Full Name: Wayden
Nickname/Alias: The Slayer
Age/Date Of Birth: 50
Race: Human
Occupation: Hunter, Defender of Camelot

Abilities
Wayden was granted magical abilities by his wife, Ester. Ester granted Wayden her bloodlines abilities through a ritual, in a unique brand of magic that is split into two sub-types. The Light and The Darkness, all controlled by special hand sigils done in different hands. Wayden has taken to favoring the Light, after seeing the effects that the Darkness can have on another person.
He is also naturally enhanced in a number of ways fromt he magical rite he went through;
Magical Sense: Wayden can naturally detect magic in his vicinity and determine whether or not is is black magic.
Super Strength: His strength is slightly beyond that of a normal human, though doesn't match up to most creatures, he's simply able to overpower most humans
Superhuman Stamina: It takes significantly more effort for Wayden to exhaust himself
Superhuman Agility: The most obvious aspect of Wayden's magical enhancements is the agility, moving quickly and effortlessly, with a strange grace to him that is hard to explain.
Wayden's Sword, 'Loyalty': Wayden's sword is magically enchanted. Despite its size, it is surprisingly light and easy to wield, as well as nearly indestructible. His sword is also able to channel the magic type that Wayden is presently using - when using The Light, the runes and blade on his sword will glow orange. When using the Darkness, it will leak black and dark green smoke with the ability to channel his abilities through it.
Left Hand - The Light
The Light is the use of good energy and life in order to protect and fight with others, needing no physical harm to oneself barring Sacrifice. It allows Wayden to create limited constructs, shoot bolts of energy, protect and heal others all while becoming something of a paladin of energy and protection. In order to use this power, Wayden must be able to find an inner peace and meditate on its use.

Energy Constructs: Wayden is able to focus orange energy into forms and shapes, including beams, weapons, bolts of light, and physical constructs like nets and arms, shields and other forms. When given increased focus on their potency, Wayden can generate light constructs so strong that they can cause vampires pain and kill some creatures that can't enter the sunlight.
Light Generation: Wayden can generate light from his hands and body in order to see with a hand signal, create orbs of light, and even blind enemies.
Healing: Wayden can focus the energy he creates through his spell to heal himself and others, his palms will glow and the area around the wound will as well as it heals, with a warm feeling. The more serious the injury, the more taxing this ability is to use.
Sacrifice: In extreme cases where healing isn't enough, Wayden is able to give portions of his souls energy in order to save another person. This can bring someone back from the brink of death, and possibly even from death itself if Wayden gives enough of himself to do so. The overuse of this will cause Wayden to die. Even a single use of it will put Wayden in a comatose state, with the risk of dying.
Teleportation: Wayden can teleport short distances in flashes of orange light.
Right Hand - The Darkness
The Darkness is a set of abilities Wayden has only ever tapped into once, and does not intend to touch again. Those who use the Darkness are known to be able to access very powerful black magic, but it also makes them become more susceptible to the temptation of delving deeper into that dark place, causing them to become a Mokoi. Every spell used of this side of Wayden's magic also requires a sacrifice of some sort, the potency of the spell being fully based on the blood price Wayden is willing to pay in order to use it.

Draining: The primary use of the Darkness is to drain life forces from other living beings in a painful manner. This is accomplished by Wayden having to cut his hand and signaling his hand in a certain way. This will make his hand and forearm cover in black veins, and the wound will begin to drip black good. This ability is very painful for Wayden to use, but can make him stronger from the energy he manages to drain.
Poison: By making a certain hand motion after cutting his hand, Wayden can create a toxic black smoke and send it flying out like a steam vent from his palm. This poison is meant to cause pain and paralysis in most cases, but is occasionally lethal.
Cursing: By coming into physical contact with someone while accessing the darkness, Wayden has the ability to curse them in a way that causes them great pain or misfortune, this can be healed by The Light or removed by other equally powerful magic.
