In the aftermath of the Collapse many people were left without homes, and without families - a lot of them being children with nowhere else to go and nothing else to do with themselves. When the Collapse happened, Ripley and Luke Sullivan grabbed their son and his friend Carter and moved out into this new world. Doing their best to survive and try to help reorganize the world, they began finding other young men and women who needed some sort of guidance and teachers. Some were human, and some were not, all of very different skill sets and capabilities. Luke was a very stern and withdrawn man at times, though he did have his moments with each of the kids and each has something they can remember him teaching them. Ripley was kinder, but also far more grim with a very cynical view on the world at large with how it had changed. Despite this, she made it clear that she would have died for each and every one of them, because that’s what family does.
They lived in a large farmhouse in the middle of a field which was between a ruined city with half of a skyscraper gone, having not appeared with the collapse, and a large forest riddled with random buildings. They had to fight off hordes of monsters and undead at times, not to mention other humans but Luke and Ripley managed to do so and eventually the kids would also help protect their home.
After meeting the old Cecil Arkwright, an old traveler who they helped save from a pack of wild fenrir; he encouraged Ripley and Luke to begin training the young ones to work as a team together, as this was a world you needed others to rely on to survive and he saw much potential with them - Ripley and Luke decided that was a good call. And began moving them forward as a team. A strange family.
When the chance to come back in time was offered, most of the group took it without hesitation and with the encouragement from the older generation to go and try to fix the world, before it ever breaks.

Abilities: Duke has skinwalker abilities and his Raiju abilities and has learned how to use electric artillery in which he uses weapons(his guns) as a conduit for his electricity to enhance them and he’s learned to use his extreme speed along with his gunning abilities
Info: Duke is the oldest of the group and has definitely taken the role of the “older brother”. He tries his best to look out after them all, perhaps something he inherited from his father and having a bit of a pack mentality. He’s very protective and is extremely agile. Growing up he learned how to use his abilities from his father and learned quite a bit of things about how to defend himself and how to use firearms from his mother.
Duke would shift between staying with his father at their camp and with his mother in the city. An organization called the Men of Letters took interest in the skinwalkers and talked with Amaya, a hunter. They told her they wanted to learn more about the more unique skinwalker types and wanted her to tell them where Lux’s camp was. Amaya told them. On the weekend, she kept Duke with her and the hunters went to the camp. It was a slaughter. They killed all of them and when Duke found out he couldn’t forgive his mother. She didn’t mean for them to be killed, that’s not what they told her would happen. But it didn’t matter, Duke ran away and learned how to live on his own in the woods - without a pack. Without a family.
Duke is very bold, friendly, but he has a lot of resentment, anger, and distrust in his soul. He’s terrified of telling anyone what he is, because even if who he tells won’t hurt him it doesn't mean someone else they happen to tell won’t. So he’s learned to keep it a secret and only Ripley and one of the other kids know about it. He’s a strong willed individual, having learned how to tough it out and push through whatever is thrown his way. He has natural leadership qualities and because of that he is typically seen as the head of the group, though he often asks Zack to make calls due to how intelligent he is.
Duke met Mckinley a few days after the collapse and he helped keep her safe and alive which was not easy in the new world. He tried taking her to a safe coastal city that was said to be East but they had a lot of ground to cover and they ran into many obstacles and horrors along the way. After 3 months of living like this, they were found by Ripley and Luke who took them in. The offered solace and Duke planned on leaving Mckinley there because she was young and he felt like because of his age he would continue on his own, that and he was used to it. However, they insisted he stayed as well and decided he didn’t want to just ditch Mckinley there and wanted somewhere to feel a bit safe - Duke stayed.
Blakely: He and Blakely are pretty close, both acting as the older siblings of the group. He is helping her learn how to track. She knows he is a skinwalker and trusts her enough to keep it a secret.
Cleo: He definitely thinks she’s an odd one and he tries to help guide her in how to be more social and tries to encourage her to talk to others. She doesn't know he is a skinwalker.
Zack: He’s super smart which leaves Duke feeling kind of dumb sometimes. Most of the time Duke makes a lot of decisions but when it comes down to really technical things, he always turns to Zack to make the call. He feels very protective over him and Carter, they’re like his little brothers that he never had.
