Likes (At Least 3): ❤ the outdoors ❤ toys (frisbees, yo-yos, water guns, etc.) ❤ water
Dislikes (At Least 3): ✗ crowds or confined spaces ✗ bad weather ✗ smog and pollution
Fears (At Least 2): ☬ sharks ☬ suffocating
Goals (At Least 1): ★ Once it was to continue as a professional water skiier but now that she's been opened up to the supernatural, her goal is to become the best hunter she can be.
Personality: A lot of people don't guess it by first glance, but Jaz is somewhat of a tomboy. She's very outdoorsy, in fact, she's most comfortable outside, in open areas. She loves to fish, hunt (game hunting, I mean), hike, climb trees, play outdoor sports, or run, but most of all, she loves to swim. Jazmine is extremely comfortable in the water. She's a great swimmer and can hold her breath for nearly ten minutes underwater.
Although she most enjoys being outdoors, she's not completely uncomfortable inside closed walls, unless it's particularly crowded. She doesn't like huge gatherings so she tends to stay away from them. At a party, if she were to attend, she'd most likely hang out on the sidelines so she can make an easy escape. It's not that she's shy, or that she doesn't like being around people. In fact, she's pretty outgoing and usually enjoys the company of others, but if too many people gather at once, she finds it a bit suffocating.
Jaz is the sort of person who loves to try new things. She loves adventure and really enjoys a challenge. She wants to live her life knowing that she has taken every opportunity that life has thrown at her. She is strong-willed and determined, and wants to die one day knowing that she lived her life to the fullest. No regrets.
Positives (At Least 3): ✧ outgoing ✧ adventurous ✧ adaptable
Negatives (At Least 3): ✦ impulsive ✦ competitive ✦ defensive
Parents: Mike and Elaine Cooper (adoptive parents), Frank Porter (birth father), Monica Porter (birth mother, deceased) Siblings: none Other Family: various extended family through her adoptive parents Important Others: Ollie, close friend History: Jazmine doesn't remember the day she was taken away from her birth parents, nor does she recall anything up until that point. She was just under four at the time, the only child to a pair of hunters, and when someone witnessed her in a dangerous situation, CPS was called and eventually she was put into the foster care system. Luckily, even though most people wanted to adopt newborns, Jaz only spent about six months in an orphanage before she was adopted by Mike and Elaine Cooper.
The Coopers were a very loving couple... great parents. They were protective over her but they allowed her to have a lot of freedom, which, as a child, she spent most of playing outdoors with a couple of boys in her neighborhood. Up through her early teen years, she wasn't overly concerned about typical girly things like dolls and makeup, preferring dirt and mud and Transformers and super heroes instead. It wasn't until she was in high school that she really became interested in boys. She began to understand the importance of cleaning herself up and trying to look and smell nice when it was appropriate, but at the end of the day, she'd rather stick her toes in the mud than in a pair of Jimmy Choos.
She was fifteen when her parents revealed the truth about her being adopted. She had mixed feelings and a lot of questions. For example, she didn't understand why her birth parents didn't try to fight for her. Her parents tried their best to comfort her but they just couldn't give her the answers she needed. They insisted that she finish high school before she went actively looking for them, and she agreed, because she was happy in the life she had and was patient enough to wait.
During her summers growing up, she did a lot of game hunting with her dad and camping with a friend and his family. She learned to waterski when she was eight years old and was a natural at it. It became one of her favorite summer pass times, and after she graduated high school she pursued it professionally, auditioning and becoming a member of a waterski team that performed shows up and down the east coast. In the meantime, she did everything she could to seek out her birth parents. But even with the help of a personal investigator, it took her almost three years to locate Frank.
Frank was distant at first. He turned her away several times, but Jazmine was persistent, and finally he came to the conclusion that maybe if he was honest with her, she would leave him alone. So they began to keep in touch with texts, e-mails, phone calls, and visits whenever they could manage it. She learned from him about the world of the supernatural... that ghosts and monsters were real and that he and his late wife (who had been killed about six years prior by a rugaru) hunted them. He told her that when she was taken away, they didn't fight for her because they wanted her to have a better life. Frank hoped that the truth about his lifestyle would cause her to run from him, but it had the opposite effect. She impressed him with the knowledge she already had with certain weaponry and firearms, and her tracking and survival skills, and convinced him to start teaching and training her how to be a hunter. It's been a little over half a year since she's been at it, and it's easily become the most exciting time of her life.
Dean cast a glance over his shoulder, reaching into his inner jacket pocket to be sure for the third time that everything he would need was in reach. It was times like this that he wished he had some way of knowing who was a demon and who wasn't short of splashing everyone in the establishment with holy water. That was just something he couldn't do, no matter how much he might want to. These last couple of years had really made him paranoid.
After scanning the room again he finally turned back around to face Ellen, leaning forward a little and keeping his voice low as he grabbed the ketchup bottle and shook it a little, making sure it wasn't empty. "So what's the 411?"
