Eric specializes in all things demonic. His knowledge of demons and hell go far behind even the most seasoned hunters.
Eric knows many languages and has a fascination with history and has some very interesting artifacts. Below are the notable ones.
Special Amulet - Eric wears a small amulet at all times that he gained from Egypt. The amulet protects him from demons, or so he was told. The amulet reacts when a demon is near by glowing a red color and it cannot be touched by any demonic presence.
Book Of Thoth - A legendary book containing powerful spells and knowledge, said to have been buried with the Prince Neferkaptah in Necropolis.
Ring Of Dispel - A ring given to Sir Lancelot by the Lady of the Lake which could dispel any enchantment.
Kavacha (Armor of Karna) - Impenetrable even to heavenly weapons.

Special items that are bought from the store will go here.

Likes (At Least 3):
❤ Smoking - Even though it is very bad for him, especially now with his health condition he still likes to smoke and has done so since he was in his early twenties.
❤ History/Mythology - He's always had a love for history and mythology, he even planned to be a history professor before he was introduced to the supernatural world.
❤ Peace And Quiet - He likes to be able to just relax in the quiet, whether it is dead silence or the sounds of nature.
Dislikes (At Least 3):
✗ Nowadays Music - He doesn't like any of the music coming out now and that is why he never listens to the radio.
✗ Shopping For Personal Items - For some reason he always feels awkward buying anything personal whether it is just toothpaste, deodorant, or under clothing... He really hates buying condoms which you'd think he'd get over all this seeing as he is in his late forties, but somethings never change.
✗ Glasses - He needs glasses to read but he hates wearing them. He thinks he can try and tough it out and read without them, squinting but that always ends in headaches.
Fears (At Least 2):
☬ Going To Hell - It's not even the torture. It's all the bad sons of bitches who are down there. He knows all about the demons that are in hell, and they scare him the most.
☬ Seeing His Brother As A Demon - The thought terrifies him. He doesn't know how long it takes for a human soul to be warped into a demon but he knows that it will happen to his brother one way or another and he doesn't ever want to come face to face with that.
Goals (At Least 1):
★ To Find An Apprentice - Now that he is dying Eric wants to find a student or students to teach everything he knows and to have them continue where he left off.
Personality:
Eric is tired. He's lived a while and he's hunted over half of his life. He's seen and done a lot. He knows what is out there. At least the bad anyways. Eric doesn't know for sure if there is a heaven, angels, or even a God... He wants to think there has to be with all the demons but he's only ever heard stories and read lore. He just wants to rest in peace, go on to somewhere he can finally be happy and not have to worry about the things that go bump in the night.
Unlike most typical hunters, Eric isn't a grouch. You'd think he would be with all he's been through and how old he is but he's actually a very nice guy. He tries to help in any way he can. Whether that help coming in the form of saving lives, changing a flat tire, teaching and guiding new and young hunters along their journey, etc.
He is usually very closed off, staying to himself usually just because it was easier but now that he knows he doesn't have long to live that is changing. He wants to find students, apprentices he can teach. He knows about so much and he figures what good is it all if he dies? He has to spread the knowledge and teach the next generations so they can know what's out there and be ready as well.
He doesn't require much of anything to be happy. A nice warm bed, a good meal, and Eric is usually a happy camper. He doesn't dwell on the negative things, he tries to keep a happy demeanor even when everything is looking down. The only time that he might seem different is when he loses someone very close to him or they get hurt.
Eric is a demon specialist but he also specializes in ghosts. He can tell what kind of spirit something is just by seeing it because he's become so good with it, and he's extremely smart when it comes to history/languages/spirits/demons. He knows about some of hell's biggest secrets and things that even the oldest of hunters never learn during their time.

History:
Eric was born to a married couple by the names of Bradley and Miranda Gilbertson. He was the first born of three children, his brother Brian being the middle child, and his sister Jessica being the baby. The trio grew up in a very normal life, their mother being a stay at home mom as their father worked in a shop where he built car engines and what not. From early on Eric was a bright kid, getting praise from his teachers whenever there was parent teacher meetings. It was when he was 17 however, Brian 13, and Jessica 10, when their father was taken from them. It was stupid actually... Their dad wanted to get home in time from work to take the children out to the local fair and he was already a little late. When a train was coming he decided to try and go through quickly but the train came and snapped his vehicle right in half, killing the man. It was very hard on Eric, being told by many that he was the man of the house now and to watch out for his mother and little siblings. School was rough on Eric during that last year but he graduated and before he knew it he was going to be a father.
