History: Burned out from attempting to help clients who refuse to put forth the effort necessary for change, she finally had enough and abandoned her Private Practice of 2 years. Despite her seemingly superhuman ability to connect with her clients and feel what was in their hearts and minds, getting them to do what was necessary was another story and this gnawed at her constantly. While able to be in-tune with others, she was hopelessly out-of-tune with herself. She lived quite aloofly, feeling like an outsider everywhere she went. She had difficulty forming any real meaningful relationships, and had many destructive romantic relationships up to this point. She had studied 4 years undergraduate work and 2 years of graduate school just to change course and go into the Police Academy. She was tired of feeling stuck and yearned for a sense of power and control, a true ability to make a difference in the world. She joined the LAPD and at 30 years old, she was scouted for the FBI due to the highly specialized and unparalleled detective skills she exhibited. Up to this point, she did not understand what it was that made her different, nor did she know about the supernatural world. In the course of duty, she encountered a group of hunters who decided that she would be a strong addition to the team and she once again abandoned her job for perceived bigger and better things. She was introduced to the world of the supernatural, and was beginning to tap into her psychic abilities. This hunter family was the first time she finally was starting to feel like she belonged. However, tragedy tore their group apart and she was on her own once again. Prior to joining up with the hunters she had been focused solely on her work, constantly attempting to grasp onto a sense of power and control; however, this was a coping mechanism she unconsciously used to mask her complex trauma. Losing her hunter family began to trigger her past trauma and began to drag out this repressed childhood trauma in the form of flashes of memory. This is where she is currently at in her story, fresh from the loss of her connection to the supernatural and the people who had almost begun to feel like real family. [Her childhood trauma included severe neglect and abuse, before being adopted late into her adolescence to a very kind family that she could never fully trust due to her past. The full extent of this trauma had gone undiscovered until recently... the specific details of her maladaptive and destructive behaviors may be revealed via RP.
