Abilities
Demonic Possession - Like angels, demons require a human vessel or "meat suit" to travel on Earth. Unlike angels, they do not need a person's consent. Also, unlike angels, demons can possess corpses. It is easier to take control of people who are in states of heightened emotions or fear. This ability can be thwarted by Anti-possession tattoos. Also under certain circumstances, the person being possessed can regain control if his or her will is strong enough.
Electromagnetic Interference - Demons, like spirits, often disrupt nearby electronics with their presence.
Flight - Only when in their natural forms.
Immortality - Demons have an indefinitely long lifespan and an arrested aging process.
Invulnerability - Injuries that would be fatal to humans, such as broken necks or gunshot wounds, have very little - if any - effect on demons. They can only be killed by special weapons or rituals. Unlike angels they don't heal their vessels. If the "meatsuit" receives too much damage they simply find another human to possess, leaving their former vessel to die.
Super stamina - Demons never tire, and do not require food, water, oxygen, or sleep to sustain themselves. They also do not get hot or cold.
Super strength - Demons possess superior physical strength compared to that of humans; capable of physically overpowering humans and most monsters. The higher ranking the demon, the stronger it is. The highest ranking demons can overpower low-level angels.
Supernatural Perception - Demons are able to see hidden supernatural activity and beings, such as Reapers, ghosts, and Hellhounds.
Supernatural Senses - Demons have an enhanced sense of smell and taste.
Telekinesis - Demons can move or suspend objects and other beings with their minds. Higher ranking demons can use this ability to kill people by snapping their necks.
Biokinesis - Some demons can manipulate the biology of other beings
Electrokinesis - Being able manipulate electronic equipment to their will.
Invisibility - Some demons can become invisible to humans.
Pyrokinesis - Some demons can generate and manipulate fire. Note: According to Demon lore Iblis was created from fire, this myth was created by Iblis's uncanny ability to put the ability of pyrokinesis to use, it's among his most powerful abilities.
Soul Reading - Some demons, particularly Crossroad Demons, can assess the condition of one's soul.
Teleportation - Some demons can travel from one place to another instantly, without occupying the space in between.
Terrakinesis - Very Rare; Some demons can create small earthquakes.
Thermokinesis - Being able to manipulate the temperature, particularly to make it more hot.
Magic - Iblis is a very powerful magic user, while he might not compare to some other demons, in comparison to a skilled witch, he is up there in the charts of skill. He is able to cast a large variety of magic with ease. He can also draw from Witches whose bloodline she holds the contract to to bolster his power through a unique spell - as an example, the Stone bloodline.
Angel Warding - Iblis is aware of the use of blood sigils to expel angels, Echonocian sigils to block them from areas and from himself, and has been studying the Angel Exorcism.

Personality:
Iblis is never exactly cold, but he never coddles either unless he is trying to get something out of it. He's oddly polite and professional, but one cans see a clear distinct darkness behind his eyes and in his smile. He rarely gets angry, but when he does, it's a frightening sight and his rage is fiery - literally - and deadly between blasts of flame, alarmingly precise attacks and powerful magic. Typically, Iblis will not enter physical combat and rely on his abilities at more of a range, or his lackeys to cover him that is, unless he is on a contract for a higher demon in Hell. Should Iblis be sent on a contract, he will let the target see his face and not let them die alone - a small bit of kindness, but if feeds his sort of morbid desire in watching them die personally.
When one see's Iblis, one can see he isn't quite like normal demons. He's very calm and collected, never openly sadistic unless he has to be. He is cruel, but in a sickeningly kind way and while he may have killed many in his past for fun, now he only kills if he has to, otherwise he will avoid conflict or allow his little minions to handle it. He enjoys the feeling of superiority and power over those around him both physically and intelligently, but he knows when he is outmatched and he will never question his superiors orders.
He's known throughout Hell for never questioning his orders openly, his high respect for those above him and his overall polite - if disturbing nature. His team is also highly respected in Hell and rarely do anyone want to cross them. He figures that it is not his place to question orders unless he is above the one giving them.