He was only 17 but Eric was so excited, he couldn't wait to be a father. He couldn't wait to have a child of his own. It was when he was 18, after graduation that his baby boy was born into this world. His son was his pride and joy and he married his mother, Rachel. He loved her and the two seemed to have a very promising future ahead of them. It was tough at first, Eric going to college and Rachel having a job as a waitress at the local cony island around the block. Even though it seemed rough at times, they were happy. It was when he was 20 that it changed... On her way walking home from work Rachel was attacked by a vampire and was forced to become one. She was left there unconscious in the snow, as it was in late December. When she finally came to she went home and ended up attacking Eric. He barely could fight her off, getting bit on his neck by his now vampire wife. He managed to get away from her, grabbing his 2 year old son and getting in the car. He hurried to the hospital and told them that some kind of animal attacked him. After getting checked out he took his son to his mother's and then went back to their home... Rachel wasn't there however. She was gone and there was a note that said I'm sorry. It felt like Eric's world crashed all around him. He sat against the front door, crying the rest of the night until eventually going to his mother's the next day.
He had to know what happened to his wife. What she had become. He began researching, and getting into all kinds of different local stories and eventually he started to get some actual facts, some actual real evidence of the supernatural. He left his mother's, where he had started to stay with his son since Rachel was gone. He tracked down strange deaths with bite marks on the victims, deciding that he would find her and bring her home. However he met a hunter on his journey and he learned way more than he bargained for. He found out that there wasn't just things like what his wife became but there were also vengeful spirits and demons.
It was when he was 21 years old that Eric managed to finally track down his wife. He found her... Hiding in an abandoned building but what was horrible was that the building was filled of corpses... people she dragged there and drunk dry. She wasn't the person he knew anymore, she wasn't human, but a monster. once he saw that and she tried to attack him he was forced to decapitate his wife. He didn't even cry... He was just filled with rage, as he already mourned her. It was when he got back to his mother's that his siblings were waiting there, demanding an explanation for his behavior. They told him he couldn't just keep leaving like he was, that it wouldn't bring Rachel back. Eric told them about the world of the supernatural, and of course they thought he was crazy... Until he showed them proof.
Now that his family all knew about the supernatural he was able to hunt without hiding things from them. He would find cases and investigate anything that seemed weird, trying to find out if something supernatural was behind them. He did this for a while until he was 24. His son suddenly was sick and weak all the time... And Eric had no idea that there was a shtriga around, feeding on children. By the time he found out that there was something supernatural behind it, and he killed it, it was too late... His son, Mark, already passed away. Eric grieved hard. He already lost his wife and now his child. He quit hunting for a while, some nights were easier than other's but he never actually got over losing him, he couldn't. Even if people didn't understand like his drug addict sister who went off on him multiple times, telling him he needed to get over what happened.
It wasn't until Eric was 26 that he returned to hunting... it wasn't voluntary, no. His brother made a deal to bring back his eye sight after losing it because of a disease. Eric told himself he wouldn't let his brother die, that he already lost too much and Brian was the closest person he had left. It started out with him reading and reading and reading but it soon became into an obsession. Eric would spend hours upon hours, without food or rest both reading lore and actually tracking down demons to interrogate. It was because of his obsession and drive that he ended up learning all kinds of things about hell and it's demons.
Eric's obsession led to his sister telling him she didn't want anything to do with him or Brian, that she was done with them and all the supernatural crap. She went on to do drugs like she usually did, staying in halfway houses and doing cocaine. As much as he wanted to help his sister, he had to help Brian. He had to find a way out of this deal before he was dragged to hell and he lost another person. He wouldn't let it happen.
