Abilities
Due to her bloodline, Lori has a talent for witchcraft. However, at this time she does not believe in it and is completely untrained. She isn't aware that it even exists.
She also has an unrealized 'gift' of life draining. This isn't an ability that she has yet come into but the idea is that Lori can drain the life from any living thing. It's actually more of a life transferance. Draining the life or energy from another living being actually helps to heal and rejuvenate her, keeping her young and healthy.
At first, the life draining ability will be uncontrolled, triggered by negative emotions such as anger or sadness or fear. When Lori is touching someone or something that is living (such as a plant or animal) and she is feeling a dark emotion, that beings life force will slowly start to drain away. Eventually she will learn to have more control over this, and there will come a time when she won't even need to be touching them. A dark mood could easily make living things around her become ill or weak just by being near her.

Personality: Lori is active and adventurous and likes to be in the middle of the action, or, better yet, she likes to be the one to discover it in the first place. She doesn't exactly go looking for trouble but she does like pushing her limits and boundaries to see just how much she can get away with. If she has even a suspicion that there may be something interesting around the corner, she wants to explore it and will usually try to recruit a friend or two to do so with her with little to no regard to whatever rules have been set in place. Again, she doesn't set out just to break the rules but sometimes she just can't be bothered with them, especially if she feels they hold her back. Sometimes rather than outright breaking the rules she may look for a loophole to get around them.
When she has time to herself she is often sketching fashion ideas or sewing some new design of hers. She is constantly playing with ideas and loves reading fashion magazines or checking our the best and worst dressed lists. Lori enjoys watching red carpet events on television and is constantly taking notes on the ever-changing styles in the fashion world and adapting her designs as needed.
Lori often begrudgingly helps run her mother's shop. It's not something she's interested in and definitely not something she believes in. In fact, she thinks all of the 'new age' stuff is just plain weird, but she loves her mom and does it to make her happy. She also tries to take care of her mom by helping her stay organized and making sure she doesn't forget important details such as appointments, phone numbers, cooking ingredients, etc.

History:
As far as Lori knows, her mother Lily is the only parent who has ever been in her life. She was adopted as a baby and has grown up very close to her mom. Although she is aware that Lily isn't her birth mother, she has never made any efforts nor has she shown any interest in learning about the people she came from. After all, it's her adoptive mother who has raised her and shaped her into the person she is today and, as far as Lori is concerned, blood has nothing to do with it.
All her life it's been just Lori and her Mom together and the two of them have formed a bond that makes them more like best friends or sisters than mother and daughter. Lily has always treated Lori with a lot of trust and respect because she raised her to be responsible and to follow whatever rules or guidelines she set forth for her. Lori always did her best to make sure she followed her mother's rules, knowing that they were put in place for a reason (and also not wanting to cause her mother any undue stress), but sometimes curiosity or boredom would get the best of her and she would try to find ways around the rules.
When Lori was twelve she became interested in fashion after curling up on the sofa with some popcorn and watching the Golden Globes with her mom. It was the gorgeous gowns that caught her eye and she immediately started designing her own. At thirteen she took an elective Home Ec class and learned how to sew. For her fourteenth birthday her mom gave her the best sewing machine that they could afford along with other supplies befitting of a seamstress. Lori almost never goes anywhere without it.

RP Sample: Emma wasn't sure she would ever get used to this new life of hers. Honestly, she hoped she would never have to. Never in a million years would she have ever thought that encountering angels would give her a reason to feel like she needed to enroll in the witness protection program. Angels were meant to watch over you... to keep you safe. They were meant to nurture and care for you. They were the ultimate beings of good... of pure light. But apparently... everything she had ever known about angels was wrong.
She cast a nervous glance around and tugged the hood up on the sweatshirt she wore as she turned to push the grocery cart down another aisle. The store had plenty of security cameras and she wanted to do everything she could to keep her face obscured from view. Her blue eyes scanned the wide selection of cereal as she slowly moved down the aisle, but her thoughts were elsewhere. They were on the poor, innocent lives who had all been made to suffer at her own hands. Sure, it wasn't her mind or heart controlling her body, but that didn't help matters for her. Even though she had been forced into a subconscious state while the archangel Sariel had possessed her, she was still very much aware of what was going on. She could still see the battered and bloody bodies and the terrified look in the eyes of every victim.
Suddenly Emma turned and doubled over, clutching her stomach, her skin going pale as she felt that morning's breakfast start to rise to the surface. She kept one hand on the handle of the shopping cart as she closed her eyes, trying to relax her breathing... vomiting on the grocery store floor was not on her list of things to do today...
