Personality: Talia is a girl who never backs down from a challenge. Overcoming a challenge thrills her and helps to boost her self confidence. She has a lot of energy and is quite friendly and outgoing. Talia has always enjoyed playing mediator between two people, or playing matchmaker for her friends, but when it comes to her own love life, she had a hard time. She finds it quite easy to be flirtatious with a guy she's attracted to, but when it comes to someone she actually has feelings for, she can become surprisingly shy and maybe even a little awkward.
Sometimes she likes to find the most complicated solution to an otherwise simple problem, especially if it means she gets to show off. When it comes to her stunts, she's like a proud peacock showing off his feathers for all the world to see. She has been known to be a little arrogant when she's pumped full of adrenaline. But at the end of the day, when it's time to relax, she likes calm and cozy, peace and quiet. She needs some tranquility to balance her otherwise action-packed life.
Positives (At Least 3): ✧ daring ✧ outgoing ✧ trustworthy
Negatives (At Least 3): ✦ very competitive ✦ impatient ✦ arrogant
As children, Talia lived in the shadow of her twin brother Michael. While he was always very active and social, she leaned more toward the shy, soft-spoken side. But even as children, he never let her stay off on her own, even when she wanted to. He was always pushing her to come out of her shell... to try new things. He liked to turn everything into a friendly competition and as the years went by, Talia was pushing and challenging her brother just as much as he had been challenging her.
By the time they reached high school, no one would have even dared to refer to Talia as 'shy' or 'quiet'. She was lively and friendly and full of confidence. She and Michael both joined multiple school team sports and activities together... swimming, cross country, etc... but when Michael joined the baseball and later the basketball teams their Sophomore year, Talia signed up with the cheerleading squad. It was here that she met her closest high school friends, a group who also welcomed her brother into their fold (when he wasn't hanging with his own teammates).
Halloween of their Senior year, the group ventured into a rumored haunted house and played with a ouija board. Things went a bit differently than they expected, as they started getting messages about killing them all, and though she wouldn't admit it at the time, it terrified her. Still, she wasn't sure that someone wasn't messing with them, but the whole night just left her feeling unsettled. When the group narrowly escaped a tragic accident involving an avalanche at a cabin they had planned to stay at for a winter vacation, things took an even creepier turn. That Christmas break, one member of the group, Stacy, was found dead in her yard having been strangled by a strand of Christmas lights she was trying to hang, in what the police dubbed as 'a freak accident.'
After Stacy's death, the group became increasingly more distant from one another, though Talia did her best to keep in touch now and then with the others after graduation. She and her brother, Michael, started performing motorcycle stunts for competitions and as hired shows under the team name of "Fyrestorm." They were wildly successful and happy, always challenging one another to go bigger and bolder, as they always had. Then one day, tragedy struck again when one of the stunts went horrible wrong and Michael was killed.
Talia might as well have dropped off the planet. She went into a bitter state of depression, ignoring and avoiding family, friends, and basically life itself. She stopped doing what she loved, both out of fear and because she had lost her thirst for thrill and adventure. It was Courtney who reached out to her, and her persistence and stubbornness was what eventually helped Talia to not only properly mourn the loss of Michael, but to realize that he would have wanted her to continue living... really living. So she started performing stunt shows again, changing her stage name to Blackfyre, honoring the loss of what she will always refer to as the better half of her team.
Dean cast a glance over his shoulder, reaching into his inner jacket pocket to be sure for the third time that everything he would need was in reach. It was times like this that he wished he had some way of knowing who was a demon and who wasn't short of splashing everyone in the establishment with holy water. That was just something he couldn't do, no matter how much he might want to. These last couple of years had really made him paranoid.
After scanning the room again he finally turned back around to face Ellen, leaning forward a little and keeping his voice low as he grabbed the ketchup bottle and shook it a little, making sure it wasn't empty. "So what's the 411?"
