Full Name: Edwin Robert Williams
Age/Date Of Birth: 187, born January 6 1832
Race: European Vampire
Occupation: Hunter (of humans)
Species Group: Creature
Play-By: Bill Skarsgard
Supernatural Speed: European vampires are incredibly fast and move in a blur. Being turned by the Alpha, Edwin is one of the fastest of his species.
Supernatural Strength: European Vampires are stronger than most species of vampires but it also depends on their age, as they get stronger as they grow older. Being turned by the Alpha, Edwin is the strongest of his species.
Supernatural Agility: European Vampires possess super-human agility. They have shown that they can move quickly, jump very high, climb, and run incredibly fast without difficulty or exhaustion. Vampires can jump with their super speed too.
Supernatural Senses: European Vampires have extremely keen senses of hearing, sight, smell, and taste that far exceed those of humans. They can hear whispered conversations, even ones in far of buildings and on phones, though most vampires typically learn how to tune out most ambient noises when it's not necessary to hear them. European Vampires can also smell blood from several meters away, and see in total darkness. These senses improve and grow stronger with age and experience as well. Their senses of taste are also enhanced, allowing them to detect the presence of drugs, alcohol, or even what the person ate in someone's blood.
Regeneration: European Vampires recover tissue from any form of physical damage to their bodies within seconds, though they still feel the pain of a wound before it heals. They can snap their bones back into place after they have been broken and have been seen to fully recover from gunshots, stab wounds, and torso impalement very quickly, so long as they had consumed a regular diet of human blood prior to the injury.
Healing Blood: European Vampires are able to heal humans by feeding them their blood, it will not turn them. The only way for them to turn is if they die while having the vampire blood in their system. If someone drinks fresh blood from a vampire, a psychic and emotional bond is created. The vampire will be able to sense the location and emotions of the human.
Progeny Link: The one who made a vampire has a special link to those they create and can sense any pain or duress the progeny undergoes, and know when a progeny has died. The maker can "call" their progeny by saying their name out loud, causing the progeny to become aware their maker is calling out for them. The progeny experiences a shiver, and may be able to tell where their maker is. Lastly a maker can force their progeny to do anything they want, as long as they make what they say a direct order.
Immortality: They have the potential to live forever, however Edwin is harder to kill because he was turned by the Alpha. Due to this, in order to kill Edwin, he must be staked with a wooden stake coated in the Alpha European Vampire's blood.
Enhanced Emotions: European Vampires experience emotions more powerfully than humans. Emotions like love, joy, and happiness are magnified for vampires, allowing them to live life more intensely. This ability allows vampires to feel emotions at their peak regardless of their age.
Emotional Control: European Vampires have the supernatural ability to remove or dull their emotions by "turning off" or "switching off" their humanity, which is directly connected to their emotions. Doing so allows them to block out their more negative emotions, such as fear and guilt, allowing them to feed and kill without remorse, go against any opponent without fear, and relieve themselves of painful feelings such as grief, loss, depression, and shame. A vampire without their emotions is far more calculating and direct than one who keeps them on. However, the vampire can become a remorseless killer, and are almost unrecognizable from the person they truly are, as blocking out negative emotions also causes their positive emotions to become dulled or nonexistent as well. Vampires are capable of turning their humanity back on and bringing back their emotions, but it is difficult as a result of the fact that they will be bombarded with all of their repressed emotions in addition to the guilt of anything they did without their humanity (such as killing or torturing innocent people or loved ones) with enhanced intensity.
Mind Compulsion: European Vampires have the ability to influence and control thoughts, emotions, and behavior and can alter or erase memories by eye contact. They are not able to compel other vampires or any other kind of creature. Edwin however, being turned by the alpha, can compel non-vampire creatures.
True Face: A European Vampire's true face is the appearance they are hiding under their normal human face. When a vampire's true face is revealed, the sclera of their eyes turns blood-red, dark veins appear under their eyes as the blood pumps forcefully through them, and their canine teeth extend into razor-sharp fangs. A vampire's true face can be revealed whenever they wish, but it will appear against their will whenever they are aroused by the scent of blood, or are feeling intense emotions such as fear, anger, lust, sadness, etc. A vampire's fangs are extremely sharp which gives them the ability to tear into almost any substance (including and especially flesh) and tear off limbs. A vampire's true face will appear for the first time either while they drink human blood for the first time or shortly afterward. With the fangs come the darkened veins under the eyes as well.
Random Mutation: Being turned by Kyle (The Alpha European Vampire), Edwin has developed telekinesis.
Animal Blood: Animal blood, while somewhat satisfying a European Vampire's hunger and sustaining their undead life, will make the vampire considerably weaker than they would be if they had drank human blood, causing their physical abilities to be inferior to a human-blood-consuming vampire, making them heal much more slowly, and making their compulsion less effective.
