History: His early life was a tad more unconventional than most children, as his family had several hunters in it. As such, he was raised understanding that there were dangerous creatures in the world and grew up learning how to protect himself, then gradually how to join the hunt. While both his parents had been hunters, his mother settled down to family life to raise their kids while Loren's father worked to keep an eye on the monsters in the city. When he was 4, he developed aviophobia after a vacation where the returning plane flight experienced severe turbulence. His maternal grandparents were killed by werewolves when he was 6, which was a large blow to the family for many years.

As he reached teenage years, he began to explore his interests, developing a love for computer programming and old science fiction movies. He also began to explore the dating life, meeting a girl named Breanna at the arcade when he was 15. They got along extremely well, and it seemed like it would be a relationship that would last for a while, despite his mother's initial reservations as the girl was a year older. However, just before they had dated for a full year Breanna discovered she was pregnant. The young couple was shocked, and didn't know what to do, but they decided to have the baby regardless because Loren had assured her that his family would help them if needed. They kept the pregnancy hidden as long as they could, for fear of rejection from their families. especially Breanna's.

His daughter Skai was born shortly after he had turned 16, and he absolutely adored her. However, it was like a switch had been flipped in Breanna. Deciding she didn't care to be a mother, she dumped Skai on Loren and left, walking out of their lives forever. Shocked, Loren nonetheless stepped up and took to fatherhood as best as he could. His parents gave him a hand to help get his feet under him, aiding him in raising the bouncing happy little girl. While he remained baffled by Breanna's actions for years, Loren decided to focus on Skai and giving her as good a life as he could, thankful he had his family there to help him.

Loren would go on to forge a strong and healthy relationship with her, and they were thick as thieves. They frequently nerd out together about things and pull pranks on family, proving to be a rather mischievous pair. He took to his hunter studies with new zest, now having a daughter of his own to protect. He was so proud of her, and his parents proud of him for stepping up to the task.

For years life was pretty good, and stable. That all would change when they were out for a drive, and he found himself and Skai trapped in a loop with Zeppelin City in the center. Truly on their own for the first time, Loren has been working hard to ensure that Skai stays safe.

RP Sample: So close to being done with the program he was writing, Loren leaned forward intensely, eyes wide and focused on the screen. Suddenly, the black abyss of his room was lit in a blinding flash of light. Giving a short scream as he squeezed his eyes shut, pain flashing through them, he fell to his side in dramatic fashion.

"Really dad? How many times has gramma told you to have a light on when you're on your computer?"

Looking up, he saw Skai leaning against the door frame, arms crossed and eyebrows raised as she stared at him.

"You could have warned me you were turning the light on, at least." He whined. "I was almost permanently blinded!"

"You would have been if I hadn't turned it on." She snorted. Pushing off from the wall, she sat on the floor next to him and looked at his laptop screen. "So what'cha doin' anyway?"

"Just messing around, making a mod for one of my games." Loren shrugged.

"So your usual then?"

"The usual." He grinned. "Hey. Don't you have homework to do?"

"Nu-uh. I finished." Skai grinned, pleased with herself.

"Did you now?" Loren leveled her with an appraising look for a moment, before grinning. "Well then, good job."

"Mm-hmm. I even had time to convince gramma to make sweet potato pie for dinner."

"Really? Hells, yes gurl!" Loren grinned and held his hand out. Skai laughed as she high-fived him. "We're so watching the Fifth Element tonight."

Skai grinned. "Do I get to make sarcastic comments?"

"You can make all the sarcastic comments."

Giggling, Skai leaned against his side to watch as he finished his coding. It made Loren smile.