Carter: The kid talks a lot but Duke doesn’t mind it, he finds him amusing sometimes. He feels very protective over him and Zack, they’re like his little brothers he never had.
Tyus: He gets along with Tyus pretty well. He’s one of the older ones in the group, about the same age as Blakely so Duke can connect with him more on that level.
Maia: He tries to watch out for her, even though she’s really quiet and withdrawn. He’s heard her speak only a few times and most of that was only because of his supernaturally enhanced hearing. The looks he gets sometimes confuse him and leave him wondering “Wtf?”, not realizing she is criticizing his usage of guns.
Mckinley: Duke met McKinley very early on after the Dimensional Collapse. She was only 15 at the time and he was 18. He took it upon himself to keep her safe and ever since she’s been like a little sister to him. She doesn't know he is a skinwalker.

Info: It’s hard enough growing up in the world that these kids came from and learning who you were amidst all the chaos without the drama of coming back to life as a vampire when your godmother tries to save your life. Blakely hasn’t been a vampire more than a few years, and struggled immensely in the early days of it - because now she had all these instincts and feelings she had to try to fight when all she wanted to do was the right thing.
Due to the collapse, Blakely lost both of her parents. It was during her Sweet Sixteen and her parents wasted no expense. Everyone was there, her friends, her parents of course, her godmother Charlie, and her aunt Jenna alongside her husband Aaron and two children Jonah and Joel. Her Aunt Jenna helped plan and decorate the party, as that was her actual job. It was an amazing night, well at least it should’ve been. Everything around her changed, she wasn’t standing in the backyard anymore. She was somewhere unrecognizable. Her mother was gone, in fact almost everyone was gone aside from her godmother Charlie and a few friends. Blakely’s father laid on the ground with a large piece of metal literally splitting him in half. Blakley was in shock at what was happening, because she went from having the time of her life to losing almost everyone she loved. Blakely’s father made Charlie promise to look after her, to keep her safe and Charlie promised. Those were his last words before he died.
Over the course of days and weeks, the friends Blakely did have still all died to the horrors of the world. Monsters, men with guns, unpredictable weather conditions… You name it, Blakely saw it. Charlie made the difficult decision to turn her goddaughter into a vampire in order to save her life. (Why she was turned can be created by the player.) Soon after Charlie was killed by a group of hunters who were wiping out anything that was anything but human. This left Blakely on her own, until she met a group of vampires who took her under their wing. They planned on teaching the girl how to be a monster but their plans were stopped when two hunters named Luke and Ripley killed them before they could hurt more people. Upon finding Blakely there they saw she wasn’t like them and she explained she was recently turned, and with a leap of faith they brought her back to their home and helped teach her how to control her cravings and abilities.
It was 6 months after the collapse that Blakely fell into Ripley and Cecil’s care, and it became obvious she was a caretaker at her core and ended up being one of the two people commonly taking care of the other kids - all while trying to keep herself in check and learn to deal with her new hungers.
Duke: She’s really close with Duke, both being the older ones of the group. She’s one of the few who know he is a skinwalker and that’s because of her heightened senses. Thanks to him being one though, it’s a lot easier to be around him and not have the extreme cravings. He tries to help her with her instincts and how to control her senses better, being in the process of learning how to track.
Cleo: She thinks she can be a bit too hot headed at times and she reacts recklessly in situations that not only might put her in danger, but the rest of the group. For that reason she thinks Cleo is a bit selfish but she still cares and worries about her, even though they butt heads a lot.
Zack: Zack is extremely smart and she has no idea how he figures out some of the stuff he does. He’s a literal little genius. That’s actually her nickname for him - Little Genius. She’ll watch over him and make sure he’s safe just like any of the others.
Carter: Oh Carter, he’s so awkward and dorky but she loves him for it. She’s very protective over Carter, more so than she is over everyone else sometimes.
Tyus: He’s a nice guy, and she likes him. She has a feeling he may be afraid of her and she doesn’t like that so she does what she can to make him feel comfortable. She knows a lot about magic thanks to her dad and can relate to him on that level. She also guided Tyus into making her a daylight necklace.
