Characteristics - Nuckelavee are the ghosts of people killed by medieval horse dismemberment, and have been driven mad by the traumatic experience of their body being ripped apart. Many of them see possessing horses like they do as some form of revenge against the things that kill them, but in reality they can possess any living being, turning the hosts that they attach to into rotting, shambling beings like their “rider” is.
Nuckelavee are the source of many myths circulating around ghostly riders in the night, as many centuries ago when they were more common, they would group up into hunting parties and ride through the night, hunting the living and the dead alike to sate their unending bloodlust with weapons of bone, phasing in and out of existence in an unnatural fashion while they chase down those unlucky enough to be caught in their path.
They are a terror to both the physical and astral plane - being more common on the latter, where they hunt down wayward spirits and drain them of their power, killing them and making the Nuckelavee stronger.
Appearance - Nuckelavee are technically only the rotting upper body of the victim of the execution, connected most commonly to horses, or another living being of equal levels of decay. They are usually in horrible shape, their limbs hanging on by loose strands of meat and torn tendons. Bones and exposed, bloody muscles are shown through their torn and shredded skin. The inside of their body and their eyes glow with a white light, the brightness of which usually depends on just how many spirits the Nuckelavee has drained. Powers/abilities -
[/u][/i]: Nuckelavee can enter and leave the Astral Plane on a whim, appearing to teleport in white flashes when they do. Power Draining: Nuckelavee are able to drain the power from other spirits by piercing them with their blades or hooking into them like they would a living person, causing the victim spirit no longer exist and making the Nuckelavee even stronger. Supernatural Strength: Nuckelavee are very strong. Supernatural Speed: Nuckelavee can move very fast when connected to a host body like the most common horse. Corporeal: Unlike most spirits, they are corporeal. Supernatural Agility: They can move with ease and grace, leaping over obstacles in their way with ease. Osteokinesis: Nuckelavee are able to grow bone weaponry in the shapes of blades, hooks and spears to use from their body. Some can also grow armor on their human torso and their possessed lower body. Possession/Assimilation: Due to their maddened state and traumatic origin, they target horses and “assimilate” them into their body, becoming one with the horse, which quickly rots and breaks down. They are also able to break off from the horse to possess other living beings - all of which rot and resemble the Nuckelavee exposed bone and muscle when it does. There are even rare accounts of them connecting with the backs of humans and “riding” the dead body like they would the more common horse. [/ul] Vulnerabilities - [/u][/i]: Nuckelavee cannot cross lines of salt, but rather than burn them, it will throw them back. Host Separation: Separating the spirit from its assimilated host will hinder its mobility greatly, causing it to have to walk on its hands or use its bone manipulation. Dismemberment: Cutting a Nuckelavee into pieces again will render it immobile. Iron Stake & Burn Remains: To kill one, one has to drive an iron nail, stake or weapon through its head after dismembering it, and then salt and burn the body. [/ul] History - N/A Alpha Spot - N/A[/blockquote][/div]