At the age of 28 there was a particular demon he was tracking down who was believed to know a lot about crossroad deals and Eric figured he would know how one is broken. He followed the demon's trail, who possessed people then had them jump in front of cars or off high buildings, killing them. All of which would leave notes but all the notes were almost exactly the same and sulfur was found, tainting the paper. It was on this hunt that Eric came across a man by the name of Zach Morgan. He didn't want Eric's help hunting the demon and told him that he had it handled but Eric told him he had his own reasons for going after the demon, that he had to interrogate him about how to break a crossroads deal so his brother wouldn't be dragged to hell. However, it didn't matter as Zach ended up exorcising the demon before Eric could talk to him. Eric believed that Zach did it to be cruel however Zach had to do it to save a woman. This left Eric with the thought of, if he can't save his brother now because that was the one demon he needed to talk to, that it would be Zach's fault. He never talked to the hunter again, holding a grudge against him.
About a year later, when Eric was 29 years old he finally came across the best lead he ever had... The King of the Crossroads. He met a demon named Crowley who he tried to negotiate with, to break Brian's deal but Crowley wouldn't budge. Crowley pretty much said tough luck and tried to get Eric himself to make a deal but there was none of that happening. Without the possibility of a deal Crowley disappeared, deciding that Eric trying to save his brother would be way more torturous than just killing him. Eric wanted to give up, figuring there was no other way but he wouldn't let himself.
Eric continued to just try and break his brother's deal for years but never had any luck. At the age of 35 he found out that his sister had a little boy and he tried to see him and her but she wouldn't allow it, telling him to basically... "Fuck off." He hated that his sister wouldn't have anything to do with him but he had other things to focus on... Like breaking his brother's deal. There was only a year left and it wasn't the longest year of his life. Eventually the time came when the deal was up, Brian began to hallucinate. Eric stuck by him through it all and when the clock hit midnight he watched as his brother was torn to shreds in front of his eyes.
It tore Eric apart. he began doubting himself. Hating himself. He couldn't save his wife, his son, and now his brother. He started to feel like he was the grim reaper, like everyone he cared about was dying off slowly and there was nothing he could do about it. He felt powerless. When he was 37 he wasn't hunting when he got a phone call by a kid named Lyle who needed help with a case. He was reluctant at first, not sure he could bring himself to hunt again. It was his first hunt since his brother's death but he decided he'd help this kid out. The case turned out to be a demon and low ranking one at that. He helped Lyle take care of it with no problem. He showed the young hunter how to make devil's traps and gave him a special necklace that would keep him from being possessed and sent the hunter back on his way.
He started to help people like that a lot. It was easier than going and doing random hunts and now he didn't have a goal... His brother was gone. When he was 38 he helped a man named John Winchester track down and find out the identity of a demon who killed his wife many years ago. He was going to help John go after the demon but the man vanished, wanting to handle it himself apparently and Eric decided to that it was something John had to do and he understood.
At the age of 39 he met a young blonde hunter by the name of Kadence. He came across her during a poltergeist case. He got to talking to the girl and she ended up telling him a bit of her story, about her brother being killed by a demon. Eric took a liking to the girl and told her he'd try and find out who the demon was and that they could go after it, because he knew of a way to kill demons. It was soon after that he met Jenna and Aaron, who were fresh to the whole supernatural world. He taught them a few things they didn't know and exchanged numbers, telling them that he'd be able to help them if they ever needed it.
He ended up leaving the US however, going to Egypt. There was too much pain back home... Constant reminders of his wife, child, and brother. He always loved Egypt and it's history and so it wasn't no shock to his mother when he said he was going there for a while and that he didn't know when he would be back. It was in this foreign country that he met a woman by the name of Kiya who turned out to be a witch. She was beautiful. Eric found himself falling in love again for the first time after his wife's death many years ago. It wasn't easy, he didn't forget her, he couldn't. He still loved Rachel but he knew he had to move on, stop living in the past, and he knew she would of wanted him to be happy. Eric and Kiya fell fast and she gave him a special amulet which was enchanted to let him know when a demon was near. He promised her he would never take it off, and he hasn't.