Maia: She doesn’t really talk much but Blakley definitely feels somewhat protective over her. She thinks she’s been through a lot and may have had the harshest life out of any of them. Apparently Maia talks to her the most which makes her feel like she has a chance of helping her open up and learn how to live a normal life. To make friends.
Mckinley: Strangely enough Mckinley’s mother turned Blakley into a vampire in her world. The two bonded over that fact and she’s aware that Mckinley doesn’t have the easiest time trusting and believing creates can be good… So she’s afraid that she’ll slip up and Mckinley will never forgive her.

Self-Alteration
Cleo can manipulate her own body and biological chemistry, allowing her to enhance muscle growth, reduce pain receptors, alter her senses, adjust bone density, enhance healing - among other things. It also lets her alter her outward appearance in some ways - changing hair, skin and eye color.
Toxic Blood
Cleo’s blood is very poisonous to those exposed to it, causing corrosive response to skin, and if ingested seizure and heart palpitations alongside extreme burning pain. If ingested by a creature of some sort who drinks blood, they will usually be left in extreme pain.
Info: The Smiles bloodline is an odd one at the best of times. It gets even more complicated when your father is an absentee dragon, leaving a beleaguered Nikki Smiles - The Canyon Killer - to raise her daughter as best she can, through the Collapse and all. Nikki did her best, but died in the resulting chaos and left the angry, quiet Cleo on her own to forge her own path where she lived a mostly solitary life for 8 months in the remains of New Mexico, until the stories of an adolescent dragon drew the attention of a few wandering hunters - namely Ripley and Luke, who arrived on scene and tracked her down. When they realized it was little more then a scared and lonely child, they brought her back with them to give her something else to focus her energy on.
Being taken under the wing of Ripley, Luke and Cecil helped temper her more violent tendencies and help her adjust to working with others. She still has a bad tendency to go off on her own and try to do things solo and will generally volunteer herself to be the one to go out and do dangerous things since she’s “A lot harder to kill”.
Duke: She appreciates his attempts to help her get out there more even though she has a hard time showing it, and trusts his advice - doing her best to follow any given even if she doesn’t fully understand it. She doesn’t know he’s a skinwalker.
Blakely: Blakely wants to waste time on planning in tense situations when Cleo is certain she can blast in with her capabilities and get the job done in the time it takes her to get that planning done, it becomes a point of contention between them often.
Zack: He makes her feel funny and she isn’t sure fully why, but it feels good to bring him things that she finds that she thinks he likes when she hides shiny things in his stuff. She’s also very aware of the fact that he’s a virgin, and maybe that has something to do with it.
Carter: He’s a virgin too but he seems more insecure about it, she finds that kind of funny. He’s really friendly and she likes that, the way he acts with Zack is a bit weird but it’s entertaining enough for her to get a giggle out of it when she watches.
Tyus: He brings her a lot of crystals that keep her calm, and while the calm part is great and all she really likes collecting the crystals and adding them to her own little horde when she can. Beyond that, she trusts him and doesn’t mind being around him.
Maia: Cleo can’t make heads or tails of Maia but assumes that she likes her given the fact that she keeps bringing her things that she steals. So that’s… a good thing? Maybe? She isn’t fully sure on that yet, but tries to assume it is.
Mckinley: Cleo is entirely oblivious to the fact that Mckinley is afraid of her, and sort of just assumes that Mckinley doesn’t like her because she’s a dragon and that’s why she avoids her - which she doesn’t particularly like the idea of. Regardless she deals with it and tries to work with Mckinley as much as she can.

Intuitive Aptitude
Zack’s mind works differently than most - by observing or working with an entity, person or object he can grow to rapidly understand their functions, defects, inner workings and mechanics, regardless of how simple or complex they might be letting him pick apart how devices work, magical items, and even people’s motivations and abilities - so long as he has enough time to examine and work on the target in question. The more complex the item, the longer it’ll generally take him to work out in his mind.
Omnilingualism
Zack is naturally capable of instantly learning, speaking and understanding a language if he’s come in contact with it before. It comes entirely seamless and naturally to him.
