Abilities
Dance - At age twelve, Raziel began dance training. He has always loved movement and found an outlet in dance he'd never had before. He has studied avidly and his discipline coupled with his natural talent have made him a highly skilled dancer. To the point where, on the road, Dallas has pushed him to enter street dancing contests for money, as well as made him do the robot/etc on street corners with a hat out for coin. He knows almost every style of dance to some degree and is a master of many. This has the added benefit of equipping him with extreme agility, high stamina and a high thresh hold for pain. He can be fancy and sneaky at the same time.
Hit like a girl - Raziel knows basic self defense. Dallas taught him when they were kids. His mother made sure he could defend himself as well. He has studied capoeira but has zero experience applying it in the practical sense.

Personality:
Raziel isn't your average seventeen year old kid. He has a patience and empathy beyond his years. While he cares about the well being of others as a whole, he tends to keep to himself. He is quiet listener, intensely focused on the world both within and around him but not so much in the connection between the two - or even his place in it. He is polite and a little stand-offish, only having so much to say when it comes to most people. There are very few people that Raziel has a true connection with. This isn't purposeful so much as instinctual. Being raised on the road hunting to then spend formative years homeless and neglected left him feeling cut off from other people at large. This is also because he is extremely driven. Unlike other people his age, he counts every moment as precious, as time that should be spent working towards his dreams. The only thing in this world Raziel takes for granted is Dallas, a fact he is completely oblivious to.
While his mother made many poor choices, the one thing she did nourish in Raziel was his eagerness to learn. Perhaps the only thing he and Dallas share is their voracity for knowledge. Their mother kept him busy with literature and quiz books. Nothing distracted Raziel from his growling stomach like a book. For a while (off and on during ages 9 to 11) they traveled via libraries, staying in them from open to close, his mother presenting herself as tutor for petty cash when she wasn't taking Raziel through lessons. For his part, Raziel would spend hours lost in books. It was an escape he relied on heavily to cope with what was happening to him and his mother. This was how he managed to not only stay on grade-level throughout the years but leapfrog over other students his age.
As far as romance is concerned, he's never really thought about it. Raziel has never fully relaxed or cut loose enough to think about things outside of what fills his need to survive and his need to mentally escape. Despite the stable and well-meaning home his Aunt Jenny has provided for him, Raziel has never been able to break from the stranglehold he has on the idea that it could all go away at any minute. His gut instinct is to be prepared and preparing means being ready to take care of himself, to have nothing but the shirt on his back to enter the world with. The idea of playing video games with friends or dating someone feels frivolous to him. He broke free of the nightmare of hunting and then the nightmare of his mother so now he feels an insatiable need to build his own world out of his own dreams and desires. To be happy.
In dance, he has found a focus for his dreams. The unnamed tension in him finally has an outlet that doesn't need words or any kind of acknowledgement that his conscious mind wants to block out. His body can burn up and push out the stress/anxiety/tension he doesn't otherwise allow himself a release for. Raziel is completely oblivious to these reasons for why dance clicks so well for him. He just believe he has priorities and those priorities include getting to where he wants to be in life - and never looking back.
His relationship with his sister is both complicated and non-existent. On the one hand, he feels just as abandoned and betrayed by her as she does by him wanting a civilian life. His very nature is opposite of what his father/sister tried to instill in him - he's gentle, avoids violence and is becoming a vegetarian. On the other hand, he shut down the pain of losing Dallas, the fear and confusion it caused so long ago that now he feels like there is nothing there at all. Sure he knows he loves her, but in that obligatory sort of way. He forced himself to forget her along with the pain of losing her so now being around her is extremely weird. Slowly, as time goes on, the wall of apathy he built will have to crumble down. He has no idea why he agreed to two years with her and chalks it up to the idea that maybe this will put his past and family to rest once and for all. He has not told Dallas that their mother is locked up in a mental health facility.
He has no relationship with his father. His father has never tried to find or contact Raziel.
Raziel doesn't believe in most of what he was told as a child when it comes to hunting and the Younglove's beliefs. The only thing from his hunting days he believes is true is that those monsters he encountered actually exist. He also goes by his mother's maiden name rather than Younglove.
Raziel has the fashion sense of either an old man, a failed hipster or a gay librarian (depending on your view). Most of his clothes come from the thrift store and his outfits include suspenders 95% of the time. Any fashionable moment he has is purely accidental.
In short, Raziel is a sweet, kind kid who really needs to learn how to have fun.

