Full Name: Nathaniel Zane York
Nickname/Alias: Nate, Nathan, Zane, Big Red, Cousin Itt, Nateypoo (Isn't a big fan of that last one xD)
Age/Date Of Birth: 26; October 18th, 2018
Race: Human
Occupation: Hunter/Guard/Martial Arts Instructor
Species Group: Hunter
Play-By: Bartek Borowiec
Abilities
Kick-assery: The York twins are experts in combat, whether it’s hand to hand or using a wide variety of weapons. They have created many techniques that rely heavily on teamwork which can be a drawback when fighting alone. Since Nathan is a guard and away on missions a lot without his sister, he has his own fighting style that relies on quick strikes and evasive maneuvers to avoid capture. He is a formidable adversary and quite frankly a little scary when he is fighting (like his mother is XD), and will not hesitate to go in for the kill if he feels his life or the life of those he is protecting is in danger. The twins are black belts in Judo, Karate and Jiu-jitsu and 1st Kyu in Kendo. They inherited the Judge from Zach at some point in the past, and Nathan will take the gun with him on missions or leave it with Gabby when stealth is important.
Languages: The twins can speak some Italian, Spanish and Japanese. The twins would communicate amongst themselves in Japanese if they didn’t want their nosy parents to overhear their plans for shenanigans. They now do so if they want to talk privately and have a good chance of not being understood by those around them, and are fluent enough to speak to others that know the language.
Planning: Nathan and his sister are very good at coming up with plans, much like their father was. They tend to think outside the box and possess a very powerful imagination. This ability is what helped them survive until they were able to find the group of survivors they fight with now.
First Aid Knowledge: Grampa Zachy taught Alessandra quite a bit about first aid, and she passed this down to her children. Nathan is able to stitch and patch him or others up if he has to. He can also identify different injuries and how to treat them at least until he can get to his witchy sister.
Teaching: Nathan is an excellent teacher and quite enjoys it, especially teaching others his knowledge about Martial Arts. In general though, he is more than willing to share information with others about everything he knows when it comes to hunting and other subjects.
Movement Prediction: First and foremost, Nathan cannot see the future or read minds. However, he is incredibly adept at reading body language in a fight. The slightest movement of the hip can tell him that the person he’s fighting is going for a kick to his rib cage. Or the shoulder can let him know the person plans to punch him in the face. He uses his peripheral vision as well to watch certain parts of the body for signs of attack, and of course it isn’t a 100% accurate ability. This is something that has taken a lot of practice over the years and comes as second nature to Nathan.

Personality: The product of a kind and caring home filled with love (albeit tough love sometimes), Nathan is generally a nice person. He has a strong sense of family and protecting those in need, and also knows that ‘family’ doesn’t just stop at blood relations. He cares a lot about the people in the resistance group and will do anything to help them, even if he can sound quite harsh at times. With a strong thirst for knowledge, it isn’t uncommon for Nathan to end up annoying people with a lot of questions so he can get a good grasp of the situation around him. Also while he doesn’t question orders often, he will if he feels it’s necessary.
Nathan is fiercely protective of his twin sister, almost to the point of being overbearing at times especially when it comes to guys. It’s not that he doesn’t want her to have a boyfriend, but she has a tendency to go after guys that don’t deserve her. And although he knows that she hates it when he has to go out on missions, he’s extremely grateful that she usually stays at base. However they are very close and he doesn’t like being away from her for too long.
Nathan is an incredibly hard worker and he’ll be the last to complain about being too tired or injured to carry on. In fact, he will say it’s no biggie and likely keep going until he collapses from blood loss or exhaustion, gee wonder who that sounds like?

On the other hand, when Nathan knows he has some downtime, he enjoys hanging out and chatting with others. He will seek out people to chat with, because being left alone will lead to him thinking about his situation and dwell on things too much. His sense of humor is a bit on the sarcastic side, or he’ll poke a bit of harmless fun at someone. He doesn’t take it too far most of the time, but when he does he feels bad about it and will apologize profusely. Nathan doesn’t have much of clue when it comes to woman. With how good he is at analyzing an enemy’s movements in a fight, he is oblivious to the signs that someone is crushing on him. His sister would more than likely have to point it out to him.
