History: Amalia was born in Cape May, New Jersey, raised by a young and happy couple by the names of Serena and Joshua Rae. To the city folk, the family were thought of as normal and outgoing. However, the Rae's held a secret hidden to the entire town, and remains hidden to this day. Joshua was Hunter, tracking down spirits and monsters that dared threaten him and his family, while Serena practiced spells and kept handheld charms to help protect her daughter and husband.
As Amalia grew up, she was introduced to the dark world of the supernatural and the paranormal, being trained to hold and use a gun or any weapon that would help keep her safe from harm. However, as time progressed, the redhead found that she could barely wield a weapon, let alone a pistol. So instead, she found a calling in protection charms and talismans, learning new spells from her mother. Amalia was never a fighter to begin with, so she served as the supportive role during her father's hunting trips. Other than that, everything was completely normal for her. She grew happy, with the love and protection she needed and deserved.
Until one night, when the girl was at the age of 17, she and her father were hunting, searching for a demon who had been responsible for ending innocent lives in the city. Once they had spotted the shadowy figure, Amalia attempted to draw out a protection spell on the dirt beneath her feet, forming a circle around them. However, there was an error that could have potentially ended her life. She had drawn the symbols of the spell backwards, thus having no effect on the demon.
Just as the demon was about to strike, Joshua had managed to distract the demon and killed it. Yet, it cost his own life to protect his daughter from the creature. Holding her father in his arms, Amalia could nothing but watch him die with tears blurring her vision. He just smiled at her, and slowly his warmth faded, and his eyes clouded over. He was gone...
Now at the age of 23, Amalia and her mother Serena have opened a shop known as Celestial Guidance in Port Republic, New Jersey. There, they sell charms, souvenirs for wandering travelers, as well as the store serving as their home and secret hideout for storing information on demons and spirits. What the young redhead doesn't realize is that fate has created a path for her.

RP Sample: Parfum Palace was a place Emeline had always wanted to visit, yet could never afford. However, she didn't come here for personal pleasure. No, what she really came here for was to learn the history of this castle, and the King who once ruled it. The dark haired female was nervous; she had never participated in writing a news article before, and she doubted her writing abilities. And yet, she accepted the job offer for writing an article based off the history of Kalos, and it could be of anything she wanted. This made the girl's mind wander, and it lead her to Parfum Palace.
As she managed to gain access to the castle by paying the fee required to enter, Emeline wandered the large building in awe at what was in front of her. Walls covered with jewels and silver trimming, and statues made of pure gold. This was amazing, she thought. This castle had exceeded beyond her expectations, and she couldn't help but stare at the beauty around her. However, she didn't come here to admire, no matter how much she wanted to. She had an article to write, and so she began to move forward, asking some the tourists some questions about the King. However, she received very little information that was deemed worthy of her paper. Many of the tourists knew nothing of the man who once ruled the region, and her heart sank.
A sigh left her lips as Emeline began to lose hope, feeling she'd have to find another story to work on. Just as she was about to think such thoughts, an elderly man walked over to her, causing the dark haired female to blink in confusion. He smiled tenderly at her, parting his tired lips to speak.
"Excuse me, child. But are you by chance seeking information of our old King? If so, I have a story that may interest you." He chuckled, causing the girl to beam a bright smile. There was hope after all!
"Please, do tell! I would love to hear it." She spoke eagerly, causing the old man to laugh heartily and lead her to an empty room of the castle, where he could tell his tale without interruptions. He cleared his throat as he began tell the story, while Emeline took a seat with her notebook and pen in hand.
"This tale is takes place 3,000 years ago, known only by a select few who are deemed worthy of hearing it. But I feel you will put this story to good use, so listen well." He said, earning a small nod from the girl.
"Once upon a time, there lived a man and his Pokemon, whom he loved very much. They lived happily together, without a care in the world. Until one day, war came to this land like a raging storm. The man's Pokemon took part in this war, but in the end, lost its life in the violence. He was heartbroken, and wanted more than anything to bring his Pokemon back. And so, he created a machine that not only brought his beloved Pokemon back from death, but granted them both eternal life. However, the man was still grieve stricken at the fact that he had lost his Pokemon in the war. It was then that he turned this machine into a weapon of mass destruction. This weapon ended the war, as well as many lives of innocent humans and Pokemon. The man's Pokemon knew the risk he had made and was saddened by this fact. The Pokemon then left the man, never to be seen again. However, it is said that the man continues to search for his Pokemon, even after 3,000 years has passed."
Tears brimmed in Emeline's eyes as the old man finished his tale, wiping them away instantly as she looked up at him. "What a sad story..." She spoke, earning a nod and kind smile from the elder.
"It's a sad tale indeed... One that has been lost to history. Yet, I feel that it has to be shared, which is why I told you. May you carry it in your heart and mind always." He said, turning to leave before she spoke to him once more.
"Wait...! How do you know all this?" She asked, her curiosity getting the better of her. The old man laughed gently and turned to Emeline with a bright smile.
"Would you believe me if I had told you that I had met this man? The one who searches desperately for his Pokemon?" He asked, causing her to grow wide eyed. His smile grew even more and bowed his head in farewell, taking his leave once more. As she watched him leave, she stared ahead for a moment, before beginning to write in her notebook the story she had just been told. An hour had passed before she returned to Lumiose City, handing in her article to the press with full confidence. The article contained the story the old man had told her, and with that a glimmer of hope. It was tale that touched the girl's heart, and it was one that she'll never forget.