Black Magic: Wayden has access to a variety of different types of black magic like necromancy and rituals while using the Darkness to very advanced degrees, but they require him to pay a significant blood price.
Biokinesis: By cutting up his arm and making a certain hand motion, Wayden can painfully manipulate the body of the user in a variety of ways, even going so far as to cause organ failure.
Teleportation: When accessing the darkness, Wayden's teleportation changes and he will instead fall away into black goo.

Personality:
Wayden is a reserved and lonely man, but not because he hates being around people - quite the opposite, in fact. Wayden is distant from others simply because he is haunted by his past and recent events. There was a time where Wayden was a much different man - the things he did, he is not proud of, and he felt like, for a time, he was beginning to atone for them, only for that to be shaken. Again, he tried to atone for even more, and again it was shaken. He's had the rug pulled out from under him so many times that he isn't even sure if he should try anymore, but the selflessness that has been instilled in him by embracing The Light has caused him to try none the less, in the memory of the family - and now the kingdom - that he has lost. He lives for them, and fights so no one has to experience what he has felt again and again.
Despite being shaped by war and loss, Wayden has grown to be a kind and selfless man. He cares deeply for all living creatures, those that don't needlessly harm others of course. When exploring the woods or otherwise in nature, one will be able to see the Slayer walking with a light step, ensuring he avoids disturbing the woods with his presence. He's also been noted to care for small animals he comes across, everything from birds to abandoned bear cubs he has met in the woods. He wears a bleeding heart on his sleeve, and it's just becoming more and more clear as he gets older than he doesn't have a bad bone in his body.

History:
Wayden doesn't like to think about his early days. They haunt him.
Taken in by a group of traveling warriors in Africa, in a time Wayden can't even put a date to, after being taken during a raid by those men, Wayden was raised to kill. He was good at this. He would kill, maim, torture and burn down homesteads from as young as ten years old, but he never truly realized what he was doing was... wrong. He was just doing what he was raised to do. It wasn't until, as a young man, he moved in on the home of a reported witch with some of his comrades that he realized the error in his ways.
The European Witch, Ester, and her daughter Weiss were prepared for such an attack. Wayden's comrades were taken down with ease, but Wayden... well, he was stubborn. He didn't stop, even when they hit him with bolts of fire and energy until he was, finally, subdued by Ester summoning chains and chaining him to a tree nearby while his friends fled. They never came back for him, scared by the witches.
He'd be chained to this tree for weeks to come. An awkward arrangement, but Ester revealed that, despite the fact that she would have been totally justified in doing so, had been talked out of simply killing him and each of his friends by her daughter. The young girl, no more than seven, had managed to convince her mother to spare them - despite attacking them. This confused Wayden, why she would do that, and the concept of mercy that was given to him. Still, he remained chained to that tree for a very long time. Ester didn't want to move him, and didn't explain why they kept him alive. Weiss would feed him and bring him water twice a day, but never speak to him. It took three weeks before Wayden would finally speak to them personally, and it was through that he learned the truth.
Weiss was a powerful psychic, who saw the future regularly, and she had told Ester that she must not, under any circumstance kill Wayden - but never explained why. She simply trusted her daughter's capabilities and kept this raider alive, despite wanting to protect her. There was often conversation following this, where Weiss and Ester would pull something else out of Wayden, making him begin to realize the error of his ways and how he had been living his life up until now. It all began to click - the horrible things that he had done were just that, horrible, no matter how much he might have wished to explain it off to himself as something that he had to do, or something that he was told to do - he had killed many people, despite being so young, and he was to be held accountable for that somehow, or he would have to atone for such a thing by doing the right thing. But even then, two months into his capture, when he admitted these things to Ester, she still would not trust him enough to release him. At this same time, he became very close to Weiss. She taught him to read, and would sit on his legs which rested on the ground and read from her mothers large collection of books to him before bed. It was his favorite time of day.