Life was great, he loved it. He wasn't hunting too much, besides taking care of some spirits here and there because who know Egypt had a ghost problem? When he was 40 years old he did an expedition with some help from Kiya and found the tomb of Neferkaptah in Necropolis. Inside was the Book of Thoth which contained many powerful spells and knowledge. Eric was so excited and happy that he proposed to Kiya to make the moment even more special, as he already planned to. She said yes and for the first time in a long time, everything was looking up.
That was until he was 41 years old and Kiya was killed by a demon... Kiya wasn't an evil witch but she got her power from a demon. She did good with the magic but when she wouldn't do as the demon wanted, it killed her and again Eric loses someone he loved. He packed what was important then left and went back to the States, wanting to forget everything that happened in Egypt... Even though that was impossible.
The next year, when he is 42 he comes face to face with a white eyed demon. He had heard and read a lot about them and already knew who the demon was. He followed electrical storms and crop failures, not knowing he was on the trail of a more powerful demon... It's name; Beleth. When he realized how powerful Beleth was he was surprised, because they were suppose to stay in hell, not surfacing normally. This fact scared Eric, wondering what the demon was up to. He went up against the demon but it used it's abilities to cause Eric to have a heart attack. Luckily he was found in time and rushed to the hospital where he was resuscitated... Not knowing that this heart attack would cause more problems later down the line.
After his close brink with death Eric decides to take a trip to Northern England. He heads there for a specific purpose, to find Joyous Gard, a castle which inside Sir Lancelot is buried. It wasn't easy to find, hidden with magic, making wanderers wander all around the castle without actually finding it but Eric managed to figure out how to navigate the labyrinth type woods and mountains. After finding the castle he went inside, finding his tomb and opening it. He retrieves the ring of dispel from his tomb which was given to Lancelot as a gift from The Lady of the Lake. Soon after he found himself traveling to India to follow up on a lead of Pandora’s Box but it ends up being a dud. However the trip doesn't prove fruitless as he ends up finding an old shrine which had been abandoned and no one ventured there anymore due to it being haunted. He dealt with the ghosts and inside he found the armor of Karna called which is also called Kavacha. Soon after he heads back to the US and just in time because a few days later his mother passed... She passed on in her sleep and Eric attended her funeral where he saw his sister again for the first time in years.
When he is 45 he gets the news that his sister and her boyfriend were killed by their son, Eric's nephew, Ewan. The news shocked Eric to his very core and as much as he wanted to take the baby, his niece, he couldn't, not having a way to provide for the child like she needed and Angel was sent into foster care. Soon he hears more bad news, his old friend Jenna's husband died and so he called, trying to get a hold of her but she refused to talk to anyone and eventually he stopped trying, figuring she was leaving the supernatural life behind.
Recently he found himself in the hospital after passing out in a motel room and not being able to be woken up... He started to experience shortness of breath and excessive tiredness and he was diagnosed with heart failure. The doctors told him he didn't have long to live and that he needed a heart transplant but Eric had no insurance and no money so he was out of luck. He sneaked out of the hospital and decided that he will just go on with his life, hunting, and finding someone to teach everything he's learned.

Dean watched as the young blonde suddenly stood up and held out her hand. She was leaving? Dean couldn't help but feel a bit of disappointment. Little did he know the blonde thought Dean was trying to get rid of her even though that was not his intentions. He also stood and took her hand shaking it lightly but firmly, the electrical shock he felt earlier not as strong as the first time. When she leaned over and kissed his cheek it took him a little off guard. Her warm yet moist lips sent a feeling much stronger then the electrical shocks he felt earlier every time they made slight contact. What was it about this girl?.... It was something very different, he felt an almost... pull to her like she was a magnet and he was just a fine piece of metal. Again, his mind blamed it on the fact that he was in Purgatory for a year and this was really the first time he had been with a girl alone in quite sometime.
Dean took her phone and put the number in, all the while realizing that she would probably never call. He knew better then anyone that you don't give the person your number you get theirs. He handed her the phone and their fingers brushed against each other. She put the phone back in her bag.
"Thank you again,"
As she looked at him, their eyes met once again, gazing into one another's for a split moment before a small sigh escaped her lips. Before Dean could ask what was wrong a knock and a small voice came from outside the door.