Nathan strives to keep a cool head in any situation, knowing that losing himself to anger will only hamper his abilities. Of course he has his limits, and since the death of his dad and Zach his patience is nowhere near where it used to be and he can have flare ups of that pesky Italian temper.

History: On the rainy morning of October 18th, 2018 Alessandra couldn’t possibly have been more nervous. Even after all the books she read and the preparations they had made, she still felt unprepared when Lyle rushed her to the hospital after her water had broken. Especially since they would not only have one child to care for, but TWO little babies. Of course her amazing husband gave her strength, words of encouragement and a hand to squeeze…surprisingly, no bones were broken. Then later that day they welcomed their first two beautiful children into the world. Nathan was born first, which would lead to him reminding Gabby through the years that he was indeed the oldest.
Nathan hardly fussed or got upset, unless he was hungry or needed a diaper change and honestly Gabby was fussy enough for the both of them. The new parents were used to lack of sleep to a certain extent since they were hunters, but that couldn’t prepare them for having two newborn babies awake at all hours of the night/day. They greatly loved their children, even when they started getting mobile and getting into EVERYTHING. Seriously, if they were quiet for 10 seconds Alessa and Lyle knew they were up to no good. It was only a prelude to what this dynamic duo would put their parents through in years to come.
When they were three years old, Nathan noticed that his mommy was getting…bigger. He would poke her belly half a dozen times and ask why mommy’s belly was sticking out like that, and she told him that it was a baby. When he asked how a baby got in there, mommy got a funny look on her face and didn’t really answer for some reason. Gabby put the idea into his head that their neighbor was actually overcome with multiple babies and Nathan began to worry about his mommy. Then one day they stayed with Grampa Zachy while mommy and daddy went to the hospital, and then they returned with a baby! Just one this time!
Nathan loved his baby sister Marcie even though she cried a lot and enjoyed making funny sounds and faces at her to get her to laugh and coo. Nathan had no fear at all and enjoyed jumping off of and climbing all over everything. Scraped knees, elbows and bruises were a normal thing to see on him while his parents wished they had ¼ of that energy. He also liked to find creepy crawly bugs to creep his sister out with and climb trees…or at least try to when Lyle and Alessa weren’t calling for him to get down from there. Grampa Zachy was a big part of their lives and would often come over to visit or discuss hunting business with mom and dad. They, quite frankly, drove the old guy crazy a lot of the time and most of his new gray hairs could be attributed to them. However he loved all of them dearly and they managed to break through his grumpy exterior.
When Nathan was 5, their mother was pregnant with another baby. Nathan really wanted to know where all these baby siblings kept coming from and how many they would end up having. He played a funny joke with his twin sis on Marcie about their mom going to the land of the balloon people and any day she would just float away to make her trip there. Of course she took it too seriously cried to mom, then dad had to yell at them for upsetting their sister. They just wanted to have fun, but Nathan did apologize to Marcie and gave her a cookie he stole out of the kitchen. He was forgiven.
Nathan was so happy when Charlie was born, not only because there was finally another boy in the house but he was much quieter than Gabby and Marcie had been. You’d also think that he and his twin sister would be able to get away with more things since mom and dad had two younger babies to look after, but they didn’t…and that sucked. His mom once told him that she had eyes in the back of her head so he better behave. That must have been it! This however didn’t stop Nathan from planning things with his partner in crime.
At six years old the York family moved to Japan and Nathan couldn’t have been more excited. They moved there so the twins could learn from a sensei that was from a group of old family friends that Alessa knew when she lived in Japan. They were also enrolled into a martial arts class and Nathan had such a great time and constantly wanted to learn more. They also went to a Japanese Elementary school and you can imagine how easily two red headed American children stuck out. Now up to this point, Nathan never had a haircut…not even a trim. He would scream bloody murder whenever someone would try and his parents finally gave up, so he had very long hair. His sister came up with the idea to trade locks of their hair for candies and things, and Nathan hesitantly agreed.
