Being born into a hunting lifestyle has a certain effect on a person. If someone's as good at the hunting game as Roni is, it leaves them tough, hardened and understandably paranoid towards other people. Her life as a hunter has led to Roni bracing herself for the worst case scenarios, fully expecting things to just get worse and worse before they ever get better. She's become a bit jaded to the world, having seen the worst it has to offer and, as a general rule refuses to trust creatures - especially nowadays - even if they haven't done anything wrong, and from there a bullet to their brain is just a step away, depending on the monster and on Roni's mood. She uses her training as a hunter to mask just how much of a mess she really is, using the recent losses she has endured to force her way towards a nemesis she doesn't know how to defeat in the Nightmarchers, but it's all she has left.
After losing her father/mentor, the love of her life, and the child she was carrying - Roni has developed something of a death wish. She holds little to no regard for her own safety, but a high degree of it for other people, even those she doesn't like - this often leads to her charging to meet danger recklessly and brutally head on with hopes of dying doing something, anything that looks even remotely close to helping people. And there's nothing someone should fear more than an enemy that has nothing left to lose like this hunter does.
Positives (At Least 3): ✧ Quick thinker ✧ Fast learner ✧ Almost fearless

Parents: Robert Kekoa, Olivia Kekoa Siblings: N/A Other Family: N/A Important Others: Mackenzie Pepper (Fiancee, Deceased) History:
The events that would shape Roni into the woman she has become today started many, many years ago. Before Hawaii had been taken under the rule of world powers, it was under the rule of King Kamehameha the Great. Kamehameha forced the islands to unite through sheer military might and frightening brutality - but this story isn't about him, it relates to one of the largest scale victories during his conquest; the Battle of Nu'uanu. The battle was a bloodbath that ended when the king and his troops forced the men of the opposing force off of the cliff they were pushed back to, and then one by one forced them all to fall off and down the hundreds of feet of mountain below. Hundreds of soldiers died that day alone... but none of them left, and these many dead took the forms of something else, something known as The Nightmarchers.
And so the restless spirits of warriors were reported through the ages, marching the island of Oahu, attacking those in their path who did not show them the proper respect in stripping down and laying flat on the ground. Many hunters tried to stop them, and many failed.
That was, until Roni was born. Raised by a hunter father and an oblivious mother - Roni was secretly brought up in the ways to combat the supernatural from the moment she was old enough to understand. Her and her father disguised it as a hobby of hunting wild boards and mongoose, but they were hunting much larger game all over the Aloha State. They even handled a rather rare case from Maui of a group of mermaids causing trouble. It was a pretty basic Hunter upbringing, and she loved the feeling it gave her to be saving people like they were. She thought it was her calling in life, but life had other plans when Roni encountered a French immigrant who moved to Hawaii to start a restaurant, Mackenzie.
Roni and Mac were fast friends, and over the course of a year developed a relationship that would lead to them dating for five years. Mac quickly became exposed to Roni's hunting job, but she never got too involved in it - preferring to stay far away from it if she could, but supported Roni when she was able.
After five years of dating, Mac proposed to Roni on New Years Eve of 2016. Roni, of course, said yes - despite her fathers long-term disapproval towards the relationship and thinking it took her focus off of what really mattered in hunting. Despite this, Roni was doing spectacularly on the hunting front, better than she ever had done. That's why, then the first rumors of the Nightmarchers swelled back up, a result of a failed large-scale hunt on the island, Roni and her dad thought they had it covered. They followed the horde of Drauger's trail and ended up fighting a small pocket of them one night, it wasn't that big of a deal to them, despite Mac begging Roni not to go as she had a horrible, dreadful feeling about the case.
Of course, they were unaware that they had merely fought a small group of the rotten beings, and the horrible creatures followed Roni and her father home. It wasn't that night they showed their true colors, however, attacking two weeks later where it really hurt - Mac's resturant. Roni made it in time to see the vengeful beings demolish the building and slit Mac's throat before allowing one of their disgusting friends to possess her body... She ran, the images haunting her, but when she fled to her father's home, she was met with a similar sight... in one night, the undead monsters had taken everything that mattered to Roni in one, swift move.
Weeks passed and Roni simply simply shut down. She didn't leave her fathers boat, which eventually simply became her home, and she didn't chase any cases, completely cutting herself off from the world without a single thing driving her to hunt down the creatures that took what she cared most for from here.
That was, until she finally charged her phone after weeks of not using it and found one unheard voicemail.
"Hey Roni... It's Mac-- Err, I guess you'd know that. Call ID... I'm so dipsy sometimes.. So.. I know you wanted to wait and-- Look, Roni.. Don't get mad at me, baby... I know you wanted to wait until we were married but I just couldn't. I should've told you before.. And I'm just so scared to face you... I went ahead with the IUI.. And it worked.. I'm.. I'm pregnant, Roni.. Please don't be upset, baby.. And I know I should of told you this in person but... I guess I'm scared of your reaction. Something just tells me I need to tell you tonight, beca---" *CRASH*
So she'd lost three people to the Marchers.
Her hunt for the Nightmarchers pushed everything else to the back of her mind, they would be the only cases she would pursue, appearing every New Moon. Usually, Roni would be too late, that was until the angry horde of spirits attempted to attack a secluded family home on the coast. Roni managed to take her enemy on then, she was alone, guarding a scared family - but she managed to hold off the army of decaying warriors off until dawn broke over the horizon and sent them all vanishing back to the holes they crawled out of. And now... now she just waits for the creatures she has made her personal mission to destroy to show themselves.
Revan let everything Lucy was saying hit her at once, and it felt like the feeling the Angel got when she was still powerful, when someone shot her with a shotgun. She felt terrible, like someone had punched her in the gut, or hit her with a baseball bat. She turned around and her hand went over her mouth, feeling like she was going to throw up. It was better that Lucy was dead than deserving this... No one deserved to be a ghost, the sad, sad existence.
Her throat tightened and tears began to well up, trying a hard as she could to keep from breaking down here on the floor.
She turned to Lucy, seemingly three shades paler, her hair not nearly as vibrant as it seemed to be three years ago, her grey eyes dulled to a shade of black. "Lucy... its 2013..." Revan hadn't been keeping track but she had counted three New Years celebrations since Lucy's death. Her hands went to her face and then back to her sides, her nails digging in to her palms until blood leaked down her fingers. "Three years.. I've counted. Three years I've slept alone in the bed. Three years I've drowned my sorrows I alcohol... Three years with my heart ripped from my chest without you here, Heaven and Earth becoming a living hell to me, leaving me with what options?" Revan wasn't going to lie, she had tried her hand at writing stories like Lucy, but that was the best poetry she could do, even if it was free verse.
Tears were dripping down her cheeks again now, and with the flick of her wrist the TV blinked to life and flicked to the news, where the date would be shown. "Everything I told you... Everything you thought I was crazy over, everything you would joke about... About me being an Angel was not a lie." Revan looked up at her again and then to the floor. "I m-missed you so... s-so much." Revan's legs stopped supporting her then and the pink haired woman fell on the floor, her head tilted down and her face in her hands, sobbing. She knew she shouldn't, but she felt as she did on the day of Lucy's death and funeral. Like all the life had been sucked out of her seeing the person she loved at this fate. But there was a part of Revan that was revived with this, the part of her that she had thought was buried with Lucy... Selfish as it may be to her, Revan was so, so happy Lucy was back.