Excess blood: If a European Vampire drinks too much blood, they will display alcohol intoxication-like qualities (such as euphoria, confusion, stupor, etc). However the amount of blood needed for this to happen becomes larger the older the vampire is.
Broken Neck: Breaking a vampire's neck will not kill them, but it will render them in a death like state for varying amounts of time, depending on the diet and age of the person in question.
Decapitation: Dismembering or manually removing the head of a European Vampire will result in instant and permanent death, but being turned by the Alpha Edwin does not have this weakness.
Desiccation: European Vampires who abstain from blood for extended amounts of time will eventually desiccate and mummify.
Heart Extraction: Removing the heart of a vampire will result in permanent death. Vampires have the strength to plunge their hands right through the flesh of humans, allowing them to punch their hand through the thorax of a person and pull out their heart. If it is a vampire who has been subjected to this, then they will desiccate upon their death, causing their bodies to become a grey, dry husk with their vampiric veins exposed all over their body.
Sunlight: Sunlight and UV rays burn vampires on contact, and prolonged exposure will cause them to burst into flames and die. However, this weakness can be mitigated by the use of a piece of jewelry enchanted with a specific protection spell by a witch for a particular vampire, though it requires the vampire to wear the jewelry at all times.
Vampire Bloodline: If somehow Edwin does manage to die, all vampires he's turned will slowly perish as well.
Wood: Wounding a European Vampire with a wooden weapon such as wooden bullets will incapacitate them, and it will take longer for them to heal their injuries than if the wounds were caused by any other substance. Stabbing a vampire through the heart with a wooden stake will result in instantaneous and permanent death. However in order to kill Edwin, as he's the Alpha's progeny, the stake must be dipped in the Alpha's blood. It's possible for a vampire to build up a resistance to the effects of wood, but it's not possible for them to be fully immune. Edwin has spent the past 5 decades working on building up such a resistance to wood.
Silver: Any contact with silver will burn the skin of the European Vampire it touches.

Likes (At Least 3):
❤ Drinking the blood of/eating humans.
❤ Doing what he wants, when and how he wants.
❤ Playing with his food.
❤ Hide and seek. Especially if there's a succulent prize at the end. Also it's just so much fun to mess with people.
❤ Smoking. Tobacco and nicotine has always soothed him when he's gotten particularly worked up about something.
❤ Wolverines. Such vicious and hardy creatures.
Dislikes (At Least 3):
✗ Following rules
✗ Playing nice
✗ Horror movies. he doesn't find them scary, he just finds them quite boring and doesn't see what the fuss about them is. Likely because he's just as, if not more, scary than most of them.
✗ "Lesser" beings thinking they can either contain or otherwise kill him.
✗ Any mention of his past being brought up. He despises remembering his past and considers his former human self to be an entirely different being separate from who he is now.
✗ Slavery. He doesn't agree with it, though he doesn't voice this opinion nearly as strongly anymore as his humanity degrades over the decades.
Fears (At Least 2):
☬ Dying when his alpha does.
Goals (At Least 1):
★ Just to enjoy his life to the fullest, at the expense of others around him.
Personality: Edwin is a cruel and vicious man, one who revels in bloodshed. He's not happy when no one is being hurt in some manner while he's in the area; be it physically, emotionally, or otherwise. This cruelty is one that began at a young age, but strengthened when he was first turned and has grown only worse over the course of his long life. Edwin doesn't take being slighted very well, and will be out for blood if he feels even remotely wronged by someone. However, he may not be inclined to go after you directly. He may instead go for your loved ones, or anyone particularly important to you for some reason (ie; people who may have a role in plans), whichever path causes you more spite and grief before he comes for your throat. He enjoys playing games with people, and is particularly fond of hide-and-seek. He loves the hunt that entails from that game, and gets pleasure out of ripping his prey out of places they thought they were safe in. He derives immense pleasure from toying with and torturing his prey.
Edwin loves to feed on humans (both their blood and their flesh), and refuses to feed on anything lesser than them unless given absolutely no other choice in the matter. He may be inclined to feed on other creatures, if only to see how they taste. But humans will always be his favorite. He rarely leaves a target alive after feeding. Edwin will always do things his way, when and how he wants. He doesn't take kindly to others giving him orders, and would sooner kill someone before he submitted to them. His alpha is the only one who can make him follow an order, if only because he can kick Edwin's ass and the monster knows it. Though, he will feel mutinous and venomous towards Kyle the entire time he does as he is instructed to do. Therefore, Edwin has made it a point to avoid the alpha for as long as he could. He suffers from claustrophobia, and can't tolerate small cramped spaces. Edwin fears being caged, and will tolerate small spaces only for as long as he needs to during a hunt.

