Cecil, that Cecil would challenge her to a race and Max suddenly ended up three blocks away from them in the blink of an eye.
They started conditioning her powers after this time, teaching her to control them. She was pulled into home school and taught by Keeper for a long time while she learned of Shamanism and her bloodline abilities, it was in this time that her younger brother was born and she met her friend, Hanna. Hanna was someone who understood her better than her own family, she would spend most of her time with her.
When she got a bit older and had a grasp on her powers, Cecil made Max an offer - one he had extended in the past to Jane Arkwright and to Elias and Noelle in their timeline - that she would be able to come along with him as a “New Orleans Vigilante”, noted that Cecil was aged quite a bit at this period of time, though he persisted in his night time ventures.
Maxine was very happy with this and she learned a lot from spending time around Cecil, Elias, Noelle and the other vigilantes, learning how to fight with her hands and then, her most favorite skill out of all of them, parkour. She learned how to scale he buildings of New Orleans effortlessly. There came times when Cecil, Noelle, and Elias were called off on IHA duties, and in that time, Max would be put under the watchful eye of Princess.
When she became sixteen, Max began having a rough patch with her family. She fell in with a bad crowd, shut herself off, and even, for a time, ran away and joined a gang. It’s not something she is proud of today, but it taught Maxine a lot about the opposite side of the spectrum. She learned about the sex, the drugs, the money and the killing, and it showed her something.
The leader of the Grey Lyons - the gang she joined - was a Vampire named Leon, and in Leon’s eyes, he wasn’t a bad person - the ends just justified the means, and that phrase became very important to her and hit close to home. She stayed with the gang for about a year and a half until Elias and Stephanie located her and convinced her to come home on the grounds that her great-grandfather, Cecil, had been crippled on the job and forced to retire into a wheelchair, funny, according to Elias and Noelle, because he was put in one in their timeline as well.
It was a real wake up call to her, and she returned to her families side, her rebelliousness forgiven. She was inducted into the IHA a year later when it was decided that she was mature enough. It wasn’t until after this that she discovered the nature of her second power. She’d never been injured on the job - everyone figured it was just luck, but it was something else entirely.
Maxine and Hanna rekindled their friendship when Max came back from her gang life, and they decided that, one night, they would go out and see a movie. On the way home, the girls were in a car crash that shot Max straight through the window and fifty feet down the road… an impact which she then shrugged off and ran back to the car, barely even injured. Hanna, on the other hand, was in a much more grave condition. She was put into a coma from the crash… It hit Maxine hard.
The IHA became Maxine’s escape from the hardships of what happened, she stopped being a vigilante and focused on hunting, traveling with Noelle, Elias and Cecil when they would go out on jobs, and whne she was home, she would be working out or practicing her abilities non-stop, always trying to sharpen her skills.
It was poetic cruelty that the day Hanna woke from her coma that the rip started to tear the world apart. Before Max could even see her, she was gone - soon following it, her family with some last words from Elias before he ran to assist civilians to go to the IHA with her little brother. Her family stayed behind and died trying to evacuate people from New Orleans and she quite literally ran to join up with the IHA, though she lost her little brother along the way…
She was among the group that was sent through time with the other IHA members tasked to fix the rip, and she swore she would… for her family, for Hanna, and for everything she had left behind, even if it kills her.

Revan let everything Lucy was saying hit her at once, and it felt like the feeling the Angel got when she was still powerful, when someone shot her with a shotgun. She felt terrible, like someone had punched her in the gut, or hit her with a baseball bat. She turned around and her hand went over her mouth, feeling like she was going to throw up. It was better that Lucy was dead than deserving this... No one deserved to be a ghost, the sad, sad existence.
Her throat tightened and tears began to well up, trying a hard as she could to keep from breaking down here on the floor.
She turned to Lucy, seemingly three shades paler, her hair not nearly as vibrant as it seemed to be three years ago, her grey eyes dulled to a shade of black. "Lucy... its 2013..." Revan hadn't been keeping track but she had counted three New Years celebrations since Lucy's death. Her hands went to her face and then back to her sides, her nails digging in to her palms until blood leaked down her fingers. "Three years.. I've counted. Three years I've slept alone in the bed. Three years I've drowned my sorrows I alcohol... Three years with my heart ripped from my chest without you here, Heaven and Earth becoming a living hell to me, leaving me with what options?" Revan wasn't going to lie, she had tried her hand at writing stories like Lucy, but that was the best poetry she could do, even if it was free verse.
Tears were dripping down her cheeks again now, and with the flick of her wrist the TV blinked to life and flicked to the news, where the date would be shown. "Everything I told you... Everything you thought I was crazy over, everything you would joke about... About me being an Angel was not a lie." Revan looked up at her again and then to the floor. "I m-missed you so... s-so much." Revan's legs stopped supporting her then and the pink haired woman fell on the floor, her head tilted down and her face in her hands, sobbing. She knew she shouldn't, but she felt as she did on the day of Lucy's death and funeral. Like all the life had been sucked out of her seeing the person she loved at this fate. But there was a part of Revan that was revived with this, the part of her that she had thought was buried with Lucy... Selfish as it may be to her, Revan was so, so happy Lucy was back.