He only did it a couple times though, because he just really liked his hair. This may have had something to do with a lot of girls wanting to touch his hair, and while they seemed nervous at first the girls would end up giggling and scampering away after a moment. Nathan didn’t understand why they wanted to touch his hair, maybe because of what his sister told everyone…but then why did they run away? Well eventually the gig was up and the twins ended up getting grounded even though it wasn’t even his idea, oh well. The twins loved Japan and excelled in their martial arts classes, and even got a good grasp of the language…better than Alessa and Lyle did. They even found out they could make sneaky plans right in front of their dad using key Japanese words, but that was quickly stopped once he found out.
A year after they returned to the US, Alessa found out she was pregnant with another baby. The parents were very happy, but then he overheard his mom and dad talking about a ‘vice tummy’ or something like that so there wouldn’t be any more babies. Nathan was bound and determined to find out about this baby stuff one day. So they welcomed Lillian into the world, and even though it was another girl baby Nathan was very happy. His mom and dad always told him and his sister to watch out for their younger siblings and they did, growing very protective of them. Nathan loved being the big brother and even though he would lightly tease his younger siblings, no one else better do it or there would be problems.
The next adventure the Yorks went on was a trip to Florence, Italy the place where Alessa was born. Nathan loved it there and thought everything looked so cool, even the Uffizi Gallery was cool for just being filled with old paintings. The bakery that Grandpa Marcello owned was awesome because you could look in and see things being made right in front of you, and also the history behind it was interesting. One of the things he loved the most though was the pizza, it was so good! That’s about all that him and his dad ate there, even though his mom insisted that there was other really good food to eat too. When he wasn’t stuffing his face, Nathan was keeping an eye on Gabby because she kept looking at some dude from afar. He was kind of sad to leave Italy, but happy to go home…he would miss the pizza, and other stuff too of course.
Sometime after returning home, the family went on vacation in Salem. It was an interesting place with many shops and people and of course, new things to learn and explore which was his favorite thing to do. One day his sister dared him to jump from the top of a flight of stairs all the way to the ground, and when he hesitated she whipped out the dreaded ‘double dog dare’. So of course, Nathan HAD to do it and there was no way he’d let his sister get the one up on him. He remembers hitting the ground and feeling immense pain in his leg and some in his arm, then everything up until he got to the hospital was a blur. He just remembers hearing voices of doctors and his parents epically scolding Gabby…he didn’t blame her though and told her she didn’t need to apologize when she tried to.
The break was pretty bad and it looked like he could end up walking with a limp for the rest of his life, so Lyle called in Lily to help with the healing process. He could tell that his sister was very interested in this healing stuff and figured it would come in handy given the shenanigans they ended up getting into. While he recovered he also met Merrick Blackthorne when she dropped off more supplies and enjoyed talking to her. She really liked his long hair and on more than one occasion, Nathan would wake up to her braiding it which honestly he didn’t mind.
Like their mother at 17, the twins started to hunt with their parents and Zach. Their first case was hunting something called a ‘pishtaco’ with Alessa. Nathan swore it was ‘fish taco’ but Gabby insisted that it was actually ‘pistachio’ and he went along with it despite their mothers constant correction. Then their second case was a werewolf with Zachy and Lyle, where they would howl at the moon and claim to be ‘Team Edward’. They thought it was hilarious but they very nearly got whacked upside the head by Zach more than once.
They hunted a laundry list of different monsters and were a scary duo to be reckoned with indeed. They attacked as one cohesive unit and Alessa thought it was pretty impressive and also a bit scary, while Lyle and she wondered what they had unleashed onto the world. xD Things were going fantastic and suddenly everything went to shit. A guy named Cyrus was rising up wanting power of all things. The twins were in New York visiting Zach’s mom and sister when they witnessed a section of New York being attacked by Cyrus and his army. They didn’t know what was going on, but the twins knew they needed to help out so they rushed out into the streets. Doing what they could, Gabby ended up getting shot while Nathan tried his best to hold off the enemy. It was looking like they wouldn’t make it when suddenly out of nowhere, Lyle and Zach appeared to help them.
