Personality: Claire is independent and quick to act as well as quick to come to her own conclusions. That doesn't mean her mind can't be changed, but she's extremely stubborn and will usually put up a fight when she's set her mind on something. That being said, Claire has very little patience and would rather barge into a situation guns blazing than sit back and make plans.  When it comes to hunting, she doesn't like to show any sort of fear.  Fear is a weakness that monsters will exploit at any given opportunity.

In fact, she doesn't like to show a vulnerable side at all, really.  On the outside, she seems to know exactly what she's doing and have it all together.  But on the inside, she's usually terrified.  She's already lost so much, and knowing how dangerous the world really is is what gives her the motivation to fight as hard as she can.  If something happens to her... fine.. As long as she goes down fighting.  But she doesn't want to lose anyone else she loves.

Claire often tries to cover up any real display of feelings with blunt sarcasm.  And she can really hold a grudge...

History: Claire grew up in a faithful household… church every Sunday, prayers before every meal and at bedtime. She was a quiet, reserved, obedient girl who followed in the footsteps of her very devout father.

But there came a time around Claire’s middle school years when her father started acting strangely. It wasn’t something she saw a lot of herself, but she did witness her parents arguning quite a bit over his odd behavior. She remembers eavesdropping on the two of them and hearing her mother beg him to seek help only for him to claim that he had been called to a higher service by Heaven. She still remembers following him out onto the front lawn that evening… the day he was possessed by the angel Castiel… calling out for him only for him to look back at her and say that he wasn’t her father before walking away.

The next several months were difficult. Claire had to grow up faster than she should have, because her mother was distraught and, though she tried her best, her heartbreak over the loss of Jimmy was overwhelming and sometimes Amelia just seemed to shut down. Claire took it upon herself to take care of her mom more than her mom took care of her, really.

Eventually, less than a year later, her father showed back up on their doorstep after the angel had been sent from his body to Heaven, claiming that he had renounced all that had happened with Castiel and that he was back for good, putting his holy quest behind him. Unfortunately, their family reunion was short-lived, when demons possessing their neighbors attacked them and forced them to run. It became apparent that these demons weren’t going to leave Jimmy alone, even without him acting as Castiel’s host. Eventually the angel was forced to occupy Claire’s body in order to save Jimmy, and Jimmy begged with Castiel to take him instead of his daughter. Jimmy walked away from his family for the second time that night.

Her mother wasn’t able to accept this, and just days later sent Claire to live with her elderly grandmother so that she could go in search of her husband. Claire’s grandmother passed away a couple of years later, and Claire ended up in foster care. Loss and betrayal caused her to start acting out, and she started getting in trouble and being passed from family to family, building up a reputation for being a rebellious troublemaker.

Eventually her time in foster care led her to meet Krissy Chambers, who she came to find out was the daughter of a hunter who had been killed by a vampire. The two bonded quite easily and by the time they were about 16 and could drive they were taking on the supernatural world as hunting partners.

One particular case led them to meet a young man named Ben in the hospital after figuring out that he and his mother had been attacked. When Ben mentioned that the demon had been looking for someone named Dean, Claire and Krissy considered it a possibility that there could be a connection to Dean Winchester, a hunter they both knew. Ben seemed like a guy who wanted… needed answers, and Claire understood and respected that, inviting him to travel with the two of them. Their duo was now a trio.

Tom hadn't been to his father's grave since the funeral, despite the fact that the family mausoleum was on the grounds of Wayne Manor. He had a hard time dealing with Bruce's death, but didn't want to admit so to anyone, including himself. In fact, for the last few months, he had sort of been in that state of mind that maybe if he ignored the problem, it would go away. Maybe if he didn't acknowledge the fact that his dad was really gone, it wouldn't be true.

But of course, despite his eagerness to forget, he couldn't. He knew that the world was going to keep turning despite the fact that Batman was no longer there to protect it. Gotham was still going on without him. Jax and Freddy were trying to do their part to help keep the streets safe, and what was he doing? Absolutely nothing. At least nothing that anyone could see. He knew that he had a responsibility here. He knew that he had to carry on his father's legacy... but he felt so lost.

The door of the mausoleum stood ajar to allow a bit of the afternoon sunlight to permeate the interior. Tom had taken off his sunglasses and hooked them onto the front of his shirt, and now he stood there staring at the plaque on the wall that indicated where Bruce was buried. He stared at it for a long couple of minutes before letting out a heavy sigh, "Hey... Dad..."

His eyes dropped to the floor as he ran his hand through his hair, trying to figure out what he even wanted to say. "So I guess if what people think is true... you've probably been looking down on me. And you're probably pissed as hell...

"But it's not my fault, Dad. I wasn't prepared for this. You were supposed to stick around for us. You were supposed to be here to help me through this shit. I know that I'm supposed to carry on the mantle, but I can't, Dad. I'm not you. I'm not strong enough..."

He looked back up at his father's name on the plaque and swallowed, a couple of tears sliding slowly down his face, his shoulders dropping a little and his voice softening. "You weren't supposed to leave me like this..."