History:
Raziel was raised hunting on the road with his parents and older sister Dallas. The Youngloves are an established hunting family line but have a reputation for their eccentric beliefs. They're sort of the backwards cousins everyone is embarrassed by at the family reunion. Any Hunter who has been in the game a few years has heard at least one rumor or strange story involving a Younglove. Another way to put it - they're the hillbilly gypsy branch of the American hunter culture.
An example of this is their view on redheads - particularly gingers. They believe a demon's true corporeal form is that of a ginger and so any ginger is immediately suspect as either a demon in their true skin or a human who is possessed. They're viewed as unlucky, ill omens and untrustworthy. No one is sure where this belief came from but it has been passed down through the generations for as long as any living Younglove can remember. Conversely, Youngloves have an extremely liberal view of witches. They believe some creatures' true origins were that they were human witches who suffered from a curse, a misfired spell, any number of things. But they also believe a witch is as likely to be good as evil.
When their parents divorced, Dallas was 13 and Raziel was 8. The kids were split between them. Dallas was kept by their father as she avidly loved hunting. Raziel was kept by their mother as he was more malleable. What neither Younglove kid knows is that their father was growing increasingly suspicious of Raziel and his wife. He wanted to start "cleansing" rituals due to Raziel being a ginger (he'd assumed Raziel would grow out of it at some point). This isn't the only thing that destroyed their parents' marriage but it was a contributing factor.
Raziel and Dallas were extremely close - they were the only kids they saw for more than a few days at a time. With all the horrors they were exposed to, Raziel had frequent nightmares and spent a lot of time being terrified. He was a natural pacifist, unwilling to go for blood even if he wasn't too scared to move. Dallas was always his main protector and spent every waking moment playing with him, distracting him and watching over him. But when it became clear their parents were splitting them up, Dallas promised Raziel she would find him and take him back once their father no longer needed her help.
For two years (ages 8-10), Raziel and his mother continued to hunt but purely as a means of survival. Over those two years they transition from hunting to simply being homeless. By the time Raziel is ten, his mother has run out of cash and they take to staying in women's shelters when they can and libraries for the rest of the time. Stealing and begging was against his mother's principles despite watching her son starve so they urban foraged/dumpster dove for food. Unfortunately his mother spiraled into a dark depression and eventually attempted to take her own life. This triggered her very mild psychic ability to see the shadows of the dead to kick off into full blown contact with the dead. The shock of this coupled with her already fragile mental state broke her ability to communicate coherently with those around her. At only eleven years old, Raziel managed to drag her to a hospital. She was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and the only family member who will pick up the phone when child services called took Raziel into guardianship. His mother was committed to a mental health facility and has remained there ever since.
By his twelfth birthday, Raziel was living for the first time in a house with a stable, consistent caregiver in the form of Aunt Jenny in Philadelphia, PA. He went to school for the first time and met people his own age. He got a taste of the possibilities a mild, middle-income life could give. Needless to say, he took to it like a fish to water. With almost desperation, he dove deep into studies. Aunt Jenny took him to the YMCA she works weekends at and there Raziel tried his hands at every sport/activity they had to offer. It was a hula class in the summer that exposed him to a whole new world of possibilities. With Aunt Jenny's backing, he started taking class after class at local dance academies and thrived.
At 17, he is already applying for colleges when Dallas literally breaks into Aunt Jenny's house and talks him into a promise he'd forgotten all about.
Despite his reservations, Dallas manages to convince him to hunt with her for at least two years. They have been on the road together for three months at the point where they join End of the Road.

Raziel rolls over on the motel bed and slips his suspenders off his shoulders one at a time. "I thought it was a start. A restaurant that specializes in frogs? Follow the profit, mom always said, and that's the only place that could profit from frogs. If the kidnappings and frogs are even related."
"Follow the profit? What is she, Gordon Gecko? That's really stupid," Dallas sits on her bed and drops the flier onto the bedstand. Her bangles and necklaces jingle as she extracts a feather earring, drops it on top of the brochure.
"Well? You're the expert," Raziel flails his fingers in the air, drops them limp on his stomach. He looks over at her, scrunches up his forehead as she drops a heavy bronze necklace onto the bed stand. "What do we do?"
"Don't worry about it. Big sis has it all mapped out."
"That worries me more than actually telling me the plan would."
Dallas shakes her head, her silvery mouth curving crooked. Her hair is a wildfire of bramble and braids. She raises a naked finger and tsks at him. "Have faith, baby bro."
Raziel flops off the bed, slaps at her hand when she tries to grab one of his suspenders on his way to the bathroom. In the doorway he turns, slips his hair tie out. "Do you need to use the bathroom before I shower?"
Dallas holds up her hands like a clam, pats her palms together encouragingly until he tosses her his hair band. She shakes her head, grins at him as she smooths her hair back into a lopsided ponytail. "If I gotta piss I'll just come in."
"No, you won't. I'm locking the door."
Dallas quirks a brow at him, laughs as a jellyfish of red blooms in his face. "Okay, okay, I'll use the sink."
"Are you insane?"
Dallas melts into cackles, "The look on your face!"
"Just- don't pick the lock and don't urinate in the sink."
"It's all porcelain anyways-aw, Raz, don't be like that, lil buddy-" Dallas laughs as the door huffs shut and the lock tumblers turn three times.