It took a lot of pain for Ester to finally trust Wayden, when their home was attacked by a group of creatures from the region and Weiss was taken. Ester, wounded, released Wayden's chains and screamed for him to come help her. He stopped the bleeding, but even with that she was in no state to be chasing her daughter down, and pleaded to Wayden to go after her, restoring him to physical health and removing the atrophy he had suffered from being chained to a tree. Wayden, of course, complied and retrieved his weapons that Ester had taken from him, chasing down the creatures across miles of open ground, until finally arriving at a cave. Weiss was still alive, they were saving her for something, and Wayden refused to let them have her.
He slew each and every one of them, his skill finally being turned to noble purpose, then took Weiss from her cage, put her on his back, and ran back in the direction of their home.
Ester was grateful to Wayden when she arrived, hugging Weiss, and then him, before telling him that, if he wished it, he was able to leave now. Instead, the young man stood there with his weapons, looked down at them, and then set them down against the tree he had been chained to, found a few blankets to lay out, and laid down without a word to get some sleep. He didn't want to leave, and he wouldn't.
He began working around Weiss and Ester's home, setting up a garden for them, hunting, keeping Weiss company while Ester worked on rituals, or retrieving needed components for Ester so that she would not need to leave Weiss - or, vice versa, keeping Weiss company while she needed to go get the components for spells. It was a good, simple life for a number of years, and somewhere along the line; Wayden and Ester fell in love, and had a child - Solara. With that love came an offer from Ester; to grant him a set of magical abilities in a ritual that was connected to her bloodline, giving him access to magical powers similar to her, as well as some increased physical attributes. With the protection of his family on his mind, Wayden agreed and Ester conducted the Rite of the Midwalker, a long ritual which resulted in Wayden receiving the magical blessings that he had now, as well as his increased physical prowess - but at the cost of a large chunk of Ester's own power, that she had to give up in order to give Wayden those same abilities, and made his eyes turn orange.
Wayden worked overtime to provide for his new family then, for years to follow, but that changed suddenly when they appeared within the boundaries of... another place, one day. Camelot.
They were welcomed into the village with open arms, the village welcomed more healers in the form of Ester and Weiss - while Solara was still young, and Wayden would offer his service to the crown as a protector of the village and the kingdom. It was like this for a few years, and he would come to befriend a number of the Knights of the Round Table, due to being a reliable defender, committing himself to hunting the creatures that would cause the kingdom problems. It was through this that another magic user in the village contacted a blacksmith about making a special sword for Wayden, which is where he received Loyalty.
He was seen as an example of a citizen of Camelot, and some people even had the feeling that he might work his way up to knighthood in the future due to his reliable service and exceptional skill.
Sadly, things took a sudden turn.
In the years since arriving in Camelot, Ester had changed in secret. After losing a large portion of her power in giving it to Wayden, she began to feel insecure. Having formerly been very strong, she was now in a place with the likes of Morgana and Merlin - she felt the need to compensate, and made a desperate bid. After associating briefly with a demon, she triggered The Darkness, and began tapping into it to increase her magical effectiveness. It was working... but she wanted more. And more. Eventually, she needed sacrifices, and she gave them willingly.
Even when they were her own daughter.
Solana and Wayden had returned from a hunt, Wayden having begun to train Solana in how to fight and defend herself, when he returned to find their family home a mess. Blood covered the floor, the walls, the ceiling... and in the middle of it all, was Weiss. The young woman he had seen grow from a young girl, who had been so close to him all these years. She was ripped apart, savagely and painfully. Just barely clinging to life... and standing over her was Ester. Or... what was left of Ester, rather.
Formless black smoke, wrapped around an elongated skeletal face.
Wayden wouldn't have recognized her, if it weren't for the necklace that she was still wearing. He ordered Solana to fetch help right away, and ran forward to attack the creature - his wife - hoping that by some change he could save Weiss, or reverse what had happened or... something.
It was fruitless.