Info: Zack came into a family that left some big shoes to fill. His father Luke was one of the people who started the school for Devas, and his mother Ripley was known as a very skilled hunter - as such, a lot of their associates had pretty big expectations for their son to grow into the family business so to speak.
That chance never really came when things went sour. When the Collapse happened, Zack was staying over with his best friend Carter and amidst the chaos - Ripley and Luke managed to locate both of them and they just… drove. They drove until the chaos began to settle down, and the world had changed very suddenly and violently. Ripley and Luke were some of the best protectors someone could ask for - and eventually the old man Cecil came into the fold, and he was capable enough too in keeping them safe despite how old he was. Before long there were others too, in this odd little family of theirs that was forming.
While he isn’t quite a fighter like his parents or the others - Zack’s real strength comes in the form of his mind and being a natural tactician. He’s put time into training and studying military and police tactics and does his best to direct the group through that to increase their effectiveness with the help of Carter.
Duke: Zack really looks up to Duke, he admires his leadership skills which he wishes he had also. When Duke turns to him when it’s time to make calls, it really makes Zack feel appreciative. He doesn’t know he’s a skinwalker.
Blakely: She’s a vampire, and he’s very logical with how he thinks about her being dangerous. While he’s aware of it, he doesn’t treat her badly. They get along well.
Cleo: Apparently she likes him?... That’s what Carter says, Zack just thinks she is WEIRD. She keeps sticking weird random shiny objects in his stuff. He finds it in his bag, his dresser drawers, all over the place. Then she’s always kind of like… Staring at him! ACK! SHE’S SOOOO WEIRD.
Carter: He and Carter grew up together and are besties for life. He becomes super defensive over him when someone is mean or makes fun of him.
Tyus: Zack has been helping teach Tyus some other languages in order to do other types of magic eventually. Old grimoires can be written in all kinds of languages and well, Zack is a pro. They definitely get along well.
Maia: She’s quiet and keeps to herself so he respects that and doesn’t bother her. They don’t really know each other.
Mckinley: Zack may be super smart but when it comes to the supernatural and hunting? Mckinley’s the girl. He loves how smart she is and the fact that she’s so into books too.

Info: Carter’s goal in life is to become Tony Stark and build himself an Iron Man suit… Dream big, right? He’s best friend’s with Zack Sullivan, who he was with spending the night at his house when the collapse happened. He was only 12 at the time, and his life was flipped upside down. Losing his parents was a huge deal for Carter and he’s spent many nights crying himself to sleep and as more years pass, the harder they are becoming to remember. He’s a huge geek and loves superheroes, D&D, and video games. He’s a pro when it comes to technology, even without having to use his abilities. Carter is a bit of a chatterbox, especially when he’s excited so when he’s not really talking something must really be wrong.
Duke: Wow, he’s really big, powerful, and scary. Carter totally never wants to piss him off. Because he’s the oldest Carter definitely thinks they should listen to him, because he’s old and wise and stuff. He’s like super cool, and wishes he had electricity powers too but that’s okay because he still has his own. He calls him Thor. He doesn’t know he’s a skinwalker.
Blakely: Yikes! She’s kind of scary because she has fangs and is all rawr, but she’s really nice! She scares him but tries not to let on that she does because that is so lame and everyone will make fun of him for it.
Cleo: OMG! She’s soooo weird but so cute! He’s pretty sure she has a super crush on his best friend Zack and he’s always trying to set them up. Zack gets annoyed, but HE’S JUST TRYING TO HELP! She’s nice and Zack is a virgin so he needs to just suck it up and stop being picky. Even though he’s a virgin himself but that is literally NOBODY’S BUSINESS. He doesn’t know her super well or anything but he gets along with her pretty well. He calls her Maleficent.
Zack: He and Zack grew up together and are besties for life. They’re like Batman and Robin or Xavier and Magneto but Carter totally thinks he is the cooler one of the pair.
Tyus: Magic is so cool! He thinks if they could mix technology with magic they’d make some freakin’ epic stuff! Carter is always coming up with some random way to use magic with some kind of technology, whether or not it would work is another story…
Maia: Ohhh, she’s really different! He thinks she needs to learn how to clean herself better but it’s okay nobody is perfect! Carter doesn’t have a problem talking to anyone really, so he can ramble to the mute girl sometimes. He calls her Desert Girl.
