Personality: SIofra is a tough old woman, hardened by a lifetime of hunting monsters. She was a bright one growing up, with a heavy thirst to learn all she could to be the best hunter in her family line. Determined with an astounding level of focus, she never had time for love and missed out on having a family of her own. Some days it saddens her, but usually she feels quite content that she remains single. She has a flair for improvisation and enjoys coming up with plans, whether they be for battle or just something small, such as trying to weasel out of a task she has no desire to do.
She finds regular work such as working as a cashier or a desk job to be utterly boring, and remains so glad that she never had to work like so for her entire life, except for a brief stint when she was 16. Siofra is able to put on a great performance, and has always enjoyed disguises because of it. Most of the time she presents as a very well-mannered and regal old woman, but in truth she can be rather foul-mouthed and coy. She loves her tea and is thoroughly offended by anyone who makes tea in a horribly improper method.
Siofra fears losing her mind to something like dementia, as she treasures her memories and her ability to think. She has a soft spot for pathetic things, and may fawn over or take pity on any animal she comes across that she deems as being quite helpless or in need of aid.

Negatives (At Least 3):

History: Born in Ireland, Siofra grew up on a small farm away from most other civilization. While sheltered, she had access to a vast library that had been procured over decades by her father and grandfather. She would spend hours of her youth pouring over those books, her imagination running wild at the idea of what the outside world was like. When she wasn't reading, she was creating dramatic plays that she would put on for her mother, or was trying to sneak in injured animals she had found to take care of. As she grew older, her bloodthirsty side showed and she took interest in her father's weapons and hunting. While he had hoped for sons and got only daughters, Angus was still pleased that at least one of them showed promise in inheriting his trade. He taught Siofra intensely, giving her the skills to survive in the wild and how to hunt all manner of animal with all manner of weaponry. Once she was 15, he introduced her to the other hunting the men in his family did.
Boy, did she relish the task of hunting vampires and werewolves. She threw herself so deeply into hunting, that Siofra missed her chance to have a family of her own. Her opinion was that she had a sister who could do all that, so her parents would get their grandkids and didn't have to bug her about it. When she was 30, she left Ireland and made her way to North America. She spent time traversing through Canada and America, hunting the monsters she came across as she went. Her life took an unexpected turn when she was 37.
While passing through Cathedral Grove in BC, Canada, Siofra came upon an most unusual creature. She had heard the steps of something following behind her, but it hid under a network of roots before she could fully turn around. Once she had drawn it out with food, she had no idea what she was looking at. No taller than her knee, covered in black down and ugly pin feathers with the face of a young child, Siofra felt her heart ache for the skinny, starving, and fearful bird-like creature. He was wary of her, and said very little, but she understood that he had fallen out of his nest several days back and was subsequently abandoned by his parents. Siofra decided then that she had found another animal to nurse back to health, and she left the forest with the baby creature tucked under arm.
She had absolutely no idea what she had found, but she named him Corbin and from that day forward they were inseparable. She found out later that he was a harpy, and the road to raising him has been long and hard, sometimes very trying. She had very little information available on harpies, and what she did find seemed to be largely inaccurate when she observed Corbin. When his flight feathers grew in, Siofra had fun being inventive with teaching him how to fly. It was a completely unconventional process but seemed to work well enough. They also found out about his weakness to silver by accident, when he picked up a silver fork out of curiosity and got a severe burn to his hand. She felt so awful for harming a child, that Siofra went out right away and bought all new silverware, made out of something other than silver.
The day she found out he could take on a human form was a shock to both of them, but one that they quickly worked to understand and utilized to their benefit. She was always baffled when Corbin had a fit of anger, though she knew that while he may direct it at her, it wasn't because of her. She could sense his frustration at not understanding what he was, and being made to live in a human world. Whenever he flew off to cool down, Siofra feared for his life, and feared what would happen if a hunter should sight him and kill him out of fear or the thrill of the hunt. Slowly, she came to realize that while she may have never married or had children, Corbin was more her child than anything she had planned for. As he got older, Siofra began to teach him various hunter methods that she felt he was able to utilize, and he became an asset on the hunt. She enjoyed the look of shock on the faces of prey that Corbin swooped in out of nowhere on to lift them up and drop them or just body slam into. It was a method they used more and more as she got older and a little slower, as it had the potential to stun them long enough for Siofra to get a critical hit in or to make a run for it. There is still much that they are learning every day about Corbin, and she is trying her best to both care for him, while also keeping a wary eye out in case she has to end things (though she hopes it will never come to that). Siofra does get a kick out of tormenting Corbin when she can, though he does retaliate in turn. At times they seem rather childish.
If asked, she couldn't say at what point he stopped being basically an exotic pet and became family.
Once she reached 60, she set up a small odds and ends shop in Montana and "retired" from hunting. Corbin helped her run the shop, though he mostly kept anything mechanical in working order while she chatted with customers. Despite being "retired", Siofra still couldn't help but want to go on adventures, and kept an eye on her town, investigating any suspicious activities. One day, she and Corbin were on their way home from a lovely morning walk, when they arrived in Zeppelin City rather than their own town. While they were extremely confused, Siofra nonetheless took control of the situation and has since made herself very much at home. She enjoys walking about town, meeting the new faces and getting to find new information on everyone.

"You cannot have proper tea without real boiled water." Siofra stated to a distracted Corbin.
"Mm-hmm. You say this every morning." The handsome young man at the table responded, flipping the page in the newspaper he was reading.
"Because I fear you have yet to truly grasp the concept. I've seen you try to cheat by nuking it in the microwave, and honestly that is utterly offensive." The old woman turned her kettle on, before turning to lean on the table by Corbin. "And what's worse, is you tying to to trick me into drinking such offensive tea."
He looked over at her, one eyebrow raised critically.
"I could be trying to trick you into drinking coffee." He pointed out.
"Bah! Poison!" Siofra stepped back, making a warding sign with her hands. Corbin just smirked at her, before looking back to his paper.
Siofra continued to mutter under her breath about bad tea and poisonous coffee as she rifled through her tea selection. Looking out the kitchen window, she decided that today was a marigold day. Puling the tin down, she set to putting a generous scoop in her cup's strainer, before lifting it out to put a drop of honey in the bottom of the cup. Looking over to Corbin, she lifted a cup for him and gave him an inquiring look. He sighed and leaned back in his chair to examine the shelf.
"Mmm....raspberry leaf today." he decided after some thought.
"So your usual."
"Mm-hmm."
"Not going to try anything new?"
"The last time I tried a new tea, it was that disgusting dandelion tea."
"You needed to cleanse your liver!"
"You call coffee poison? Well dandelion tea is poison to me."
"Pfft." Siofra shook her head and prepared his cup as well. Once the kettle cheerfully announced that it was ready, she poured the water in and set a timer to let the tea steep, before she sat down across from Corbin.
"Any news today?"
"Just the usual. Earthquakes, politics, sports garbage. Nothing exciting. Oh wait..." Corbin turned the newspaper to the last page as sarcastically as he could. "There's a sale on at the grocery store today for avocados."
"Well then. I think we're in need of some avocados after a spot of tea.'' Siofra grinned. She loved dragging him shopping, and making the trip longer than even she could tolerate just to playfully torment the harpy. He just groaned in defeat.