History:
The exact origin point of Iblis in history is a mystery, no one really knows where he comes from, not even he remembers anymore and he doesn't care. He has done a large variety of things in his lifetime, but his most notable accomplishments in Hell that made quite a name for him to start off with had to be during the time of Muhammad the Prophet and the Arabic and Hebrew time periods. In this time, Iblis was ruthless, plotting, destructive and powerful. He killed hundreds, ruthlessly and smashed his opposition relentlessly. He was so frightening in this regard that he was actually labeled as Iblis, or, in the Arabic language - Devil. They believed he was the Devil himself and took a huge role in the Quarra as their figure of Satan, it's written that Iblis was born from fire because in this time he would burn piles of people fore amusement.
As time passed, Iblis calmed down quite a bit. He became more focused in his methods, he even took to working on the racks for a few years. Here, he created three demons that took a role in shaping him in the future. He spent a good thousand years, and through it, he created these three various individuals. Flair, Delsin and Marian were the three demons he crafted on the racks who he took a particular liking to, and it was Marian who convinced him he should return to Earth. When he did - Iblis had big, big plans.
He has a list of noteworthy people whom he used as a meat suit, he's shaped the world in many ways. One of which was a Gangster by the name of Al Capone. He possessed him at the early point of his career in crime and held through until he was placed in prison and after Capone, he moved on to bigger and better things - deciding that he needed to focus more on the Hell side of things. He began taking specific contracts from people in hell with his team - becoming a rising star in Hell, known as a Hitman, an Assassin. A good one at that, called by even the highest ranking of demons to solve their problems while he enhanced his operation through his contacts.
His operation as a demon became large, a small army he had under him, working crimes and anything else that came along for years. He spent a long period of time where he was sent after pesky Hunters, Creatures, Civilians, Witches and even Angels - anything that got in the way of his or other demons and their operations and he took trophies. Many, many trophies from weapons to bones, to angel blades.
A few years back, one Angel in particular was causing him issues, but even Iblis had issues keeping up with her - Revan. He lost his one altercation with her, never giving his name, simply escaping when he realized he was outmatched in her present capabilities. So Iblis did something else. He broke her emotionally - killing her lover, Lucy Grey, in front of her in order to break her. He got his wish and his operation flourished without Revan and her friends causing him issues. He continued on as he had for so long, even taking a new meat suit more recently for a change. Since, he has taken a renewed interest in Revan, Lucy Grey and Kenzie Stone. It's a fascination he can't quite understand, but it amuses him.

Revan let everything Lucy was saying hit her at once, and it felt like the feeling the Angel got when she was still powerful, when someone shot her with a shotgun. She felt terrible, like someone had punched her in the gut, or hit her with a baseball bat. She turned around and her hand went over her mouth, feeling like she was going to throw up. It was better that Lucy was dead than deserving this... No one deserved to be a ghost, the sad, sad existence.
Her throat tightened and tears began to well up, trying a hard as she could to keep from breaking down here on the floor.
She turned to Lucy, seemingly three shades paler, her hair not nearly as vibrant as it seemed to be three years ago, her grey eyes dulled to a shade of black. "Lucy... its 2013..." Revan hadn't been keeping track but she had counted three New Years celebrations since Lucy's death. Her hands went to her face and then back to her sides, her nails digging in to her palms until blood leaked down her fingers. "Three years.. I've counted. Three years I've slept alone in the bed. Three years I've drowned my sorrows I alcohol... Three years with my heart ripped from my chest without you here, Heaven and Earth becoming a living hell to me, leaving me with what options?" Revan wasn't going to lie, she had tried her hand at writing stories like Lucy, but that was the best poetry she could do, even if it was free verse.
Tears were dripping down her cheeks again now, and with the flick of her wrist the TV blinked to life and flicked to the news, where the date would be shown. "Everything I told you... Everything you thought I was crazy over, everything you would joke about... About me being an Angel was not a lie." Revan looked up at her again and then to the floor. "I m-missed you so... s-so much." Revan's legs stopped supporting her then and the pink haired woman fell on the floor, her head tilted down and her face in her hands, sobbing. She knew she shouldn't, but she felt as she did on the day of Lucy's death and funeral. Like all the life had been sucked out of her seeing the person she loved at this fate. But there was a part of Revan that was revived with this, the part of her that she had thought was buried with Lucy... Selfish as it may be to her, Revan was so, so happy Lucy was back.