Mckinley: Ooooh she’s really pretty and smart and-and-and- REALLY PRETTY! He has a crush on her but she only has eyes for Duke and Zack, totally not Tyus he doesn’t think because he’s gay. Secretly it’s one reason he wants Cleo and Zack to get together so badly, that way Mckinley won’t get with him!

Abilities: Mediumship (He can see spirits like his birth mother), Light Telekinesis, Strong Pyrokinesis(being a Monroe their pyrokinesis is extremely strong, and Grants have also been shown to have strong pyrokinesis so this is most likely his strongest ability), Witchcraft but mostly through the use of crystals and spell work, He has a spell that can create a small magical dome barrier around him and nearby allies (Other abilities can be discussed if wanted.)
Info: Tyus has always been a family kind of guy, and once he lost his family due to the collapse… Well, he found a new one. They didn’t replace his real family but he’s grown close with the others and he cares about them deeply. He has the back of everyone in the group no matter what. He’s not the strongest witch but he does know how to use crystals in a variety of ways through magic. He’s really into cars, so when given the chance he’s usually the driver for the group.
After the collapse Tyus managed to survive with a small group of people before they were all killed by a variety of monsters. It was 5 months after when he was found by Luke and Ripley, being only 16 years old at the time. He was terrified and traumatized but over time he’s gotten back to his old self and it’s all due to his new family.
Duke: Tyus has always been drawn to the strong protective types like Duke. He’s definitely developed a bit of a crush on him. He respects him and is slightly scared of pissing him off. He doesn’t know he’s a skinwalker.
Blakely: She’ a vampire and they kind of freak him out as a pack of them killed a lot of people in his group he was in after the collapse. Though over time he’s gotten to see Blakely for who she is, he likes her, he’s just secretly still scared of her. She knows a lot about magic too and he enjoys talking about it with her.
Cleo: He gets along with her well and is really worried about the anger that consumes her. He’s begun to enchant crystals that he has to periodically recharge in order to keep them working. They help keep Cleo calm as long as she has one on her.
Zack: He’s a really cool dude, and is even teaching him other languages to help aid when doing magic. Right now all Tyus can do is normal english and Latin, but he’s learning a bit of arabic and just a tad of Scottish Gaelic.
Carter: Tyus likes Carter, he does. He’s a great kid, but he can be a little overbearing at times… And dare he say, annoying? Only because he keeps coming up with crazy magical technology ideas! Majority of those won’t work! But he doesn’t have the heart to tell him that.
Maia: She gets under his skin in the worst possible way because she has a tendency to take the items he needs for his witchcraft and he has to jump through hoops or go to Duke to get them back, and regardless how many times it happens she always does it again to the point he thinks she finds it funny.
Mckinley: He and Mckinley end up working together a lot due to the nature of their jobs and her knowledge of creatures has come in handy on more than one occasion, and he’s grown to appreciate it a lot as such. Even if she weirdly stares at him a lot… What is that about?

Info: Maia is from a world of endless deserts, where water is a rarity and monsters run loose. She’s used to that sort of thing, and had to have a pretty rough childhood as a result. Because her parents died to the harsh world she was raised by her grandmother, Angie, originally until they came in contact with The Grants. Maia’s parents died at some point when she was just a little toddler. The Grants, a group of psychic cannibals, managed to sway Angie and her friend Richard into staying for a time, and Angie found herself a bit charmed by the head of the group - Tyson.
Within a week, Angie went missing - with it being left to assume that she went into the cannibal family’s stomachs but there was no way to know for sure, and when the group turned their attention on the young Maia, Richard managed to take her and escape and would go on to take care of her for the remainder of his days until she was ripped away due to the collapse.
Maia is a bit stunted in talking to and dealing with people due to her upbringing and the world she came from - but she’s possibly the most competent survivalist amongst them, able to last for a good while out on her own if she needs to. She has trust issues. (Note that she can develop in character and learn how to open up more and to trust others.) She’s not a bad close quarters fighter, either, favoring blades in up close fighting. She doesn’t like guns, she thinks they’re for people who can’t fight. Because of the life she lived, Maia learned how to steal whatever she needed or wanted, so she has a bit of a kleptomania problem.