History: Edwin was born into poverty, and had a harsh childhood because of it. He lost one of his older brothers to sickness when he was three, and his remaining brother died in an accident when he was 5. This left his mother to lose herself in grief, and she became emotionally distant to Edwin. His father was a drunkard and mean when he had been in the bottles, so frequently he took out his anger at the loss of his sons and his wife's distance on the young boy. Edwin's childhood was lonely, and he spent most of his time watching the others in his town. He had a quick mind though, and would spend his days finding ways to trick and play with the townsfolk as a means to escape the shadow of his mother's grief and his father's abuse. As he grew older, his games and tricks became more cruel and once, nearly even lethal. This made his existence ever more lonely as the townsfolk began to avoid him. His father would pass when he was 16, drowning in his drinks. Edwin left home that day, ignoring his mother as he did so. As far as he was concerned, she had already left him when he was a child, so he felt no need to stay around and take care of a stranger.
Moving to a nearby city, Edwin scraped by on a meager job, slowly saving his pay when he could with dreams of becoming wealthy and putting eve greater distance between himself and the poverty of his youth. One day, when he was 19, he found a woman whose boldness caught his fancy and his heart. A difficult feat, indeed. Something about Adaline drew Edwin in, and soon they married and began a family. Edwin worked even harder, striving desperately to provide his family with a better life than he had had growing up. And for a time, things seemed to be going well. However, a few years later his children were stolen from him by the pox. This sent Edwin spiraling into grief and anger, and his wife entered her own silent grief. Edwin couldn't tolerate being home, where he had to see his mother in his wife's distant silence. So he turned to drinking like his father had, and stayed out late gambling and fighting. A year after the loss of his children, he came home to find his wife had hung herself.
Furious with how his wife had left him, and feeling abandoned by everyone including the gods, Edwin joined the Louisiana Infantry as the Civil War reached them. He had hoped he would die in the war, and gained a reputation for being reckless and crazy. But his keen mind and battle aptitude pulled him through the ranks until he was the first lieutenant in the 28th Louisiana Infantry. During one brutal fight, Edwin received a critical injury before fleeing the fight. He became lost in the trees, and wandered with weakening strength until he came upon an abandoned cabin in the woods. Stumbling inside, he was surprised when a man approached him out of nowhere within. He shot at him, but was shocked when it did nothing. He slid to the floor as he slowly bled out, finding himself talking to this stranger...this vampire...with more honesty than he had ever shared with anyone, outside of his late wife. He had been so desperate to die and join her, but something about the stranger had him feeling like he didn't want that anymore. He found a renewed surge of the will to live, and it both scared and exhilarated him. The stranger, a man who called himself Kyle, offered to turn Edwin into a vampire. He accepted the offer, and left that cabin a changed man.
He would go on to become an absolute monster, giving into his cruel and sadistic pleasures as he reveled in the power he had. He would walk a very bloody path from that day forward, distancing himself from his alpha and losing more of his humanity with each passing year. He just wants to live long and have fun.
The vampire leaned back in his seat, propping his feet up on his workstation. Idly he hummed a tune as he read through the pages of his research paper he was working on. His dark eyes flicked side to side over each word, and the room was silent, save for the breath of the lab equipment. As he turned another page, the door to the darkened lab opened. Glancing up at the scrawny youth who stood there, he raised his brows in a 'yes?' manner.
"Hey uh...Vidal? Is it alright if I time out now?"
"Have you finished taking the samples I asked for?"
"Yeah. I stored them as per your instructions."
"Well then Mark, you can go."
The youth grinned, thanking Yaotl as he quickly scurried off. The vampire allowed himself some time to continue with his paper, before he stood and made his way to check the samples. Mark was an annoyance most days, but he at least knew how to do honest work and, unlike the other interns, did exactly what he was asked to. He even held a level of respect for people regardless of their descent that garnered the vampire's grudging tolerance in return. Yaotl could also appreciate that the boy was a night owl, and so had gained his position as Yaotl's current intern only because he was willing to stay late at the lab, sometimes not going home till almost 3 in the morning. Setting the samples back, Yaotl moved over to a small glass tank that sat on his desk. Reaching in, he pulled the cornsnake out and allowed her to explore for a bit as he stroked her strong, slender body.
"Well Citlalpin, what do you say. Should we keep Mark around for a bit once his internship's up?" He quietly asked her. The snake just flicked her tongue out as she slithered over his paper on the desk. "I agree. He may have a bright future ahead of himself." The vampire sighed and glanced towards the curtained window, where he could smell and hear the rain that poured down upon the lab. "A very bright future indeed."
