Annali and her twin brother Wyatt were born with immense power that their mother stole. However, the power was split between the two in the womb.

An Emere is described as a child who can travel between the spiritual and physical world at will. However they have to learn how to control this ability and can accidentally travel between realms, it's due to this that many Emere children vanish and are never seen again. Should an Emere learn to control their abilities and grow older, they become even stronger than witches. They're able to use magic that manipulates life and death and even harness the power of their own soul. In addition to these impressive abilities, they are much stronger than normal witches.

Magic: Emere have access to all of the usual magic that any other witch can access - but usually at a much stronger degree than typical spellcasters. Annali actively trains and practices her magic and is therefore much stronger than her brother at this point in time.

Dimension Walking: Emere are able to cross freely between the mortal and spiritual plane. Unlike Astral Projection, which leaves the body unconscious and open to possession, they fully transport themselves into the spirit realm and are unable to be possessed while present in it. Annali has had a good control of this ever since she was a small child.

Telekinesis: Annali can move objects with her mind.

Birthday Curse: Opposite of her brother, she always has something bad happen to her on their birthday.

Personality: Annali is a pretty outspoken and direct person. She doesn't usually like to tip-toe around things and feels like it's important to say what you mean and mean what you say. She is pretty outgoing but usually very distrusting when it comes to anyone getting close to her brother. Ever since they were kids, Annali has been extremely protective of Wyatt. Even though they are twins, Annali tends to hold the fact that she is six minutes older over his head in order to get him to do things her way... as if those few minutes make her that much wiser.

Although she's not necessarily a cruel or hateful person, she is definitely distrusting and suspicious. She and her brother have had creatures come for them most of their lives, and as a result of both that and abuse she endured in a recent relationship, she has become a pretty defensive person who has built up walls to protect herself. Sure, those walls have their weak spots, but she does her best to not let anyone in. She loves to socialize, but acquaintances is as close as she wants you to get.

Despite her tendency to distrust strangers, Annali will usually be one of the first people to act when someone is in danger. She loves the adrenaline rush she gets when saving someone's life, especially when she gets to use her magic. Annali is well-practiced in both fighting and magic and will not hesitate to pull out any trick necessary.

History: Annali and Wyatt's mother was a very ambitious witch who stole a power source from a dark coven with the intention of claiming the power for herself. However, at the time she didn't realize she was pregnant, and instead of that power going to Alicia herself, it was absorbed by the two babies in her womb. The woman was very distrusting of medical doctors and as a result, Alicia had no idea that she was even pregnant with twins. A little bit of divination magic led her to know that she was having a daughter... which was no surprise because girls ran strong in her family. However, as the pregnancy went on, she continued to become weaker and weaker, and when she gave birth to not one, but two powerful babies, her body became physically incapable of sustaining itself and she died before she could even hold either of them.

When she the twins were nine years old, Wyatt got stuck in the astral plane. With her father's guidance, she was able to travel to the astral plane and save him. This was the event that really kicked her desire to study and practice her powers into high gear, as well as her over-protectiveness of her twin. Annali put in at least double the effort of before and found that she really had a natural knack for being a witch... and that she enjoyed the feeling of being powerful and beating the odds.

After the astral plane incident, different monsters started coming for the twins, attacking them in their home for reasons unknown to Annali and her brother. Their father started training them not only about magic, but how to fight and defend themselves against various supernatural creatures. Noah was a great father... very attentive and loving. His kids were his pride and joy and he did everything he could to not only protect them, but to teach them how to protect themselves. Noah did his best to balance research, their training, taking care of their home, and being a firefighter (at least until he was injured and no longer able to continue in that line of work). Annali was very much a daddy's girl and as soon as she was old enough, she would do her best to take on some of the housework in order to try to ease some of his burden, including laundry and cooking, which she discovered early on she had a real passion for.

Because of her busy life at home, Annali didn't really socialize with her peers much, even as a teenager. She took her responsibilities very seriously and felt she didn't have time to fraternize with other kids. As a result, she never really developed any close relationships, or even friendships, until she was just a few months into her new career as an interior decorator. Annali was hired by a handsome bachelor named Justin to help renovate a home he was flipping to sell. There was awkward flirting at first, which he seemed to find endearing, and the two hit it off quite well. In spite of Annali's desire to keep him at arm's length, she agreed to a first date... and then a second... and before she knew it, she was buying one of his house projects and he was moving in with her.

Unfortunately, Prince Charming wasn't so charming after all. It started with the occasional subtle, biting remark... a complaint here or there... an insult that sandwiched within a pair of compliments so it didn't seem quite so bad. But then he became more controlling, not only dictating where she went and what she did and for how long, but also alienating her from her family. Eventually it progressed to physical abuse, but of course he always made sure that he only hit her in discreet places, or if an accident happened otherwise, he'd make sure that what she wore covered up any evidence.

If it hadn't been for Justin, Annali might not have been so blind to the danger Wyatt had gotten himself into with his drug use. But when he finally called her and told her what had happened with Tommy, she of course immediately stepped in to help. Annali brought Wyatt into their home, despite Justin's protests, and did everything she could to help him through his grief, including organizing a private memorial service for Tommy. Now that she and Wyatt were once again under the same roof, their bond was strengthened once more. Despite her efforts to hide any evidence of the abuse she was enduring from Justin, Wyatt noticed even the simplest of jabs at his sister and when things got physical, Wyatt ended up confronting Justin about the way he was treating her. A physical fight broke out between the two, and seeing Justin physically assault her brother was enough to cause her to kick him out of her home and her life.

Annali and Wyatt continued to rebuild their relationship and support one another through the pain they each had endured, growing closer than ever before until Wyatt mysteriously vanished about six months ago. Annali has spent the past several months hunting down every lead with her father's help in an effort to find her brother, with no success

Beth glanced over at the passenger seat as she pulled into the gas station. They had been driving for nearly six hours and Dean had been asleep for about two of them. It had been two days since she first met him back in Michigan and honestly, she was amazed that he had stuck around. Grateful... but amazed. Dean had so far proven to be quite interesting company... not to mention eye candy for the road that didn't give her a stomach ache or cavities.

The gas station was so empty that Beth almost wasn't sure if the pumps even worked anymore. There was a lone dusty green pickup truck parked in the very back corner of the gravel parking lot that ran alongside the small convenience store. The filling area looked to be the only section that was paved, and it was old, cracked pavement at that. She considered waking Dean in case he needed to use the restroom but she decided against it. Even if he did need to make a pit stop, she doubted he'd want to do it in a smelly, cockroach-infested gas station bathroom.

Beth pulled up to the pump and shut off the engine, looking over at him once more. Two nights ago she had kissed him and run out before giving him a chance to reject her. They hadn't talked about the kiss since then and he hadn't given any sign of clue that it even phased him. If Dean was at all intrigued or repulsed by that one little display of affection, he was very good at not letting it show.

She got out of her car and closed the car door, walking around to look at the pump and frowning when she realized there was no credit card reader. With a sigh she hoisted her bag onto her shoulder and went inside to prepay. There was a fairly young guy slouching at the counter and looking far too tired or too stoned to work there... it was hard to tell which. Beth decided to wander around the store to gather up a few snacks for the road. She needed to stretch her legs anyway.
