Abilities
-Night Vision - As a cat, she can see in the dark almost as perfectly as a human can see in the day.
-Tranformation - She has three different forms:
• Humanoid. - This is her main form, one she takes on in her day to day life. In this form, her guard is way down so it is easy to get the jump on her. Beware though, she is rather quick and light on her feet.
• Cat form. - She will transform into this when the sun sets as she loves to prowl around the forests or city streets in the safety of this form. Though, she will admit to hating Fleas.
• God form. - This is when she has the head of either a lion or a domestic cat. This is her most powerful form so she rarely uses it.
• The god form comes with inhuman strength along with instincts of both feline and god. Being a Devine Creature, most Demons will probably hate her.
- Sharp Claws and Teeth - These are what she would normally fight with other than a simple weapon as she didn't have any special offensive ability.
- Ancient Egyptian Art of Battle - She is very skilled with weaponry and hand-to-hand. With her feline flexibly, she is able to use these reflexes to get the upper hand.
- Speaking and Communicating with Cats - She is able to speak and understand all breeds of cat whether it been a common house cat or a Jaguar in the jungle.
- Cat Sense - She is able to sense any and all feline species whether it is an animal or creature. She has a deep affinity with them, as well, making them drawn to her. She will often "ask for permission" to pet almost every feline she meets whether it be awkward or not.

As the humans called her for thousands of years, she has become the very being they wanted her to be. She is as temperamental as a female cat, as well as developed all their instincts over the years. Bast protects those that cannot protect themselves, cares for children of all ages, and helps women who are in need of assistance. She is kind to those who deserve it, but will hiss an swat at those who don't or annoy her. It is best not to get on her bad side or they will have a very pissed off kitty on their hands.
She talks velvety smooth with a bit of an ancient accent that purrs with her speech. Often she is seen decorated in gold, scarab, and lapis, three very precious stones in Ancient Egypt. If someone were to steal from her or even harm one of her precious felines, she will hunt them down like the rat they are.

History:
In ancient times, Bastet (or Bast) was worshipped more by Lower Egypt as a Guardian of the Household and as one of the Protectors of Ra. She was always depicted as a female form with the head of a Lion or even a common House Cat. This brought upon the worship and protection of these animals, even pampering them. Often she would be at her father's side, riding across the night sky to bring the sun up in the morning and set at night. They were close and strong together, often going into battle against their enemies.
She became to be a part of the circle known as the "Eye of Ra," protector of Ra and destroyer of mankind before the circle of Goddesses were tricked with a beer that put them into a deep sleep. About 4000 years had passed, long as she been awake, suffering from a hungover state from the beer. After a few more centuries, the hangover faded, leaving the Cat Goddess in a daze as she would have to adjust to the millennia that passed and acquire a taste for more current times.
Traveling the world, she lived through the Renaissance of Italy, the Dark Ages of England, and the Victorian age of all Europe. She blended in with the humans, disappearing from sight ever decade to keep them all from being suspicious of why she never aged. She would transform herself into a cat and slip away into the night, settling down in different parts of the globe. She had even revisited her home country of Egypt even fifty years, watching as the sands overtook her homeland and the human desecrating the tombs of the departed Kings of Egypt. There was nothing she could do but watch and steer them away from the lost tombs of her family.
As more modern times settled in, she adjusted to blending in so well that she was able to steer even hunters off her trail. Then again, she never caused any trouble to get them on her tail in the first place. Most didn't realize she even existed. With the present times, she took it upon herself to rescue felines that littered the streets, taking them in and caring for them until she found them good homes. Eventually, she had opened her own shelter for the forgotten cats, a safe haven for feral, stray, abandoned, and even those with homes could come and curl up in their Goddess's lap.
It was only a matter of time that her identity would be recognized, but the mystery is of who would figure her out.

"I trust you will take good care of her as she is with child." She spoke to the kind older lady that held one of her pregnant cats in her arms with gentle care. The woman just smiled, rubbing the cat down gently and lovingly, the cat purring away at the affection the woman was giving her. "If you wish for assistance of the birth, just come back here and I will help with the delivery." The woman gave a nod, slipping cat into a carrier that had soft blankets and a small pillow on the bottom. "Take care and do visit soon." She spoke with a nod as the little old lady left the shelter with carrier in hand.
Another successful adoption and it seemed that the feline was happy with her new caregiver which was always something Bast looked out for. She was careful with the decisions, making sure the owner knew just what they were getting into with owning a cat and made sure they were a proper fit for the animal. Caution was never taken lightly in her eyes, and was very important when choosing the right human for the right animal.
Cleaning up the paperwork, she felt soft fur brush against her leg, bringing a gentle smile to her lips as she gazed down at the Siamese that was asking for her attention. Lifting the male cat to the countertop, she rubbed his back ever softly, speaking in soft tones. "Yes, I am aware that there is trouble outside these walls." She spoke as it seemed the cat was trouble by the height of energy that flowed through the atmosphere. It made even the hairs on Bast's neck stand on end as she could sense the underlines of a battle. It was foreign yet familiar as it had been a long while since she felt this kind of energy.
"No need to fret, darling, you are safe within these walls. I am sure you and the others are all on edge, but I assure you that you all will not be harmed." She spoke in a purr to calm the stressed cat upon the countertop. "Go inform the others that there is nothing to fear for I will take care of you all." Bast gave the male a light, reassuring smile before stepping aside to let him do just that only to step to the large window that looked upon the city streets. "I just hope I can protect myself from what is out there...." She whispered, troubled by height in energy.