Characteristics - Tikbalang are rather, how can I put this, playful creatures. Sure, their methods of playing might not be fun for it’s victims but they get a kick out of their shenanigans. The Tikbalang target travelers and people who are moving through the woods. They tend to stay in a designated area which they call home, usually by a large cave or something that they can rest inside of. They like to stalk the people passing through their area and play tricks on them from afar. This includes changing the forest around them to cause the travelers to become lost and confused. No matter how hard one may try to find their way out, they’ll somehow keep returning to the same section of woods. Once the person gives up, or the Tikbalang becomes bored, it will reveal itself and that’s when the true fun begins… They’ll torment the traveler by pushing them around with their large hands, or knock them down over and over to the point that the person can even get up. In some instances they’ll even control the vines around them to pick the victim up, where they’ll begin tickling and poking at them as much as they want. If they get their fun with no problem, that’s that and the person could probably escape… If they tend to piss the monster off by ruining it’s fun it will stomp them to death with large hooves and them will proceed to eat them. They’ll very temperamental and when they are angered, their eyes turn to a reddish glow.
However, perhaps the strangest thing about the Tikbalang is the fact that it can be tamed. Within its thick mane, there are 3 small sharp spine like anomalies, that are gold in color. If someone is able to get all 3 of these, they can use it as a talisman, to make that creature their servant. The tikbalang must first be subdued, however, by leaping onto it and tying it with a specially-prepared cord. The would-be-tamer must then hang on while the creature flies through the air, fighting madly to dislodge its unwelcome rider, until it is exhausted and acknowledges its defeat, where they can then look on it’s mane and see the 3 golden spikes and if they pluck 3 of them before it eats them, the Tikbalang will serve them until their master dies. The reason for this is extremely interesting. The Tikbalang grow these golden spines as they get older, and once they have all 3 they are considered a fully grown Tikbalang. This is incredibly important within its species, as it is a symbol of maturity and power. This is why, when the three golden, small spines, are taken that the Tikbalang will follow the person; giving them not only great respect but vouching their own lives for them as they proved themselves worthy and more powerful than the Tikbalang.
Appearance - Tikbalang are incredibly big creatures, standing at about 10 to 11 feet in the air. They are very horse-like, with giant horns that resemble somewhat of a ram’s. They’re covered in a dark colored fur, but around the head and upper back it is thicker and longer. It can be described as a tall bony humanoid with disproportionately long limbs, and hooves at the bottom of it’s long legs. Perhaps it’s most chilling feature, as it’s knees will reach above it’s head when it squats down. Lastly, it has lifeless big beady white eyes that send shivers down traveler’s spines. Powers/abilities -
[/u][/i]: Tikbalang are able to manipulate the forest environment around them to confuse their victims. They’re also able to freely control vines that can grab onto people. Camouflage: The Tikbalang are able to camouflage themselves with any forest type environment. Leaves, bark, plants, etc. Supernatural Strength: Tikbalang are very strong, able to lift a full grown man with no problems. Voice Mimicry: They are capable of mimicking voices they’ve heard, they use this to confuse their victims more. [/ul] Vulnerabilities - [/u][/i]: They can lose all of their free will if tamed. Eyes: Their big white eyes do not camouflage with them, so it’s possible to see their eyes wherever they are if they have them open. Fire: A sure way to kill a Tikbalang is with fire. [/ul] History - N/A Alpha Spot - [/blockquote][/div]

Characteristics - Skin Takers are malevolent monsters who will break into people’s homes at night, straddle their sleeping forms and then drain their life force. In order to fit into human society by day, Skin Taker’s wear the skin of victims who they decide are no longer of use and are able to morph their bodies to fit it perfectly, able to resemble the person perfectly, even able to swap between genders on a dime. They also have a tendency to feed on Shapeshifters, finding their false skin and hearts delicious, considering them a delicacy.
Appearance - If one were to see a Skin Takers, they will notice one thing sticks out in particular: They have no skin… usually. If a Skin Takers DOES in fact have skin, it isn’t theirs, and it belonged to someone who probably isn’t around anymore.
Powers/abilities -
[/u][/i]: Skin Takers have retractable scalpel-like claws in their index fingers that they used as weapons and to cut skin effortlessly. Shapeshifting: When they decide they are finished with a person, or simply need the skin, Skin Takers will cut the skin off of their victims with surgical precision and then be able to morph their bodies in order to fit properly into it and not raise too much suspicions once it is all stitched back together, fitting snugly or… skin-tight, even. Life Leech: By positioning themselves on top of a sleeping victim, they are able to feed off of their life force for energy and sustenance. Dream Inducement: By feeding off of a person, a Skin Taker will cause them to fall into a deep, dream filled sleep so they hopefully won’t wake up. [/ul] Vulnerabilities - [/u][/i]: Over time the skin they wear begins to rot, and it becomes easy to identify them when it does. Silver: Like many creatures, silver can be used to harm a Skin Taker. Enough damage done by it can kill them. Fire: Fire can be used to kill a Skin Taker. [/ul] History - N/A Alpha Spot - [/blockquote][/div]

