The first fifteen years of Jenna's life were pretty ordinary. Normal house, normal family, normal friends... nothing particularly significant, though there were random small events that didn't really stand out at the time but now, looking back, she would swear that there was a supernatural force working for her, most likely her own natural talent for witchcraft. More than a few times Jenna had wished for something only for it to actually happen (such as wishing tomorrow would be a snow day so she could stay home from school, or wishing she had a kitten only to have a stray show up on her front porch that very evening). Of course, at the time, Jenna wasn't aware of the supernatural and she chalked it up to coincidence.
It was the summer before her Sophomore year that Jenna met Aaron Bradford through a mutual friend and they hit it off instantly.. He didn't attend her school but once summer was over they still spent a lot of time together on the weekends and got to know one another during the week through phone calls and texting. After about six months they began dating and by the time she was in her Junior year and Aaron was a Senior, things were pretty serious. After a year together, Jenna knew that she was in love. He was the one and she couldn't be happier.
It was the night of Aaron's Senior Prom that everything changed. The night was perfect, right out of a fairy tale. Perfect dress, perfect date, perfect everything. Jenna didn't even mind that this was a dance for a school that she didn't attend so she only knew the few people she had met through Aaron... Tonight, there was only him. There was only the two of them and this perfect night.
That is until out of nowhere, in the middle of a romantic slow song, one of the tuxedo-clad students pulled out a pistol and started shooting. He didn't seem to be aiming at anyone in particular... just killing whoever happened to be in the path of the bullet. Panic ensued, students screaming and scrambling for a hiding place or the exits. Aaron grabbed Jenna's hand while the gunman's back was turned and pulled her under the refreshment table, the long, blue tablecloth obscuring them from view.
Still, she couldn't resist peering out from under her hiding space, catching a glimpse of the gunman's ink black eyes. She nudged Aaron and brought it to his attention, but when Aaron looked out to see what she was referring to, the gunman spotted him and fired, hitting him in the shoulder. This shocked, frightened and angered Jenna and she turned an icy glare on the man, who had pointed the pistol at her. Suddenly, inexplicably, the gun heated up burning hot, startling him enough so that he dropped it. Jenna and Aaron used the distraction as an opportunity to escape.
After that night Jenna and Aaron became obsessed with the gunman's black eyes and strange behavior (not to mention the random way the gun just heated up in his hand). Aaron joined the local police force after graduation and through his job became even more aware of other strange crimes and happenings that couldn't be explained by anything ordinary. Over time, through research, experience, and interaction with other hunters, they uncovered the world of the supernatural. Aaron took up hunting on the side and Jenna became his research partner. She also took up any spellcrafting that was needed and came to realize her natural, powerful talent for witchcraft.
When Jenna was 21 she and Aaron were married. She loved planning her wedding so much that she ended up starting her own career as an event planner so that she could help others with their special day. It wasn't long before wedding planning turned into planning birthdays, office parties, family reunions... any sort of celebration. Over the next few years she and Aaron balanced their lives as hunters with their day jobs. When their sons Joel and Jonah were born, life became more joyful but also more stressful. Being active in the hunting world started to slow down in favor of raising their family.
Unfortunately, about a year and a half ago, Aaron and the boys were killed in a hit and run on their way back from picking up Joel and Jonah at daycare. Jenna was beside herself with grief, and for quite some time she kept to herself, refusing to speak to anyone. But the calls from other hunters didn't stop, and eventually Jenna realized that she was doing no one any good just laying in bed all the time. She knew that Aaron would want her to carry on their work... that she had knowledge and power that could potentially help other families have their happy endings, even if hers had escaped her.
Since then, Jenna has kept in touch with other hunters, doing whatever she can to assist them in the fight against the supernatural.

Annali had always prided herself on being resourceful. Research was one thing that she absolutely loved to do... learning new things, there was nothing like it. But this was a big deal. It was up to she and Bobby to figure out what the final seal was and if they failed... well that put the apocalypse in their hands. It was a LOT of pressure... and she was feeling it big time.
She stood in the kitchen waiting for the coffee pot to finish brewing, pulling down two large coffee cups from the cupboard. In the next room she could hear pages rustling and the occasional sigh that signified that Bobby was feeling just as stressed out as she was. Annali could only imagine what he was going through. She was still relatively new to all of this supernatural business... but Bobby had been at it for years and she imagined that he was beyond worn out from all of the fighting. She had a feeling that she would have been exhausted long ago if she had been through half of the things some of the hunters she had met had been.
The strong, sweet aroma of freshly-brewed coffee wafted through the air as she filled the two cups, stirring in a measured amount of sugar in both and a bit of milk in hers. She dropped the spoon into the sink and carried both steaming cups into the study, where Bobby sat at his desk in front of the computer and surrounded by stacks of books. She set one of the cups gently in front of him and grabbed up the whiskey bottle. "Sorry, Bobby. Need you on top of your game for this one," she said, a look of sincerity in her eyes. She didn't blame him for wanting to drown this one out with alcohol but they needed his mind 100% sharp.
After returning the whiskey bottle to the cabinet, she grabbed whatever book was on top of the stack and sat down in the worn leather chair, sighing softly as she opened it and began skimming the pages for anything that stood out that might tell them more about how to stop their impending doom.