Maia was found by Ripley and Luke after she stole some food from them. Luke used his ability to freeze her and only unfroze her head in order to get answers out of her. They got her story, everything she had been through and they were shocked to learn about the world she came from and how she had been surviving for a year and a half after the collapse and she was only 14 years old. They took her in and it took a very long time for her to start even acting somewhat normal but as more time passes, the better she’s becoming.
Duke: She doesn’t have much of a relationship with Duke, but she thinks the fact he uses guns is lame. He’s got all that electricity power and muscles, yet he uses guns. Boring and she doesn’t respect it. She doesn’t know he’s a skinwalker.
Blakely: She thinks she’s cute but if she ever gets her fangs anywhere near her neck she will stake her so fast. If there was anyone Maia speaks the most to, that’d be Blakely.
Cleo: She thinks Cleo is a lot like her in the sense that she doesn’t really talk with people much. She is aware that Cleo likes shining things so sometimes Maia will steal shiny things to give to her as presents, even if she doesn’t really talk to her when she gives them.
Zack: He leaves her alone and she likes that, so he’s probably one of the ones in the group that she likes the most. They don’t really know each other well.
Carter: She thinks he’s cute until he starts talking too much. Honestly, then he starts annoying her. Especially when she doesn’t understand 90% of the things he talks about. She doesn’t get technology and may be slightly technologically impaired.
Tyus: She steals crystals, ingredients, books, and all kinds of things from him. She’s a kleptomaniac and she hasn’t learned to be sorry about it yet.
Mckinley: For some reason SHE’S the one that freaks Maia out. Not the dragon. Not the lightning guy. Not any of the super power kids. The normal hunter girl. She has a perfect “mom voice” and she hates being lectured by her.
Info: Mckinley is a normal girl who was raised in a family of hunters and because of it she knows a lot about… Well, a lot. Especially after the collapse she started to research even harder so she knows of creatures from all kinds of places. She loves to read, mostly about the supernatural but nonetheless. She’s also extremely talented in combat and using a gun. She might not be to the level of say Maia with fighting or Duke with a firearm, but she is one hell of a shot and a fighter for her young age.
She has trouble with accepting creatures, she grew up with them being the thing of horror stories and was told they were bad. So she really has trouble trusting some of the creatures in the group, them being Blakely and Cleo… Though she is trying to work on it. Doesn’t just happen overnight. After the collapse she witnessed even more horrific things, that don’t help creatures in any way… But she also witnessed some crazy people. If it wasn’t for Duke, she knows she would’ve died after the collapse. He protected her and tried to get her to some mystery safe city on the east coast but they never made it there. Instead they met Luke and Ripley after 3 months and decided to stay with them.
Duke: Mckinley is very fond of Duke, as he saved her after the collapse and ever since then she’s felt a deep loyalty to him. She doesn’t know he’s a skinwalker, but she’s aware he has supernatural abilities. Mckinley may or may not find herself daydreaming while staring at Duke sometimes… She’s a sucker for blue eyes.
Blakely: Strangely enough her mother turned Blakley into a vampire in some other reality. The two bonded over that fact and Blakely is the reason Mckinley has learned that not all creatures are monsters.
Cleo: She kind of freaks her out…. The outbursts of anger she has and the fact she’s a scary dragon with insane abilities? She tries to be friendly but she doesn’t like to be alone with her and stays out of her way.
Zack: She has a bit of a crush on Zack, but she keeps it to herself. His brains are really what attracts her to him. Well that and he’s really sweet and… Did I mention she’s a sucker for blue eyes?
Carter: He’s adorable, always tripping over his words and acting dumb. He’s like a cute little brother.
Tyus: She thinks he’s cute, even though he’s gay that doesn’t stop her from loving them blues of his… LIKE I SAID SHE LIKES BLUE EYES. All in all they get along pretty well.
Maia: She’s always getting onto Maia about stealing and if she catches her, she will make sure she returns whatever it is and apologize. Unless it’s something from some kind of evil bullshit, then it’s whatever.