Characteristics - Unicorns come from the fairy realm known as Avalon. They’re incredibly rare and there’s not many left. This is because Unicorns have special blood that is very delicious for all kinds of creatures, and can be addicting.Because of this Unicorns are very skittish around all kinds of creatures/humans, and it’s said when a Unicorn approaches someone that they are either destined for great things or are pure of heart.
Appearance - Unicorns are typically found to be white, with a golden horn protruding from their head. It is rare but it’s possible for a Unicorn to be black and uncommon colors are even more the rare, in fact it’s very unlikely.
Powers/abilities -
[/u][/i]: The tears of a Unicorn can heal not only a wound, but an environment around wherever the tears touched. Extraordinary Blood: All Unicorns have something very special in their blood, what it is for sure is unknown. However, it smells incredibly delicious to other creatures and if one feeds upon a Unicorn they’ll become addicted to it like a drug… And if they do, it’s more than likely they won’t be able to access it again and that will cause them to slowly go insane, almost as if their minds are being disintegrated. Magical Horn: Unicorns have special magic in their horns, as this is the source of their power. They use these to access the realm of Avalon so in turn, if one was to get access to a Unicorn horn, they could do the same. However, their horns can also be grounded into grains and use for magical rituals. It’s said that a Unicorn’s magical abilities surpass that of even most natural born witches and so in using the grains/dust from their horns can create some of the most powerful spells or potions. Prey Instinct: Unicorns possess a very special ability to sense if someone or something is a threat and are great at evading said threats. This also allows them to see into one’s soul and determine if one is pure of heart or not. [/ul] Vulnerabilities - [/u][/i]: A Unicorn can die if tons of damage is done to it. Horn Removal: By removing a Unicorn’s horn; they will die a slow and painful death. [/ul] History - N/A Alpha Spot - N/A[/blockquote][/div]

Characteristics - Pegasus come from the fairy realm known as Avalon. Perhaps the most loyal creature of Avalon, Pegasus are a warrior’s true companion. In order to ride a Pegasus however, it’s not just the means of gaining one. No, instead a Pegasus must choose their owners and they don’t pick just anyone. Individuals who show great strength or are pure of heart are who they oftentimes pick as their owner. Once they do have one, they are fiercely loyal and would ride into any battle with them and perhaps even risk their own lives to save their master’s.
Appearance - A pegasus is usually a beautiful white color with huge gorgeous wings. Sometimes it would even seem as if the Pegasus was shining/glowing when light hits it, just to signify how pure it truly is. Other colored Pegasus are rare to none.
Powers/abilities -
[/u][/i]: The most obvious of their abilities, they are able to fly. Pegasus are also able to create strong blasts of wind with their wings. Prey Instinct: Pegasus possess a very special ability to sense if someone or something is a threat and are great at evading said threats. This also allows them to see into one’s soul and determine if one is pure of heart or not. Supernatural Strength: Pegasus are incredibly strong, at least it’s much stronger than a normal horse and is the strongest out of it’s cousin creatures; the Unicorn and Hippocampus. [/ul] Vulnerabilities - [/u][/i]: A Pegasus can die if tons of damage is done to it. [/ul] History - N/A Alpha Spot - N/A[/blockquote][/div]

Characteristics - Hippocampus come from the fairy realm known as Avalon. Perhaps the most curious creature of Avalon, they are known to approach many different creatures/people without being afraid. Much like the Pegasus, Hippocampus choose their masters and most of the time, they aren’t even that---masters. Hippocampus tend to love their freedom and would rather be seen as an ally or friend than a pet. While it’s not unheard of for some to choose masters, it is just rare. They are incredibly loving and helpful though.
Appearance - They are a sight to behold. A hippocampus is incredibly beautiful, their skin colorful like a pastel rainbow that shimmers and shines in the light. They have fins and cannot move outside of water.
Powers/abilities -
[/u][/i]: Hippocampus are able to manipulate water to small degrees. They can create miniature whirlpools and waves if they wish. Underwater Breathing: Hippocampus can breathe underwater. Extraordinary Blood: Perhaps not as delicious or addicting as Unicorn blood, Hippocampus also have very delicious blood that is almost impossible for a creature to turn up. Unlike it’s cousin creature however, their blood does not turn something mad if they cannot get more. Drinking a Hippocampus’ blood gives someone the ability to breathe underwater. [/ul] Vulnerabilities - [/u][/i]: A Hippocampus can die if tons of damage is done to it. [/ul] History - N/A Alpha Spot - N/A[/blockquote][/div]

