Likes (At Least 3):
❤ Ferrets. They're so wierd, but he loves how playful they are and can be endlessly amused watching their antics. He's not entirely opposed to the idea of having one as a pet.
❤ Jazz and swing music. He loves this kind of music, especially that of Benny Goodman. He has recently discovered electro swing and is finding that he enjoys that modern take.
❤ Movies. He's absolutely floored by the difference in movies of today when compared to what they had been in his time. And while he's still coming to grips with the modern technology, he is slowly working through the movie collection at the main house.
❤ Reading. Curling up with a good book is his idea of a wonderful night in.
Dislikes (At Least 3):
✗ Things around his neck. Due to the trauma of how he died, he cannot tolerate anything being too tight around his neck, such as ties or necklaces on short chains. Even some shirt collars can make him uncomfortable if they're too high. If it's loose, then he feels a little better but still can often be seen tugging at whatever is sitting around his neck.
✗ Creatures that harm humans. He's begun to understand that not all creatures are evil human eaters, but he's not easily inclined to believe there's things such as good vampires out there.
✗ Cows. Don't get him wrong, he loves a good steak. But being around live cows is a no no.
Fears (At Least 2):
☬ Experiencing another war
☬ Being lynched...again
Goals (At Least 1):
★ To figure out how he's alive again.
★ To understand how the modern world works.
Personality: David is a real gentleman, with a kind heart that just wants to do the right things, and do good by those he loves and admires. But, David sometimes rushes into things without entirely thinking them through. This is also contributed to by the way David tends to jump to conclusions before hearing things out. But, he's humble enough to admit he was wrong if he is corrected. He has an old soul and sometimes can be said to be a bit traditional. David is gentle and sweet, and likes to make friends wherever he goes when possible.
Due to his time in the war as well as the trauma of his death, David suffers from PTSD that he tries to keep others from noticing. He doesn't like to show that he's weak like that, a feeling that he carries due to his father. Despite his skills in a fight, he'd much rather avoid conflict when he can. Still unused to the modern era, David tends to be guarded about being homosexual as he doesn't trust that he won't be lynched again.

History: His childhood was fairly normal for the time period, though David's father was quite strict and rough on him and his brothers, being the boys of the family. This was mostly due to having served in WW1, and being used to a militant lifestyle. Once WW2 rolled around, David enlisted in the army straightaway because he wanted to make his father proud. His hard work ethic proved to be a boon, and he did quite well as a soldier. While coming from a family of psychics, David had never had any real encounters with the supernatural until encountering a nest of vampires during the war. His platoon had entered a small town in France to flush out Nazis that Intel claimed was there, but what they found instead was much worse. Most of the men had been wiped out by the creatures, but David was lucky to not only be able to sense they weren't human, but also discovered that one of his fellow soldiers was a hunter. The man, Johnny, helped the surviving members of the platoon fend off and kill the vampires, and afterwards David struck up a friendship with him. Through this man, he learned about the supernatural world and the hunters who worked to protect civilians from them. That was how he started on the path of becoming a hunter himself after the war had ended.
One day, he was out for a walk (or rather, on patrol) in town when he encountered someone that he sensed wasn't human while near a river. Still being a pretty naive hunter, he attacked the man without doing his homework. This man happened to be a powerful phoenix named Zero, who rather thoroughly thrashed David. Afterwards, they found themselves simply sitting by the river and just...talking. David learned more about the supernatural that Johnny hadn't taught him, how there were many creatures that strived to be good and coexist with humans, and a bit about Zero. Humbled by the encounter, he apologized to Zero and asked if they could meet again. They continued to meet by the river, and David soon fell utterly in love with the phoenix. When he had gathered the courage to kiss Zero during one of these nightly meetings, he found then that Zero felt the same about him. David had never been happier.
However, as all things must go, his happiness was soon brought to a horrendous halt. One night, someone from town had seen David and Zero during a liason by the river. Gossip spread through the town about David in the typical wildfire fashion of such places. Disgusted by David, the local police rallied together to deal with the gay man. David was dragged out of his house and severally beaten by the lynch gang, before they hung him from a tree in his front yard. Zero, utterly crushed by the murder, began to beat the lynchers with the intent of dealing death to them. David's ghost appeared, heavy with sorrow, and pleaded for Zero to not go down that path. As much as the men deserved it. Reluctantly the phoenix settled for just beating the tar out of them and leaving them almost at death's door.
That should have been the end of it, but David's story wasn't finished it seemed. He suddenly woke up, face down on the ground of a forest in the middle of winter. He remembered the lynching, but had no recollection about pleading to Zero to spare the men who had done it. Disoriented and dazed, David thought that this was the afterlife. At first. Until he stumbled across a town, filled with creatures, hunters, and (unknown to him) one very familiar face. Utterly out of place and time, David is struggling to adapt to the modern era, and come to terms with the fact that he has somehow been revived. By what forces, he doesn't know and is determined to find out.

Levi stifled a yawn as he slowly walked around the motel room in the early hours of morning, Madison cradled in his arms with her head resting on his shoulder. The infant had woken up crying, and using it as a great way to pull out of his own nightmare at the time, Levi had gotten up to deal with her and to allow Alec more time to sleep. It had taken some time to calm the child, gently rocking her and softly singing. Now, she quietly drooled on his shirt as he walked around, commenting on the room.
"Look at this wallpaper. I don't think this room has seen any updates since the 60's. And this stain? Maybe someone saw some action in here. Ew. No. I'm not going to think about it. Maddy, you ignore that as well." He rubbed her back, listening to her cute baby sighs as she sucked on her tiny fist. Her wide open eyes didn't show any sign of growing tired anytime soon, which made Levi sigh in defeat. He was so going to make Alec drive tomorrow so he could catch some sleep.
He moved to the couch and sat down, continuing to rub Madison's back as he flicked the tv on with low volume. He carefully adjusted his hold on the infant so she too could maybe see the tv, even if she wasn't going to understand any of it.
"Let's see what our..." He picked up the tv guide and glanced it over, "15 channels has to offer at this time of night. Maybe there'll be something to make you sleepy, baby girl." As he flipped the channels, Madison just babbled and drooled as she grabbed a fistful of his shirt and kicked her legs about. Levi rubbed his eyes. Oh, this was going to take a while. She was so wide awake. He sank back and began to spend the next couple hours waiting for the infant to once again fall asleep so he could too.