Solana did bring help, in the form of some of the Knights and a number of guardsmen, but none of them were prepared to take on a powerful Mokoi, who killed a number of the guardsmen after disabling Wayden, and set its sights on Solana when she came in to attack, despite Wayden's warning. As she fled, Ester gutted Solana with a large black claw.
And just like that, Wayden was alone in the world. He fell to his knees, he broke. For days following, he didn't speak to anyone. He couldn't think of the words to say to make someone understand the torment that was weighing him down, the deep sadness he felt for his loss. It took him weeks, and then months, but he eventually returned to trying to help the kingdom - only to notice a lot of shifted glances thrown his way. There were a few who were close to Ester that blamed him, or others who thought he should have seen the signs earlier.
Wanting to distance himself from this, Wayden went on something of a self-exile from the kingdom. He would still return every now and again to assist the knights if they so asked, or to lend his blade in the defense of Camelot by hunting creatures, or defending it from attacks... but he largely lived a separate and solitary life. That was, until the group from Zeppelin arrived. It was Wayden who Chris, Alessandra, Lyle and Angie met first - guiding them through the woods after opening his home to them, and heading to Camelot to show the King and his Knights what he had found. He stuck with them through the quest to the valley as well, helping in fending off Giants and Orcs, and then returned triumphant. He wasn't sure what it was about these people that resonated with him so, but when it came the time where everyone expected he would leave, he decided that he was going to remain in the Kingdom for a time instead, to help their new friends. Especially so when the nature of the groups connections to the kingdom was discovered.
And when Camelot was attacked, one could be sure that Wayden was protecting those same friends, shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Kallum the Woodsman, Sir. Bedivere, Sir. Tristan and Sir. Lamorak. He fought with them valiantly. They tried to save their home, and in the midst of the chaos, Sir. Geraint was killed by a strange creature who was in service to the demons, giving Wayden his ring before he died, painfully. He held the line for as long as he could, but then, suddenly, with the casting of Merlin's spell - after seeing so many of his friends fall, his kingdom fall, losing everything once more... he appeared in the woods. But it was wrong. It was all wrong.
He was alone again.

Revan let everything Lucy was saying hit her at once, and it felt like the feeling the Angel got when she was still powerful, when someone shot her with a shotgun. She felt terrible, like someone had punched her in the gut, or hit her with a baseball bat. She turned around and her hand went over her mouth, feeling like she was going to throw up. It was better that Lucy was dead than deserving this... No one deserved to be a ghost, the sad, sad existence.
Her throat tightened and tears began to well up, trying a hard as she could to keep from breaking down here on the floor.
She turned to Lucy, seemingly three shades paler, her hair not nearly as vibrant as it seemed to be three years ago, her grey eyes dulled to a shade of black. "Lucy... its 2013..." Revan hadn't been keeping track but she had counted three New Years celebrations since Lucy's death. Her hands went to her face and then back to her sides, her nails digging in to her palms until blood leaked down her fingers. "Three years.. I've counted. Three years I've slept alone in the bed. Three years I've drowned my sorrows I alcohol... Three years with my heart ripped from my chest without you here, Heaven and Earth becoming a living hell to me, leaving me with what options?" Revan wasn't going to lie, she had tried her hand at writing stories like Lucy, but that was the best poetry she could do, even if it was free verse.
Tears were dripping down her cheeks again now, and with the flick of her wrist the TV blinked to life and flicked to the news, where the date would be shown. "Everything I told you... Everything you thought I was crazy over, everything you would joke about... About me being an Angel was not a lie." Revan looked up at her again and then to the floor. "I m-missed you so... s-so much." Revan's legs stopped supporting her then and the pink haired woman fell on the floor, her head tilted down and her face in her hands, sobbing. She knew she shouldn't, but she felt as she did on the day of Lucy's death and funeral. Like all the life had been sucked out of her seeing the person she loved at this fate. But there was a part of Revan that was revived with this, the part of her that she had thought was buried with Lucy... Selfish as it may be to her, Revan was so, so happy Lucy was back.