Characteristics - Though appearing as adorable frogs with wings, their appearance may fool you. Water Leaper’s are incredibly hostile little creatures that like to attack unsuspecting people near water. The creature's appearance alone is enough to strike victims dead, never mind the cringeworthy screech, or sudden gut-wrenching attacks of this flying toad-bat. As you can see, it has the legless body of a frog, a long creepy tail, and wings that would make a bat proud. The nasty, thrashing, tail has a stinger on the end which when piercing the body of something, locks on and is incredibly hard to pull free. When assaulting fishermen, its favored technique is to lurk below water, surge into flight, screech maniacally, snap the fishing line, then drag the terrified men to their deaths and consumption.
Appearance - Water Leapers appear to be frogs without hind legs and with bat-like wings. They are capable of bouncing along water with their wings, granting them the name Water Leaper. They can be anywhere from the size of a normal frog, to something of a tiny dog - anything larger is incredibly rare and almost unheard of.
Powers/abilities -
[/u][/i]: Water Leapers can live in and out of water. Flight: Water Leapers wings are capable of giving the creature flight. Stinger: Water Leapers have large stingers that are hooked and have small serrated edges, when jammed into something it is hard to pull out and even harder to do so without causing much more harm. Deafening Shriek: Their shrieks can briefly deafen people and cause lasting hearing damage. Supernatural Strength: Despite their size, they are rather strong and can drag people down to the ground or underwater. [/ul] Vulnerabilities - [/u][/i]: Water Leapers can be killed easily. The issue usually is them catching people by surprise, or - much worse - swarming. [/ul] History - N/A Alpha Spot - N/A[/blockquote][/div]

Characteristics - Perhaps one of the oldest living creatures to still exist. The Zheng have been around since prehistoric times, they’ve lasted out through the Ice Age and are incredibly powerful beings. On the same rarity level of Phoenixes and Dragons, Zheng are not well known about and are often considered just myths or thought to be all dead. They are known to live at the top of mountains, having an incredible ability which allows them to live without breathing which makes them a target for witches who can use their fur for potions that grant the same effect. Many of the species also dwell within Antarctica and live within snow caverns they create and dive into the deep blue frozen sea. The Zheng do require flesh to consume, but do not require it to be human. They can survive off of animals, but it’s said once a Zheng has a taste of human, they have an insatiable hunger for human flesh; something similar to a Rugaru.
Appearance - Zheng are decent sized red panther like monsters that have black spots, differing from one to another. They have a horn protruding from their head, which they can use to attack. Instead of just one tail, the Zheng actually have five different tails which they use for incredible balance, they often move their tails in strange ways to confuse and distract their prey and enemies. They have incredibly sharp claws and fangs that have no problem slashing prey apart.
Powers/abilities -
[/u][/i]: Zheng are powerful creatures, much stronger than other animals and creatures. Supernatural Balance: Zheng have amazing balance and rarely can be knocked off their feet. Supernatural Speed: Zheng are fast creatures, able to move in blurs. Oxygen Independence: Zheng do not need to breathe oxygen and because of it they often populate tops of high mountains and can even survive underwater. Immortality: Zheng can potentially live forever. Invulnerability: Zheng are able to take incredible amounts of damage. [/ul] Vulnerabilities - [/u][/i]: Flames can successfully kill a Zheng. [/ul] History - N/A Alpha Spot - N/A[/blockquote][/div]

When an Ammit devours a body it eats it whole, leaving nothing behind. However, when it consumes the heart of a person; it forces their spirit to not be able to move on and become restless forever. Because of this, the spirits become linked to the Ammit and cannot be forced to move on until the Ammit is killed. Head Damage: When in it’s true form, an Ammit can be decapitated or have it’s brain injured with something gold and it will kill it. It’s Heart: An Ammit’s weakness is it’s own heart. Another way to kill is by salting and burning it’s heart, releasing any spirits bound to the creature.