They got the twins into a vehicle with other survivors who were escaping much to their protest, but the veteran hunters weren’t hearing it. As they drove off Nathan stared out the back window and right at an explosion where his dad and Zach had been standing moments before. He couldn’t believe what was happening, two of the most important people in his life were now gone. Numb with grief, the twins return to their mother and younger siblings to try and survive. It’s then that they find out that the rebellion was in the works for quite some time but they weren’t expecting it to happen like this. The execution of Dean and Sam Winchester is broadcast on TV for the world to see, so they know what is in store for those that stand against Cyrus. Usually calm under pressure, Nathan could feel an anger rising inside of him that he had yet to feel in his life. However, he knew that protecting his family came first and it was what his dad would want the twins to do, so they stayed with a group of refugees in an abandoned building.
One day the twins were out to scavenge for supplies when the place they were staying was raided by the militia. They returned to find that everyone was gone, signs of struggle but no bodies were around. Again, Nathan had to look on helplessly as his family was taken from him. The twins wandered the streets, utterly hopeless at this point when they came across an old friend of their dads, Damon Jones. Damon gave them two choices: They could go to Alaska which was rumored a safe place or they could head to DC to some place where some rebels were gathering under some guy named Ethan Sullivan. There was no way they could choose anything other than heading to DC, so they could fight against the bastard that destroyed their lives and so many others.
It would be a difficult journey, but with a little prayer they enlisted the help of Revan, another great friend of their parents. As they were crossing the state line a patrol of the militia attacked them. Revan was able to poof both twins to safety but, Damon had to stay behind. He was probably taken but, the twins never found out his actual fate. They headed to the place where they knew they could fight against Cyrus and joined the ranks of this rebellion. They were assigned jobs; Gabby was to be a medic using her knowledge of healing magic, and Nathan became a guard and teacher of the martial arts. Nathan put everything he had into doing his part to help out in the rebellion and desperately hoped that the rest of his family was still alive.
Suddenly the base was attacked and while Nathan ran down the halls to secure the area and find Gabby, he was suddenly somewhere else altogether. Where in the world could they be?

RP Sample: “Hey that’s it, you’re getting it!” A genuine grin spreads across Nathan’s face as he watches one of his martial arts students successfully block a punch to his abdomen after the tall redhead gave him some pointers. Surely getting hit in the stomach a moment ago because he didn’t react fast enough was also proper motivation for getting it right the second time. “Then after you block…counter with a punch of your own to a vulnerable point on the body.” He motions for the student to throw a punch his way, which he expertly blocks then quickly moves his other fist to the side of his neck but stopping when it’s a half inch away. If he wasn’t in teaching mode right now, he could have chuckled at the look on the poor kids face. Nathan nods once to ask if he understands and the student returns the nod, then the young hunter raises his voice slightly so the others can hear.
“Alright as always, remember NOT to actually make contact with ‘knock out points’ when live sparring. That’s what the dummies are for…” He looks at another student from across the room and raises an eyebrow, causing the girl to look away a bit embarrassed. Nathan’s expression softens into a smile, because he wanted her to know it was alright…she was still learning, and honestly Nathan thought she had some potential. As he watches over the students practicing, his mind starts to wander a bit. He thought of his family, but really when didn’t he think of them? The best that he and Gabby could hope for was that they were merely captured and not…Nathan clenches his jaw a bit, unable to complete that thought as a painful sensation grips his chest.
His family was strong, they had to be alright. They just had to be. Feeling sorry for himself and hopeless wasn’t helping them get free, was it? No. He willed himself to come out of his dark thoughts, then hazel eyes fall onto the clock and he claps his hands once together. “That’s class for the day. Stay safe, everyone!” He wills a small smile on his face as he watches everyone leave, then after tidying up the room he heads into the hallway with long strides and moves his extremely long hair over his shoulder. After thinking about his family, he felt a strong urge to find his sister and see how she was doing because in this new shit world they were there for each other.
He decides to poke his head into the room they share and smiles a little when he sees Gabby. “Sis, I—whoa!” All he sees is a flash of red and suddenly he is on the ground, Gabby hugging him tightly. She sure could be fast when she wanted to be. Feeling a bit breathless from getting the wind knocked out of him, he hugs her back and chuckles a bit at what she says. “Heyyy, Topolino.” After she lets him go, Nathan stands up and looks at her with his signature grin. However, when it appears that Gabby has been crying, he immediately looks concerned and furrows his brows. “Are you okay? Just tell me who to beat up, and consider it done.” He shows a faint smile, wanting to make his ‘younger’ sister feel better.