"Housekeeping!"
Dean immediately furrowed his eyebrows. What the hell was housekeeping coming around at this time? It wasn't right, and Dean knew it. He had been living in motels forever, it wasn't time for this. Not only that, but Dean had specifically asked to keep housekeeping away until after he was done with the room, just something he started doing just in case he planned on staying a while. Dean went to grab Bethany's arm as she turned to open the door but wasn't quick enough.
"Wait, don't- - "
Beth opened the door and there stood a rather small middle aged woman with with black hair pulled into a pony-tail and a light blue cleaning uniform. Dean's eyebrows stayed furrowed as he looked at the woman but her words sent a shier down his spine and blood pumping his heart even faster.
"Hello, Bethany,"
The woman's eyes turned coal black and her cold, devilish half-smile sent another shiver down Dean's spine when suddenly Beth was sent flying into the wall. The demon sped in, the door slamming behind her. It was if she didn't notice Dean, that she didn't even care that he was standing there as her glare stayed hooked on Bethany who was now being pinned to the wall with telekinesis. As she was being held there a coat hook stabbed through the poor girl's left shoulder.
Dean's index finger on his right hand twitched as he stood there for a second. Before long the Winchester was moving and pulling out a canteen of holy water from under his pillow. Thankfully back when he got the credit cards Dean also got the basics, salt, holy water, borax, the works. He quickly spun around a toss a bit at the demon, making her grab at her face and scream as she steamed. Thanks to the sudden pain, the demon's hold on Bethany was gone and she fell to the floor. Dean quickly sprinkled more on the demon and moved in front of the door.
The woman stood there, her hands covering her face as she was bent over and looking down. She slowly lifted her head and pulled her hands away. Her eyes going wide and the pitch black being even more visible.
"Dean Winchester?!"
The demon shrieked and as she went to quickly leave the body Dean kicked with full force and she was pushed back, falling on a rug set up at the foot of the bed. She looked up quickly at the ceiling seeing nothing and frowned, trying to leave again but when she couldn't her eyes shot to Dean. Dean walked over slowly and smirked, lifting up the corner of the rug revealing a devils trap. He spoke in a low and cocky tone.
"Got you, bitch."
The demon squinted her eyes and tilted her head as Dean got up and rushed over to Beth.
"You..... I heard you were gone, everyone did. How are you here?"
Dean ignored the demon and squatted to Bethany's side, his eyes full of concern. He looked at her and upon seeing her injury he quickly wrapped his arm around her and helped her up.
"Don't worry... You'll be okay... I'll fix you up."
Dean walked her over to the bed and sat her down, ways away from the demon. After looking at her wound again, he looked into her eyes.
"Hang in there..."
Dean turned around and walked up to the demon, standing right outside of the devil's trap.
"What the hell are you doing here?" He nodded back at Beth. "What do you want from her?"
"Not going to make me talk, Winchester." The demon shook her head and smirked.
"Yeah?" Dean raised his eyebrows as
he splashed more water in her face causing her to hiss. "Sure about that?"
The demon decided not to respond and Dean's anger and disgust took over.
"Fine. " Dean looked down at her, his glare latched onto her and not going anywhere. "Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus,
omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii,
omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica."
They'll love to know you are back!" The demon growled at Dean, causing him to pause a moment. "Yeah, well tell them I sent you." Dean paused again with a slight smirk and then he finished the exorcism. "Ergo, draco maledicte.
Ecclesiam tuam securi tibi facias libertate servire,
te rogamus, audi nos."
A cloud of black smoke came spewing violently from the woman's mouth and when down through the floor. Dean took a breath and quickly turned around to see Beth. He swallowed and walked quickly back over to Beth, sitting on the bed next to her.
"I..... should patch you up now."
The body of the woman laid there, not moving as she was gone. Dean reached over to the nightstand, bending over Beth slightly and pulling open the drawer revealing some medical equipment.
Dean took her phone and put the number in, all the while realizing that she would probably never call. He knew better then anyone that you don't give the person your number you get theirs. He handed her the phone and their fingers brushed against each other. She put the phone back in her bag.
